sacrifice, dedication and respect for authority.". Statistically speaking, the average African–
American male going to college makes up just 5.5% of the overall college students. However, a
young man by the name of Titus McFarland has found a dream of his, latched onto it and found it
led him to prosper in college while doing the sport he loves. Finding a balance in the specifics of

Titus was initially born as a Chicago resident along with his parents and twin brother. Years to come
after the twins were born, their parents decided that their living environment was not as upright as

dark and into the light. So that is exactly what they did. Around the year when Titus was 5, his
family found themselves packing up their Chicago home and moving to Ohio. The family, however,
did not stay in Ohio for long. They found themselves moving back and forth from Ohio to Chicago,
consistently visiting their original home. Both the children and parents longing to come back
Chicago. In the twin's senior year of high school, the parents believed it would be best for the family
to return to high school. Titus started playing football however in the 6th grade. He found that the

socially unequal because of many white Southerners. To conquer this injustice, black economical
leaders, Booker T. Washington and WEB Du Bois, rose to acquire what rightfully was theirs, civil
rights and education. They both had the same goal in mind, to help the African American
community thrive and grow; however, they disagreed as to how they would attain their goals.
Despite having their own opinions on achieving their goal, they had many similarities. Du Bois and
Washington communicated regularly to design legal strategies to fight injustice. They also arranged
academic and professional conferences, authored essays in the same books, and had Du Bois head
the National Negro Business League that the National Afro–American Council. Booker T.
Washington and WEB Du Bois unremittingly articulated their opinions and stood for what they
believed was right. Both men shared a few commonalities in ways such as how they were both
highly educated and expressed strong opposition against segregation. Washington's Up from
Slavery, and Du Bois's The Souls of Black Folk outline each of their views on segregation, and what
can be done to end it. Education was a priority to help the community develop. Washington believed
that they should be taught labor work, he says, "Cast it down in agriculture, in mechanics, in

year–old young woman. I feel that I would be moving forward in life by fighting back the

Christianity and psychology have always seemed to have nothing in common with one another; even
to the point that people think they are completely separate and hostile entities. I believe that they can
be used to bolster one another and can be used together to edify the body of believers. Pastors and
other spiritual leaders use psychology every day when counseling the body of believers. This is a
normal occurrence and should be supported by the psychological and Christian communities.

In the early church, Paul urged the new Christian's to love one another, to support each other, and to

reflected upon his thoughts and actions. Joyce portrays the growth of Stephen's consciousness
through the gradual evolution of his thought process. This evolution can be understood by analyzing

The world as we know it, is changing everyday at any given moment. This could be economies,
cultures, religions, environments, etc. Yet, there is one term that has become greatly more popular in
our generation. This would be globalization. Globalization is discussed about by many people even
myself included, but do we really know what it further entails? Globalization has allowed many
countries to come together and succeed in more efficient markets, wealth equality, and new
solutions for all that are involved. Furthermore, we must analyze globalization, look at different
arguments for and against it, and discover what purpose it's trying accomplish across the world.

They believe that the idea of creating a society that is closer to the model of liberal politics will
produce a better running country. I would have to disagree with that statement because I see many
problems associating with an all liberal society. The main problem being that power lies within the
individuals, not the government. I think the government should always have more authority over the
people to keep the country in order. The government has more experience and should do whats best
for the country in the first place, so all individuals can be satisfied. The reason why we have
governments in the first place is to run countries and make sure they are prospering. Furthermore, I
do like the ideas that they present and I think it has great intent towards globalization. Now looking
into Sen's work, we see a little different view point on what she thinks of globalization. She truly
does believe that globalization has a lot to offer, but it also comes along with many problems. The
two main problems that she highlights in her writings are ethical and human concerns. Basically, she
is concerned on the fact that in globalization, we are taught that people are being treated equally and
fairly in all aspects. Yet, her findings suggest that many individuals are still being mistreated and not
fully accounted for in the "equal distribution" part. She also brings up another idea about if the poor
is actually getting the same shared benefits
