practiced medicine in the military. After returning to the United States from a deployment in
Germany, the Witherspoon family planted their roots in Nashville, Tennessee. Witherspoon is one of

Additionally, she starred in Wild, which showed a different side of her acting characters. In this
particular film, Witherspoon played a frazzled young women searching to recover from a life full of
tragedy during a 1,100 mile hike on the Pacific Crest Trail. She was nominated for an Academy
Award, Golden Globe, and other awards for her role in this film. Another movie that gave
Witherspoon a lot of attention was the 2005 production of Walk the Line, where she played June
Carter. In this movie, both her acting and singing skills were displayed. She won an Academy
Award, Golden Globe, BAFTAAward, Austin Film Critics Association Award, and many more for
this role. One of the comedy movies she participated in was the 2012 This Means War, when she
played a woman who gained the attention of two men in the CIA. Her humorous roles extended in
the film Four Christmases, where she starred with Vince Vaughn as a young couple trying to make
all of their families happy during the holiday season. Currently, she is currently appearing in the

Reese Witherspoon's Successful Career
She portrayed Elle Woods but she is more than that. Actress Reese Witherspoon has accumulated
various successes and accomplishments in her career. But most of it would not be possible if she did
not get her higher education. Reese Witherspoons, according to the Brit, has the brains to match the
beauty. She previously studied English Literature at Stanford University but went on leave since
1996. Be that as it may, Reese Witherspoon's net worth rose to $80 million. The actress who was
born in 1976 was born in Louisiana and raised in Tennessee. She started as a child actress and made
her professional debut in 1991's "The Man In The Moon." She had a knack for acting even as a child

Analyzing The Movie 'American Psycho'
After watching Benjamin Walker on Stephen Colbert talk about the new musical he is staring in,
American Psycho, I knew I had to look up this story. This is a storyline that started as a book, then
produced into a movie, and is now musical. Knowing that I would not be able to get out to New
York City to see this production I went straight to the video store to rent the movie version (because
who would read a book when you can watch a movie). From the title itself I should have guessed
that it wasn't going to be a warm and fuzzy movie, even if it has Christian Bale and Reese
Witherspoon in it. From the opening scene I knew I was right. This first shot of Christian Bale will
stick with me for way to long. This scene starts with a tracking shot ... Show more content on

The Importance Of Being Ernest
The Importance of Being Earnest was written by Oscar Wilde, directed by Oliver Parker and
produced by Barnaby Thompson, David Brown and Leri Fruchtman. The movie stars some of
today's most famous movie stars and some unknown. Colin Firth plays the role of John (Jack)
Worthing, he plays it well and was fit for the character, although the book makes him seem younger.
He was also seen in the King's Speech and Kingsman: The Secret Service. Rupert Everett plays
Algernon (Algy) Moncrieff. The way the book portrays him, he seems obese and not as skinny as
Rupert. He was also in Shrek 2 and Shrek the Third. Reese Witherspoon plays Cecily Cardew and
she is perfect for the role for what the book portrays Cecily to look and act like. Reese was also seen
in Legally Blonde 1 and 2 and This Means War. Frances O'Connor plays the role of Gwendolen
Fairfax, she got the role perfectly as well. She was also seen in The Conjuring 2 and The Hunter.
In the movie there were two young men, Algernon Moncrieff and John (Jack) Worthing were
seeking excitement and love in their life. In order to get this they bent the truth quite a bit. They both
created another person in order to be able to leave their responsibilities in society ... Show more

In the movie there was also new events such as Ms Prism fainting. The new events made the story
more interesting and also added length to the film. If the movie was only the events of the book it
would have been much shorter than the movie. Another major change in the movie was the whole
beginning of the story happened in Algernon's house in the book but in the movie it happened in a
number of locations. Another major change of the film was that Algernon is the elder brother in the
movie while in the book he's the younger brother. Through the whole movie he acts like the younger
brother therefore it only made sense for him to be the elder

