This document discusses endemic species, migratory birds, and forest conservation efforts in India. It begins by explaining that endemic species are native to particular regions. Examples of endemic species in India include the lion-tailed macaque in Western Ghats and the nilgiri langur in the Nilgiri hills. The document also discusses Project Tiger, launched in 1973 to help conserve the endangered tiger population in India. Finally, it provides examples of migratory bird species like the arctic tern and siberian cranes, and explains that animals migrate for reasons like food, shelter, breeding, and weather changes.

Every country has some part of its land under
forests. These forests are home for around

poaching them either for their skin, claws or
other body parts.

of all endangered species. Red Data
Book provides information about
population status of endangered
species.
