2. Kerrang!
Kerrang is published by Bauer Media. They are one of the UK’s
leading media companies and they also publish Q, and Mojo,
which are both music magazines aimed at roughly the same
target audience as Kerrang. This means they will be
interested in all the music magazines Bauer Media produce.
Bauer Media also own KISS FM and Magic radio. Kiss is aimed
at a young target audience and a similar age range to
Kerrang.
The majority of magazines they produce are aimed at men,
with only a handful aimed towards women.
They publish car, fishing, photography, golf, rail, bike, fitness,
and gardening magazines; all of these are aimed at niche
audiences, the same as Kerrang.
4. Q and mojo
Q and Mojo are both read mainly by 15-24 year olds, according
to the Bauer Media website. However, these two magazines
are dominated by male readers. However, Kerrangs readers
are both male and female, and there is a similar number of
male and female readers.
Q’s readership is 339,000, Mojo’s is 210,000 and Kerrang’s is
293,000. They all get similar numbers of readers throughout
the year however Q’s readership is only slightly higher –
possibly because of how long the magazine has been
publishing.
