2. My target audience
• My target audience has quite a wide range as
it covers to genres ( rap and rock) so there is
quite a contrast in what they might look like,
because two very different genres have been
brought together your going to see quite a
difference in style between raprock fans some
swaying more towards the rock style of
clothing and some swaying more to the rap
style.
3. This fan looks like he would part of my
target audience, but he is also someone
who tends to wear more rock styled
clothing. The black and red colour
scheme connotes danger, death and
mystery and this fits in well with the
heavy rock guitar riffs and rap lyrics.
He is following the stereotype that
rock fans wear skinny jeans, plus the
fact that he is wearing a rock bands t-
shirt (Venom) shows that he is rock fan
and would be part of my target
audience.
He falls into the age group that I
targeted as well which is young adults
4. Again you can tell that these two
music fans fall into the rock genre if
not heavy rock/ metal. Because of
the way the are dressed and the
stereotypes that they are following.
Both of them are wearing a lot of
black clothing again connoting
death and/or mystery which is
associated with rock and heavy
metal music, the males hair, which
is a spiked Mohawk is a trend that
is followed by rock fans, and the girl
is wearing a bandanna/ headband
which has skulls on it which are
again associated with the rock
music genre
These two music fans would fall
into my target audience because of
the rock stereotypes.
5. These two males would come
under my target audience as they
look like rap fans. Because they
look like rap fans they would
come under the rap part of my
genre.
You can tell that these are rap
fans by the clothes and items that
they are wearing. For example
they both have on baggy t-shirts,
which conforms to that
stereotype of rap fans, another
stereotype they conform to is
they both have gold chains
around there necks.
6. This fan would fall under my
target audience. Though you
cant really see what he’s
wearing you can tell that he’s
a rock fan by the symbol he is
making with his hand, this
symbol is iconic with rock and
heavy metal fans. And
because of this it tells me
that he would fall under my
target audience.
7. This fan looks like he would fall into
my target audience for several
reasons. One they look around about
19, 20. my magazine is targeting
young adults so this age would fall
right into my target audience.
The baseball cap and the chain
around this persons neck are
associated with rap fans and the fact
that he has the baseball cap tilted to
the side is the stereotypical way that
rappers where there hats.
You can see from the picture that this
fan is of Asian ethnicity, this is
because my music magazine would
target all ethnicities.
8. Again these two music fans would fall
into my target audience because the
follow the stereotypes of being a
rock fan.
The hand gesture that the male fan is
making is one that has been used for
years by rock fans, also the hair style
that the male has is more
stereotypical of a rock fan (dark
black, covering one eye)
You can also see that these two are
rock fans because the tops they have
on are for a rock band .
