My name is Elena Berkemeier and I am a
student at Grand Valley State University.
I am in my third year of college studying
to become a Secondary Spanish teacher.
My hope is to someday teach in the
elementary level as well. I have been
interested in Spanish for as long as I can
remember and have been taking Spanish
classes since I was in high school. This
coming winter semester I will be
traveling abroad in Bilbao, Spain to
further my Spanish education. It is my
hope to educate students as much as
possible at a younger age about a
language that is becoming very common
