Coming in close second, heroin is the second and most common drug found on the streets. Although more expensive than cocaine, it is still
common among the homeless. Dealers are not at all hard to find in Skid Row. In fact, outside dealers have even been known to flock down to skid

that you could rely on it 100% because there was a slight dip in prices towards the end of 2015. But, it looked as though it was only for competition.

In all honesty, I did not know what to expect when heading into this internship. I knew my boss on a personal level being that he is my brother–in–law
but I only had brief experiences working alongside him and his employees. The very first day Derek, my employer made his expectations loud and
clear he was to have 110% and nothing less. The first week on my internship I was assigned to sorting through seemingly endless amounts of red iron

Many drug addicts do not have jobs or any legal means of generating income; they resolve to criminal activities such as theft, robbery, or aggressive
panhandling. Due to the addictive nature of drugs, the user will be compelled to want more and more in order to continue feeling "normal". It is what
fuels their addiction and as a result, a lack of motivation to do anything other than obtaining more drugs. The drug addict's family suffers from the
effects of the drug addiction as well through emotional stress and psychological decay. Drug addicts also encourage illegal drug trafficking by helping
fund criminal organizations. In fact, drug addicts are the reason why the billion dollar drug industry is as lucrative as it is. Without drug addicts, drug
traffickers would have no customers or buyers to help generate income. Huge amounts of tax revenue is going towards the war on drugs which includes
money going into police departments, border agencies, harm reduction programs, and anti–drug campaigns. The tax money being used to fight drugs
could be used to better our education or health systems; instead it is being used to fund harm reduction programs such as Insite.

The Problem Of Wet Pavement Clusters
Introduction: According to the United States Department of Transportation, there were approximately 2.6 million registered vehicles in 2014 and
with that number increasing over the past two years; the importance of studying our roadways and the materials that are used to produce roadways is
also on the rise [1]. There is a total of 2.7 million miles of paved roadway in the United States. The primary material for paving those roads is asphalt
[2]. Asphalt is a material that consists of bituminous oil mixed with sand and gravel. Asphalt makes a good material for paving roads because it is
cheap and easily accessible, however, it does have its downsides. Wet pavement clusters are sections of asphalt that become excessively slick after it
rains. This phenomenon can cause serious accidents that can be avoided by better understanding what causes wet pavement clusters to occur and then
researching different ways to stop them from developing. Research Questions: There are three major questions that need to be answered to decrease the
amount of wet pavement clusters in the United States. 1. What types of components can be added to asphalt to decrease the slickness of the pavement
after it rains? 2. Are there components that can increase the strength of permeable pavements? 3. Are there installation methods that can be paired with
new mix designs that increase permeability while still maintaining durability? Answering these three questions will not only revolutionize the way that

The Safer Cities Initiative of Los Angeles was brought upon the city in late 2006 by Mayor, Antonio Villaraigosa. The Initiative was primarily
designed to remove the homeless and mentally ill citizens from the isolated, 50 by 5 block, Los Angeles streets, known Nationally as Skid Row. In the

other words it does not allow people to save money and to invest it correctly. That is why debt rates are really high specially with young people.

than many of the cities on the list. While cities like Dallas and Houston allow young workers to spend about a third of their income on rent thus

make a large difference in the current status of homelessness and low income families in this country and a lot of people would not oppose
