2. Double page spread
To create the double page spread, you have to
go onto pages and click onto 4 pages. Then
combine 2 of the pages together.
3. Bringing in Masthead
To bring in masthead, make a new file on photoshop with a
transparent background. Crop the masthead and save it as a new file.
Go back onto Indesign, click File<Place then select the file the
masthead is on.
4. Columns
To create the columns, while on the double page
spread, click on the text tool, then paragraph
formatting controls then go over to columns and say
how many you want. A conventional number would
either be 3-4 columns.
5. Drop Cap
After adding in text, while still on text tool, click
on the paragraph formatting tool then go over
to the drop cap tool and increase the size. This
is used to notify the reader where the start of
the paragraph is.
6. Colours and swatches
For the colours element on this. I used the colour tool
where you can choose which ever colour you want. With
colour swatches, this is pretty much similar to what the
colours are meant to offer you but they allow you to
create your own colours.
