1. ŠIAULIAI „JUVENTA“ SCHOOL
School doors opened in 1971 in its first generation. In 1999/2000 school year, pupils and teachers
chose her a new name, and it was called „Juventa“ High School.
Our school always was famous of it‘s music. The idea - to develop a comprehensive musical
education in a harmonious personality, to be a model in Lithuania and abroad. By the end of the 8th decade the
school was experimental. Music teachers classroom activities and artistic expression was always in the city
republic, foreign scientists, academics-methodist, music teachers and other practitioners interested visitors
attention.
The teachers themselves were preparing music cabinets, arranging tables, producing visual aids,
produced panpipes, collected music records, compiled the record card file, song sets for 1-8 classes, were looking
and supervising very fragile and imperfect, small accordions used for music. The first music teachers were
preparing their own programs, concerning particular subjects for reinforced musical education. These works were
constantly improved and updated.
Musical achievements - are dedicated music teacher‘s merit of the work. The school trained many
singers and actors.
“Juventa” Basic School is in the city centre. Our school is with musical bias. 502 pupils attend
musical lessons: play various musical instruments, learn sol-fa, music literature, play and sing in various ensembles
and choirs.
School music groups are:
3 juniors choirs, youth choirs, vocal ensembles, solo singing, violin ensemble, instrumental (accordion, guitarist,
folk instruments, recorder, saxophone), ensembles, folk ensemble, folk music band, choreographic collectives.
However, our school is famous not only for his musical achievements. Our students actively
participate in various arts, sports contests and competitions. The most popular are basketball and square in our
school. The school are decorated with ever-changing exhibition of works by students.
Students participate in various projects: the Comenius, eTwinning, the city and the republic.

2. You can find a primary school drama, road safety, the fine arts section in „Juventa“ school.
The school board, which consists of parents, teachers and students works actively.
The school has a canteen, two IT classrooms, hall, dancing hall, a paradise for sports facilities, a rich
library.
In 2010-2011 school year, 964 students attend the school (515 girls and 449 boys). Works 96 teachers
(25 of them - the music).
There are 58 pupils with special needs, but they are integrated into school’s community and they receive individual
assistance.
