Locations & pictures the wells template 2
1. Description of Technical Codes
(Shot Types/Angles/Movement)
Action that will take place:
1- The shot types we are going
to use in this location: LS,
MLS and a CU. The angles are
mostly eye-leveled. There is
going to be one tracking
shot. For the ending, we are
going to also film a LS of the
swing.
2- The shot types we are going
to use in this location: ECU of
the husband’s eyes looking at
his wife and some MS’s of the
fighting sequence and
perhaps an establishing shot
of the house. And there is
going to be a LS of the
murderer sitting on the street
sign.
3- The shot types we are going
to use in this location: MCU
for the argument, lots of
close-ups for details such as
the ramson note, and a LS for
dad falling to the floor and
the man receiving the money.

Locations
1.A member’s house in the Wells (The green
way)
We have decided to use this location of a park
in The Wells, because it is local, and it has a
large swing in which is going to be iconic to
our trailer.
The possible risk assesment is going to be the
possibility of someone else using the park/
swing. And we need to be alert to this for our
own safety and theirs. Also we need to watch
out for not disturbing anyone or injuring
anyone around the area during filming. We are
going to seek permission to use this location
from the local council through a formal letter
attached to an email.
2.A street near a house
This is a street near a house, although it is most
likely that we are going to go outside the
members’ house, if permission to film is needed,
then we will mail or call the local council OR most
likely include this in the letter as stated above.
This location was selected because since we are
going to film the inside scenes of the house first, filming the
outside afterwards would still feel as if it’s a different house.
2. 2
This location is suitable due to the position of windows, the man (mirror)
inside the car can clearly see the windows. A risk assessment would be to
not break any objects around the area because of the fighting sequence just
outside the house, as well as making sure we are alert to any traffic on the
street.
3.Inside a member’s house
For our last main locations that we are going to use, we selected the
inside of a member’s house because it is of a middle class. It is
suitable for representing an everyday family arguing. Since there are
scenes where the murder receives the money from the husband,
husband breaking down in sadness, mum putting lipstick on etc,
there are going to be lots of emotions included in the shots that are
going to be shot. It is conventional for this to happen in households
in soap operas, so this location will be iconic to identify the trailer as
being a soap opera trailer. The main risk assessment here will be to
take care of their Property, as damaging someone else’s property
may lead to financial issues. Because we are filming at a member’s
house, permission from their guardians may be needed.
