A study on the
Organizational Techniques
for Enhancing Quality in
Higher Education
Prof Nisha Joseph Cyriac
 1) To understand the importance of quality
in sustaining educational objectives.
 2) To ascertain the factors affecting quality in
educational institution.
 3) To suggest different remedial measures to
enhance quality in higher educational
institution.
 A comprehensive literature review and a
structured evaluation of current knowledge
on topics related directly and indirectly to
“quality education in Higher Educational
Institution”.
 The evaluation and interpretation of
relevant research results represent the
author's own perception and experiences,
and should therefore be viewed with
caution. It is suggested that the content of
this paper is subject to the usual bias and
singular perspective generally attributable to
“viewpoint” articles
 Constantly improve processes & function as
a knowledge repository on various aspects
such as quality standards, best practices etc.
 . Institute training & management role
in building competitive process and facilitate
internalization of quality circles.
 Institute leadership & development and
application of quality
benchmarks/parameters for the various
academic and administrative activities of the
institution.
 Avoid obsession with goals and slogans.
 Eliminate numerical quotas.
 Remove barriers to pride of workmanship.
.
 Organization-wide involvement.
 Define management's responsibilities to
make it happen & providing intellectual
backing for regulations which will govern
educational reforms and at the same time
foster innovation in Higher Education
 . Drive out fear
 Break down barriers & Promote co-operation
and networking among various activities in
the institution.
 Quality in any organization can be created
and managed.
The different stakeholders like students,
management , teachers, administrators,
employers, government have objectives of
getting value for money, excellence, fitness
for purpose etc. Thus quality relationship in
an organization is of utmost importance to
accomplish this.
