3. Photoshop (CS3,6)
I have learnt how to use Photoshop at a
reasonable standard. I needed to make
my magazine. I used it for the spot heal
and adjustments and other tools which
help better a picture.
I went from using very tools to produce my college
magazine on the right to greater skill ability for my final
product on the left. For the college magazine I used very
basic text and the picture has no adjustments to it,
unlike the final product on the left because I used more
complex texts and have edited the photo.

4. Internet explorer
I needed to use this software because
I needed to do research on other
magazines and it was quicker and
more time efficient to use the
internet than buy and look through. I

5. Blackboard
I had to this because my teacher would post up
examples and help pages in case we needed it
when at home or college. This helped me
because I could access everything I needed from
any computer and wouldn’t necessarily need a
memory stick or anything like that.

6. Microsoft
I used several pieces of software from Microsoft
office for doing all my slideshows I used
PowerPoint because it was the best way to
present my work. I also used Microsoft Word for
things such as my article because it was big block
of text and Word has the best spell and grammar
check out of all the Microsoft office.

7. Slideshare
I used this piece of software on the internet because it helped my get my PowerPoint
presentations onto my blog. I could have used another website but this one was
recommended and worked very well so I didn’t need another one.
Blogger
I used this piece of software off the internet because I needed somewhere to post up all
my research and work. I could have used other blogging sites but this one was reported
to be the most reliable and safest.

8. Survey monkey
I used this website to produce and publish a survey so I
could find out what the public would want to read in my
magazine. I did it this way because it was the most time
efficient and cost affective.

10. Computer
I had to use a computer for to use all the software I have listed
above. I could not have done this project the same without a
computer because I have used it for everything from research to
making it. The only way I could have come out with a final product
is through writing and drawing everything out. The reason why I
didn’t do that is because it would have taken more time and cost
more money to do.

11. Video Camera
I used to a camera to record my interview when I was doing
my research. I could have done without a camera because I
could have just taken notes and then typed them up in full.
The reason why I didn’t do that is because it would have
taken more time and I was pushed for time throughout this
whole project.

12. Cameras
I used a camera to take the pictures to put in my
magazine. I couldn’t have done it without this piece of
hardware because I would have had no other way of
taking pictures and putting them into my magazine.

13. Card reader
I used this piece of hardware so that I could put the pictures from
the camera to the computer and then onto my magazine. I could
have done this another way which is use the lead the camera
comes with and plug the whole camera into the computer. The
reason why I didn’t do it that way was because I only had the
camera for a short period of time but I had my own memory card
so I could take the pictures off when ever I needed them instead of
taking them off the camera straight away and then maybe loosing
them.
