We have developed unique and proprietary technology for providing web-based decision support tools on the Esri platform. Our custom JavaScript and parcel tagging tool enable us to create online portals where users can access the data and modeling that we have assembled, run queries to identify high priority parcels, and generate maps and parcel reports. Importantly, these web-based tools can be used on mobile devices such as a smart phone or tablet, making the assembled spatial information available on-site for project evaluation and development. These web-based tools can be kept password protected or made available to the public. ย
Los Angeles has approximately 900 linear miles of alleys
many of these alleys have been neglected and ignored, attracting illegal dumping, blight and crime
South Los Angeles has highest concentration of these alleys, about 300 miles
this is equivalent to 252 acres of alleys, compare this to 164 acres of parks
Untapped potential
Key point: Our work aligns with our science and planning
Our LA Green Alleys align with issues like heat islands
Our design matches our ambition, such as light colored paving to address heat islands and dry wells to get aquifer recharge
Water from the catch basin goes in to the center well first 30โ deep. As is rises it goes into the pipes and overflows into the dry wells that are each 60โ deep. Green pipe is dumping in. This pipe allows a place for sediment so the dry wells are just getting clean overflow. 60โ = 30โ open and the rest gravel.
Monitoring well is 4โ wide and 130โ deep. CWH.
