1. Assure Day 1-
Analyze Learners- 12 Girls, 8 boys. 14 white. 5 African American. 1 Hispanic. Students are either Juniors
or Seniors in High School and have completed at least one previous creative writing course during their
Freshman and Sophomore year. Prior to begging this class, Students were instructed to watch Star Wars:
A New Hope as it will feature prominently during the class discussion.
State Objectives-
Students will demonstrate knowledge of Superhero movies by participating in class discussion. All
students will participate at least once, by describing their own favorites and detailing why they are their
favorites.
Students will complete Webquest as presented in class.
Students will post their initial Pitch on Class Forum, here before end of class:

Posts will be graded on criteria of originality, theme, and grammatical correctness.
For homework, students will review other’s forum posts, and comment on at least two posts, offering at
least one of what they liked, and one piece of constructive criticism.
Comments will be graded on criteria of displayed understanding of the original post, thoughtfulness of
criticism and praise provided, and grammatical correctness.
Students will vist the Class Blog and complete the assignment to view the Push trailer and write out
what they believe to be happening within the trailer in 250-500 words.

Method-
Students will utilize a webquest, which incorporates video visual learning, reading, creative writing.
Participation in class discussion, and allowing students to openly discuss with each other during work to
allow students to get some insight from other students about what everything means, in case the given
material isn’t working for them. As well, the teacher will be circulating to answer questions, give
commentary, and ask questions of their own in order to further student understanding.
Media Formats-
Youtube. Zunai. Class Forum. Class Blog. And Internet sites. All will be available on individual computers
in the classroom.

Utilize Materials-
Computers in the Classroom will be powered up, and the Zunai Webquest, and Class Forum, will be
brought up on them. Students will have to log into the forum on their own, using their own profiles to
do so.
Class Blog is also brought up in a tab on the computer so that students can
QR code for the Forum, as well as for the Blog will be printed and next to the door for students to use as
they leave.
All links and assignments will be posted on the Class Facebook Group as well.
Require Learner Participation-
Students will participate in large group learning by discussing their favorite superhero movies and giving
details as to why those are their favorites. What draws them to those superheroes? All students will be
required to participate at least once.
Students will participate in individual learning by completing the webquest and initial forum posts and
blog posts.
Students will engage in interactive, small group learning by commenting upon each other’s posts as
homework.
Evaluate and revise-
Did students engage in the activities and show interest in the content?
Was everyone able to participate equally?
Was there enough time provided for everyone to complete the given in class assignments?
Was the overwhelming majority (70 percent or more) able to compete the objectives satisfactorily? If
not, why not?
