Bookshelf Editor 1.1 is a software program used to design a bookshelf containing books. Such books can be linked to local or external web pages. The
bookshelf system can be exported into a format which can be viewed in a browser or in an XML editor.
In order to enhance best possible usage of this application and to ensure full achievement for its users, it was considered very important to create a user

3.1.1 Profile of Test Participants
For this testing five people were recruited from a general population of known family and friends of varying ages. They were all novice users to this
application, meaning that they had never used a Bookshelf Editor before.
Four out of the five participants had many years of computer experience; P4 had only 1 year of experience. This is because she is still young at the
age of only 11 years old. The same four participants had some experience using print and online manuals, whereas P4 had no experience at all (again
due to her age). They all understood the English language and were knowledgeable users of internet browsers.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
A business report was prepared on December 2014 to address some usability issues experienced
on

website

Basta
Pasta
restaurant,
http://bastapastanyc.com/ , for improved customers' experience.
For this report, 3 of the 10 Heuristic principles proposed by Jakob Nielsen were used to briefly evaluate the website aiming to identify major usability
issues with the site. These Heuristic principles used were;

Another usability issue is that users clicking on the "Photos" or "Gallery" link on the site are expected to see pictures of different meals being served
and some interiors of the restaurant. The "Gallery" link shows abstract pictures not related to the site (see Fig .3) and the "Photos" link shows video
clips of the restaurants rather than pictures. These shows lack of consistency.

2.2 Visibility of System Status
It is assumed the first page that comes up on a website is its "home page" with some design features to gives potential customers some insight on
what the site is all about. The visual design of the site's "home page" has failed to convey any substantial information that it is indeed a restaurant.
Basta pasta written on the home page meaning "Just Pasta" according to google is not just sufficient enough to indicate it is a restaurant (see Fig. 4).
According to Nielsen (1995), users should always be informed about what is happening at all time on a system through the right feedbacks. A good
visual design of meals being served should be included at the background of the "home page".

The sub menus in the "Menu" link showing the categories of meals offered are all written in Italian language and users not familiar with the language
would not be able to categorize the dishes

We want to create an app that can be used on multiple phone platforms by users of varying technological capabilities that is rigid, stable, secure and
robust. As well as maintaining ease of use, easy to understand and fault tolerance in case of mistakes. Incorporating these techniques will also ensure
expandability with the release of future updates with additional support structures. Techniques: Consistency: the app must be consistent with any

Results: After analyzing the data and all the information collected from the user research we found the following results: * Those living in private
family accommodation or are friends with their cohabitants are mostly satisfied with current communication. * Those living with strangers felt
communication methods unsatisfactory and would benefit with home communication system. * Family members and friends mostly communicate
verbally and informally whereas strangers use email/text messaging and more formal communication. * Family members and friends feel that a home
communication system may add too much formality to household. * Accommodation with more habitants has less effective communication and feels
they would benefit more from a home communication system. * Most interviewees feel that a system should provide notifications, a calendar and
have a touch screen interface. * Some interviewees suggested avatars and user accounts as well as remote access to the system. * Interviewees

First off, it was really amazing to see all the different types of errors that can occur while using an EHR. Quite frankly, I found both articles extremely

Summary
The Benchmarking Quarterly Report provides the results of the Technology Enhancement Center's (TEC) most recent benchmark study that evaluates
the user experience and usability of T2 products. This report reviews the benchmark study of the Navy Leaders Guide mobile application.
During the 3rd quarter of 2015, TEC conducted a pilot benchmark study comprised of attitudinal and behavioral methods used to evaluate user
satisfaction and performance of the Navy Leaders Guide mobile application. Although 15 elected to participate in the study, only 10 participants
completed the full evaluation consisting of the Questionnaire for User Interaction Satisfaction (QUIS) (Chin, et al 1988) and a think aloud task analysis
(Ericsson, et al 1980).
Based on data provided solely by the QUIS, the overall mean is 7.75 (Very Good).

TEC benchmark studies measure the current user experience and usability of T2 and T2/VA co

courses is the goal of this analysis. The usability of any application needs to take into account as many varied platforms as possible during planning,
development and eventual launch and use (Hertzum, 2010). This is a multidimensional problem that needs to be dealt with at the initial phases of any
course development project. The recommendations in this analysis pertain to getting TUI faculty more aligned with the pain points, needs and
potential to increase long–term learning by relying on usability as a catalyst of great learning effectiveness.

The following recommendations follow the frameworks of aligning usability to the needs of students, ensuring their learning goals are met by using
