2. The plan for our movie teaser (Michelle, Karim and
Jordan):
ā¢ There will be a green screen talking about the movie being appropriate for audiences, as well as our production label
which is MJK Studio. This is added to show the audience who created and who is distributing the movie.
ā¢ There will be a few car scenes going to the house to show the audience what the house is looking like and where it is
as some audiences may live in the same country or the same area.
ā¢ There are a few titles in to make the audience think for themselves, and also to help build up suspense and tension.
ā¢ There is the knife scene with Karim, it is important we added this in as it shows him at the phase where he is
possessed and he is going crazy leading him to attacking Jordan and wanting to kill him.
ā¢ There is a fast quick montage of different images to build up more tension to the audience and to conclude the teaser
together, then the title of the movie comes on at the end.
3. The plan for our movie trailer (Michelle, Karim and
Jordan):
ā¢ There is the green screen that talks about how the movie and trailer is age restricted. There is also our production label, MJK Studio, to show the audience who
created and is distributing our movie.
ā¢ There will be the scenes where Karim gets woken up by Jordan, as he is the one who initiates the idea and interest of going to see the haunted/abandoned
house.
ā¢ There is also a bunch of different car scenes that have been ļ¬lmed and included such as the car doors closing, the boys driving to the house and Jordan showing
Karim which house to stop at. Then to close it up it shows the car pulling up and parking outside the house, the audience are able to see what type of
environment the house is in, looking like a construction site and how big it is.
ā¢ There is then scenes where the boys are in the house and Karim sees someone pass him but Jordan doesnāt see it so he does not believe Karim as to what he
says. But Karim then gets touched by some devil creature, he then gets possessed.
ā¢ Then there is fast quick montage shots of phases where he is going crazy, and he feels the devil inside him. He starts to attack Jordan and has the temptation
inside him to kill Jordan but then the camera cuts off.
ā¢ There will also be titles that will come up on the screen to make the audience think what is going to happen, but it will leave them on a cliffhanger.
4. The plan for the poster
mockups (Michelle, Karim
and Jordan):
ā¢ There is an example of what we will be doing of our poster.
ā¢ One idea is to have the house as the background, and for Karim to be staring straight at the camera whilst having the
contacts in. Then the title will be top and our names as well as the production label.
ā¢ We are going to be trying the titles in white if we do the rest of the pictures in a dark grey shade.
ā¢ Maybe we can even add one of movie quotes/titles to the screen to add more effect, and this would perhaps make the
audience curious to watch it.
ā¢ Or we could only have Karim stood in color on the screen and everything else in a dark grey scale, but keep the title and
production titles in white.
5. The plan for social media mockups (Michelle):
ā¢ The ļ¬rst social media account that we will be making is a Facebook account. The reason as to why we will be advertising on this
platform is because this platform reaches out and contains the adults, so therefore there will be more people to watching our movie
trailer and teaser.
ā¢ The second social media account that we will be making is an Instagram account. This platform reaches out the younger audience and
this will be really beneļ¬cial for us as the youngest age to view our movie trailer and teaser is 15.
ā¢ The last platform that we will be advertising on the social media account is for Twitter and this social media platform reaches out to the
young adults and they would be also allowed and able to see our movie trailer.
ā¢ Within all these social media platforms/accounts we will be posting the release date to our movie trailer as well as our poster. We could
even perhaps post behind the scene shots to help to create the excitement for our audience.
6. Props and costumes equipment list (Michelle, Karim
and Jordan):
ā¢ We also need ļ¬ashlights for when we ļ¬lm in the dark, in order to ensure the audience will be able to see our actors. As well as to stay
safe when ļ¬lming on the higher ļ¬oors in case of Iphone ļ¬ashlights die.
ā¢ We have a camera - it is a Canon 4000D
ā¢ We will also use a car, not only to get to our location faster but to show the audience that the boys are old enough to drive.
ā¢ We also need to buy white contacts to show that Karim is possessed and it will help to create effect.
ā¢ We will also be using the coronavirus masks as we are conscious of the pandemic.
7. Risk assessment (Michelle):
Hazard Person Who Might Be Harmed Property Which Might Be Damaged Evaluation Of Risk Precautions Taken
There is an unfinished staircase
that has no rails.
The camera person would be
harmed if scenes were to be
filmed on the staircase as they
would be focusing on the boys
not the steps.
The staircase could break if too
much pressure applied or if we
dropped the camera it could
break.
The person who is filming will
not be going down or up the
staircase but the actors are
allowed when filming.