Movie Analysis : Going Audience
Whenever any film is released to the mainstream American movie going audience, it becomes
subject to the wrath or appraise of movie critics. Audiences not set on whether or not they intend to
see a particular film usually turn to these critics for their professional opinions and judge whether or
not the movie will be worth the time and money. When Election hit the silver screen in 1999, it was
met with critical acclaim and well–received by audiences. Since its premier, the film was gained a
legacy as one of TIME's Top 50 Films about High School and was even listed as President Obama's
favorite political film. At its release, three critics, Roger Ebert, David Butterworth, and James
Berardinelli, shelled out their varying opinions on the many factors of the film, such as
characterization and script. Although none had any scathing comments for the film, they did all
reach different opinions regarding the overall quality and potential of the film, and Roger Ebert's
review, due in part to his relatability and detailed understanding, stands above the writings of
Butterworth and Berardinelli. The late Roger Ebert is perhaps the most well–regarded and
influential film critic of the modern age. Ebert achieved notoriety in the world of film criticism with
his review of George Romero's Night of the Living Dead. The review was picked up by Reader's
Digest, and what followed Ebert was a substantial career in film criticism, culminating in a star on
the Hollywood Walk of Fame, successful

strike, Yuri looked for an opening, trying to even her odds. Sabra used her vines once again, aiming
them in Yuri's direction. The vines entangled around Yuri's legs, dropping her to the ground.
Malessica's body remained coated with concrete, enlarging her fist on the downed opponent. Yuri
rolled out of the way, creating a blade to cut the vines off of her legs. Gaining some distance, she
created an assault rifle, aiming at Malessica. Firing away at her, Malessica formed another scutum

Legally Blonde Film Analysis
"I don't need back–ups. I'm going to Harvard." With this line Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon) begin
begins her journey to Harvard law in the iconic movie Legally Blonde. This movie follows Elle's
progression from sorority girl to Harvard law graduate. After her future is shaken by an unexpected
breakup she decides the best way to get her love back is to head to Harvard after him. However,
through some unexpected turns, hard work, and hard lessons, she comes out stronger and more
accomplished that she could have ever expected. This fun loving movie has many things to offer
including a title that clues the audience in on the theme, a well picked lead actress, and a good
message. Elle believes her perfect life is about to get even better when her boyfriend hints that there
will be changes in their future and she assumes he's about to propose. However, she is shaken when
her boyfriend breaks up with her to find a girl who will be a better fit for his political aspirations.
Instead of wallowing in sorrow, Elle decides she can win him back if she can only show him her
serious side by chasing after him to Harvard law. Her confidence is weakened however, as she
encounters difficult professors and snobby students. Nevertheless, she persisted in her studies and
because of this she is given an exclusive internship. This leads her to take on challenges she never
imagined she could and demonstrates the knowledge she had all along. Right off the bat moviegoers

Artificial Intelligence In Frankenstein
Artificial intelligence is undoubtedly a widely debated topic in today's society. Many groups suggest
that it could soon enslave humanity, while others proposing that it's harmless and only here to make
our lives better. Mary Shelley's 1818 Gothic text, Frankenstein, recounts the story of an ambitious,
young scientist, Victor Frankenstein, who is intrigued by alchemy and natural philosophy. Victor
becomes interested with these subjects after beginning at Ingolstadt and eventually executes
experiments that bring the dead back to life. He creates a creature who is outcast by society, which
provokes it to vow revenge on its creator. The creature sequentially kills everybody that Victor loves
and ruins his life (Shelley). Frankenstein has the indisputable theme of creating artificial intelligence
that turns bad, much like James Cameron's 1984 film, The Terminator. In Cameron's film, humanity
creates an artificially intelligent program known as Skynet, which becomes completely cognizant
and overthrows the world by initiating a nuclear holocaust. In the aftermath, a group of survivors
create a resistance that attempts to destroy the program; however, they are met with Skynet's cyborg
army. Skynet sends a terminator, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, back in time to destroy Sarah
Connor before her son, the leader of the resistance, is born. Kyle Reese is then sent after the
terminator and, in conclusion, saves Sarah and destroys the terminator (Terminator). This movie and
text are closely related in the sense that a character from either the book or motion picture relate to a
character in the alternative. Nick Bostrom, a philosopher and the University of Oxford, states,
"...superintelligence could emerge, and while it could be great [...] it could also decide it doesn't
need humans around," (qtd. in Ford). This philosopher, like many other technology critics, can see
the effects that artificial intelligence may have on our future, yet there is always the select group of
people who cannot foresee the consequences of their actions. For example, Victor Frankenstein is
introduced to science at a young age and when he went to college at Ingolstadt he met Professor
Waldman, whom shared a similar scientific interest.

