2. • My chosen genre is Rock music.
• This is because I think it had the widest range
of target audience being late teens and young
adults as this is the age where they will be
exposed to these types of music and artists.
Its quite varied between an audience of both
girls and boys as there are many female artists
breaking into the rock music industry such as
Paramore’s Hayley Williams.
3. Contents page
• This is a contents page from a recently
published magazine
• We can clearly see a number of
images used in this contents page as it
is to give the reader an idea of the
who the band are if they do not
recognise the name
• We can clearly see the title
‘DRUMMER’ and the page numbers of
the different sub articles.
• This contents page has an unusual
feature which is the date at the top
left which is not a common feature of
a contents page.
• The use of white seems like a common
theme with rock genre magazines, the
use of red and black are always good
compliments of the white background,
another common feature of rock
magazines.
4. Double Page Spread
• This is a double page spread
of a band named ‘my
chemical romance’.
• This is from a recent magazine
and the colours used in this
double page spread are very
eye catching and contrasting.
• It is extremely clever that the
author/ editor decided to put
the writing in a black box with
white writing, contrasting the
writings background, but
complimenting the photos
background.
• The photographer has also
cleverly got the band to dress
up in their most colourful
attire, making them stand out
as well.
