Description:
The scope of the project is to Design of Electrical Harness for Interior air cabin for Bombardier Global
7000/8000 in the fuselage portion of the business aircraft. Also worked on Trailing Edge location of wings, which
helps to take off & landing the plane. It works through Roller kinematics mechanism. Here we have to provide the
best conceptual design solution by Creating Electrical Routing and installing it and also to avoid clashing with the
components coming in this region like Tracks, Roller, Track Ribs, Air load ribs, Skin panels, Spar etc.
These components are Aluminum Alloy, Titanium and Cress material mainly machined & Sheet metal
components. The modeling procedure is as per the BA Standard. All the CAT Parts should be linked with Skeleton
Model, parametric modeled using RLM Concept, color coating, Fastener points & Vectors, SP Collector, ARM,
Sub-assemblies. As per the stress concurrence, need the design the CAD model including proper fastener type with
optimum weight saving & easy manufacturability. After design freeze create MBD for all the parts. Finally we have
to create the installation drawing on which need to show the fastener attachment type, rigging procedure of Sub-
Assemblies.

PROJECTS PROFILE :
1. Project Title: Central Fuselage Design for Embraer project.
Software used: Catia V5, Enovia VPM, SAP, MATS
Client : Triumph Vought Aerospace
Description:
• The main theme of the project is extend the length of the Embraer E-Jet aircraft to increase the seating
capacity
• Inputs like Design Manuals, Input V5 models, RLM product, Bill of materials and Standard work instruction
(SWI).
• The inputs models and RLM product are downloaded from Enovia VPM database.
• Inputs models include all the parts coming under central fuselage section like Stringers ,Frames, Doublers, Shear
ties, Shear panels, Cross beams, stabilizers, cargo baggage,Intercostal, Seat tracks, window frames etc.
• Estimating and providing the Expected Completion Dates for each package to customer.
• Modeling of the detail parts using the input and making the sketch to be geometrically and dimensionally
constrained
• Linking the designed models geometry to the numerical master geometry (NMG) supplied by the customer.
• Numerical Mastergeometry includes surfaces,planes, points,curves,vectors etc.
• Providing the Model Based Definitions to the linked model using Functional Tolerances and annotations
workbench in Catia and capturing the views.
• Creation of 2D drawings for the parts modeled as per standards.
• Finally uploading the parts to ENOVIA data base, creating part list in SAP, Clash Check, Q-Checker reports and
releasing into MATS (model approval tracking system)
2. Project Title : Electrical Wire Harness Design for Boeing
Software used : CATIAV5, Enovia LCA
Client : Boeing Commercial Aeroplanes (Seattle, USA)
Description:
 Harness Design starts with the study of the definition provided in the System Schematic Diagram like
equipment part numbers, systemspecific and general notes, Interface systemflag notes.
 Study of Wire to Wire data.
 Understand the signal connectivity (Pin to Pin), Wire codes, systemshielding requirements.
 Identifying the equipment’s in the CATIA environment and Study the structure of the particular section of
aircraft.
 Proper selection of clamping devices based on the type of bundle and signal carriage.
 Provision of back shells wherever necessary.
 Routing the bundle by providing bend radius, slack wherever necessary and also sleeves, shields by following
Boeing standards.
 With Harness Reports methods dept. built the Harnesses on FormBoards and they test it
 Generate Installation Drawings, Harness Reports, Total bundle table.
 Apart from the above tasks assigning the Design Request to Fellow Engineers and providing guidance in
Execution, Methodology and Procedures.
 Resolving the technical Issues of teamand Quality check of Data before delivering to customer
 Interacting with customer on technical and account issues on weekly basis.
 Generating DMU Space analysis reports for 3D models, DMU 2D viewer reports for Drawings.
3. Project Title : Tooling for Boeing Commercial Airplanes for 737/ 747/ 767/ 777
Software used : CATIAV5, Enovia LCA, KBE Tools
Client : Boeing Commercial Aeroplanes (Seattle, USA)
Description:
 Boeing Commercial Airplanes is trying to convert the existing product definition data from the veteran version
Catia V4 to the new generation version Catia V5.
 Initially the Data will be migrated from the DIRRECT database to ENOVIA LCA database and then Converted
from V4 to V5 with all customer requirements.
 Study of Inputs like Boeing Design Manuals (BDM), Boeing Conversion manuals (BCM), Catia V4 Datasets,
Input 2D Drawings.
 Estimation of the package and providing the Expected Completion Dates for each package (ECDs) to customer.
 Creating Drawing as per Boeing Standards
 Resolving the technical Issues rose while conversion and Quality check of data before delivering to customer.
 Identifying automation areas to minimize the efforts and to improve the efficiency without affecting the Quality.
 Worked on conversion of rear spar, upper chord and lower chord of Boeing 777 as per Boeing conversion
standards and also generating drawings for these parts. All this is done using ENOVIA LCA, KBE tools etc.
 Generating DMU Space analysis reports for 3D models, DMU 2D viewer reports for Drawings.
4. Project Title : Modeling and Drafting of Monorail and Metro Vehicles
Software used: Catia V5, Enovia VPM & PDM.
Client : Bombardier Transportation
Description:
• 3D Modeling & Detailed Design of rail components.
• Detail drafting of Primary parts by showing all details including welding symbols, GD& T etc.
• Creation of Weld Drawings for the assembly inputs given.
• Clash Analysis for the car body is done and solving the clash identified.
• Creation of Production, Installation and Assembly Drawings.
• Preparation of Bill of Material (BOM).