As a group we have decided we
would not be filming any scenes
on the staircase.
There are many loose wires
around the house on the walls.
Both the actors and person who
is filming could be harmed as we
are having a concentrated
mindset of getting the movie
trailer completed.
Other than us getting hurt off the
wires there are other people
around us in the compound so
we should be careful.
Donāt film scenes that are close
to the walls which have the
wires.
Film scenes away from the walls
with wires, or we could get the
certain tape to put over just to
be extra safe if anyone was to
touch it.
There are sharp objects on the
floor both inside and outside the
house.
Anyone could be harmed in this
situation if they are not wearing
the proper shoes.
As there are people in the
compound we should watch the
objects and try not to knock over
or break anything as it would
make noise and we film late in
the night.
Always be sure to look where
you are stepping and wear closed
shoes.
Wear sneakers or some shoes
that are not open like flip flops to
prevent getting hurt.

9. Mindmap ideas for your trailer, what inspired you
(Michelle):
ā¢ https://miro.com/app/board/o9J_le4xsls=/ - this mind map will have pictures to show as to where we got our ideas.
10. Film name ideas (Michelle and Jordan):
ā¢ Dollhouse- due to the doll was in the house that we found and explored
ā¢ Karma- due to Jordan throwing it out, so the doll made its way back in
ā¢ Watching you- due to the doll always keeping an eye on the boys
ā¢ Return from the dead- as the doll was dead and escapes
ā¢ Escapedā¦- links up to āreturn from the deadā
ā¢ Trapped-due the demon being stuck in Karim
ā¢ Playhouse - the doll that messes with the charactersā minds, playing around
From posting this survey monkey these are the results that we have received: Dollhouse received one vote, Watching You received 5 votes,
Trapped received 1 vote, Escaped received 2 votes and Playhouse received 3 votes. So therefore according to the audience our movie trailer title
that we would be using is āWatching Youā.
11. Font research (Michelle and Jordan):
ā¢ Who asks satan
ā¢ I know a ghost
ā¢ Tequila
ā¢ Blackboard
ā¢ Covid virus
According to the results from our survey: Who asks satan receives 10 votes, I
know a ghost received 9, Tequila received 11, Blackboard received 0 and Covid
virus received 2 votes. So from the results and the audience's feedback the one
font that we will be using for our title is Tequila.
12. Script for movie trailer (Karim):
Jordan: Karim, get up! Thereās this new abandoned house! We need to go
and check it out. Come on!
Karim: Okay fine. Let me wear my shoes.
Jordan: Karim, park here. Here here here! This is the house.
Karim: Here? This is the house?
Jordan: Yeah, this is the house.
Karim: Jordan did you see tha-?
Jordan: What the fuck man?
Jordan: Karim, stop! Stop it man! Youāre going insane!
13. Treatment (Michelle):
ā¢ Two boys will have the interest of wanting to go see an abandoned/haunted house that they have heard about. But once they arrive at the house
strange and uncanny things start to happen, where one of the boys becomes possessed due to a demon that has come in contact with him. He
then starts to go through these phases of where he goes crazy and he wants to attack and kill his friend. He then has the devils spirit in him and
he becomes unchangeable.
14. Location Recce (Michelle):
The bedroom and the bathroom is two different parts of Karimās house
where most scenes will be taking place. When Karim is going through the
phases where he is possessed we will see it happening in the bedroom and
where he goes to attack Jordan. The scenes that will be happening in the
bathroom are when Jordan is washing his hands and Karim is stood
opposite him holding a knife and staring at Jordan.
These two pictures are of our main location where we will be ļ¬lming our
movie trailer and teaser. This is located in Khalifa City which is close to
our other trailer location. This is one of two houses, but we will be
ļ¬lming in the back house. The reason we picked this house is because it
was abandoned and matched up with our genre perfectly as there were
many great qualities to this house. The house is so surreal as there are
many rooms that have household items in, as if someone used to live
here, in my opinion that is what is going to help to make our movie
trailer and teaser more believable.
15. Location Recce (Michelle):
This the second house that is on the backside of
the main house. We will be using this house to
ļ¬lm all of our scenes and shots. The windows are
empty and will be perfect places to put the doll
on, it would also be used for when Jordan throws
the doll out of one of the rooms. In the house
there are two ļ¬oors that we will be using, both
the ļ¬oors have different set ups of the rooms
which we will use. Even when it is night time the
house does get very dark considering it is open,
and we will be using some of the rooms to ļ¬lm
scenes in the night time. This will help to bring
out an effect and help to express our genre or
horror.
When you walk in the house this is one of the ļ¬rst rooms and we
will be using this room to ļ¬lm one of our ļ¬rst scenes. In this room,
the boys will ļ¬rst start appearing and will be walking around to
show off to the audience how the room looks. As we can see there
is a carpet on the left side, it could portray that someone used to
live here, and it is really old and full of dust. This then goes to show
that the house is abandoned and old and could perhaps be haunted.
16. Location Recce (Michelle):
In the house many of the rooms donāt
have doors and are just open as
shown above. This could indicate that
the spirits in the house are
everywhere and therefore the little
doll is easily so able to ļ¬nd the boys
as every room links up and it is easy
to see through them. There are also a
bunch of holes and patches in the wall,
we could possibly put the doll in one
these places, as if the boys entered
the room they would be able to spot
the doll easily.
This is one of the rooms we will be ļ¬lming in, there is a
chair where we could perhaps put our doll on, as if the doll
is waiting for the boys to ļ¬nd her. This room will help to
bring out our genre as it has an atmosphere that has an
ominous feeling/tone. If we look at the room we can see
that it is dirty and so the ideas that I get from this room by
looking at is that it could be a torture room and there are
bad things that are going to happen there.
17. Shooting schedule/contingency plan (Michelle):
ā¢ Day 1- Within the ļ¬rst two days we focused on getting all the house scenes ļ¬lmed and ļ¬nished. On the ļ¬rst day we wanted to get all the inside scenes
ļ¬lmed such as, where Karim is sleeping and then the scenes where he is going crazy and attacking Jordan.
ā¢ Day 2- The next day we started to ļ¬lm the outside scenes, but ļ¬rst we had to decide what car we were going to use and the different angles to the scenes
we did. It took us some time as we were trying to see what angle looked best and suited our plan the best.
ā¢ Day 3- On the third day we went to the house with Jude who is playing our ghost and wanted to see what time was best to ļ¬lm with her as we really
wanted to ensure she is getting shown off correctly. So the audience could clearly see her role within the movie.
ā¢ Day 4- On this day we started ļ¬lming the scenes where the boys are exploring the house, and took some shots following the boys around the house into the
two rooms we are mainly focusing on. We had the camera follow behind them, so the audience is able to see their reactions to what they are seeing.
ā¢ Day 5- We needed to ļ¬lm more house scenes except we had to ļ¬lm at Jordanās house, so we went over there to to ļ¬lm the main scenes where Karim is
going crazy.
ā¢ Day 6- On this day we checked through all our house scenes to make sure that we are happy with them and we did ļ¬lm some scenes in different times of
the days to ensure the lighting is okay and the audience can clearly see what is happening.
ā¢ Day 7-. On the last day we had mostly ļ¬nished all the ļ¬lming so we had gone through all our footage and checked each scene to see if we needed to reļ¬lm
or talked collectively as a group and to see if we wanted to add in any extra scenes.

23. Shot list with explanation (Karim):
Medium wide angle This is used to show the boys
inspecting and investigating a room
within the haunted house. It is also
used to show the audience the scale
of the room and know the contents
inside it.
Montage shots (3 act structure) The montage shots are used to cause
a feeling of anxiety within the
audience. It is also used to cause
uneasiness and to show that
something is wrong with one of the
possessed boys.
Close up We are using close up shots to show
Jordanās facial expressions to the
audience so they are able to analyse
how Jordan is currently feeling. This
can cause the audience to feel a
sensation of excitement or trouble.
Shot reverse shot This is used to scare the audience and cause them to
think and worry of what is causing the noise, therefore
making them become uncomfortable. It is also used to
show the conversation and facial expressions of the two
boys.
Long shot Long shots are being used to show the audience what
kind of environment the boys are in. It is used to establish
the mood and setting of the haunted house and the area
around it.
Over the shoulder (OTS) shot The OTS shot will be used to rotate the audienceās
attention to the house and acknowledge it. This is used to
cause the audience to become alerted and on edge due to
the creepy design of the haunted house.
Low angle shot The low angle shot is used to show Karimās facial
expressions as he is looking and examining the doll. This
is used to help the audience see how Karim is feeling and
understand his body language.
Continuous shot A continuous shot is used to show the audience the action
that is currently happening within the scene and causes a
sense of rush as everything is occurring in one
continuous shot. It also causes the audience to
understand the situation more without any editing or
cutting happening midway through the scenes.