Cheryl's Relationship With Mother Bobbi
Wild has been one of the best books I've read in a long time. While I honestly don't get to read as
much as I would like, I am very grateful that we were assigned this reading for the semester. Once
we were assigned the reading, I decided to watch the film on HBO. I really enjoyed the film and
thought that the book would be even better, I was not let down. The film did the book justice in my
opinion. There were several things left out in the film, however I believe that all of the important
and most valuable lessons were featured. One of my favorite parts of the book was the relationship
that Cheryl had with her mother Bobbi. They were extremely close to one another. Even though
Cheryl may not have appreciated everything that her mother had done for her or lack thereof, she
eventually realized that her mother one was one of the greatest people she had ever known. I believe
the film captures their relationship very well and we were able to understand how much of a loss it
was for Cheryl to lose her mother at such a young age. Once her mother passed, it was hard for
Cheryl to accept love from anyone else, including her husband Paul which ultimately led to them
divorcing due to her infidelities. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Of course the book was more detailed in some instances more than others. For example Cheryl's
encounter with Frank in the book when she runs into him there were two other individuals
mentioned. The film only mentions Frank, but does elaborate on what Frank does in the vehicle and
how he makes her feel uncomfortable. Cheryl senses his fear and lies; saying that she is meeting up
with her husband on the trail later. Frank takes Cheryl home with him to get a hot meal from his
wife Annette, shower and sleep for the night. I really enjoyed the little bond that she and Frank
shared in the morning when he was taking her back to the

Representative Heuristic And Representative Bias Definition
Representativeness Bias or Representativeness Heuristic is a shortcut in trying to associate present
people or events to past experience. It is the probability that event A is connected to event B because
they share common physical characteristics. We observe a person or object and if it shares similar
qualities from another object we are familiar with, then we assume that the object is a part of that
category. I used Legally Blonde because it is a great example of how Elle (Reese Witherspoon) was
underestimated. Elle is a blonde sorority girl, from California, and has a lot of money. She always
has the best clothes, friends, and dates. Based upon, her physical attributes, people categorize her as
being unintelligent, and unable to complete

The Movie ' Pleasantville '
The film Pleasantville shows the changes in American society over the past 50 years by placing two
teenagers into the Pleasantville show, which was from the 50's. The movie depicts how there is no
longer the "American Dream" and no longer a perfect way of life and the changes the world has
made. The world that the teenagers come from is filled with sex, drugs, money, and is very different
from the way the world was in which the Pleasantville Show took place in. Morals and values have
changed in the people and in society that the teenagers came from and shows it would be impossible
to return back to the kind of life style the world had in the 50's.

David and Jennifer are zapped into the 50's Pleasantville show and become the son and daughter.
While in the Pleasantville show, David and Jennifer cause some trouble in the town and begin to
change the views of the other students as well as their own. David and Jennifer show other students
that they can ask questions and that they can make decisions on their own. You are able to see how
people and environment are influenced by David and Jennifer by how color is added to people and
things around them. Some embrace the changes as others fight against any change. As more people
become influenced by David and Jennifer's ideas the more color is added to the show, which is
depicting how certain changes can have a ripple effect. As more people accepted the changes, the
more color was added to the show and the changes became their new normal and life wasn't so
defined as it had been and there were a lot more choices and acceptable scenarios of life.
In the world we live in today we understand that experiencing different things is OK. The black and
white in the film is represented by a more traditionalist value which is how most of the world was. It
was when people's personalities were kept hidden from the rest of the world and even family
members. Later in the Pleasantville show, some characters were starting to change color

Informative Essay On Exotic Animals
Most households own a dog or a cat, and perhaps some reptiles or a fish. For some people, however,
they keep exotic animals as pets. When you say exotic, it means pigs, tigers, snakes, chimpanzees,
and even a raccoon. Their owners are not ordinary people either, because these animals are kept by
some of the Hollywood's renowned celebrities.
Among these celebrities who owned exotic pets are the following:
* Kristen Stewart. The star of the Twilight series is said to own four wolf–hybrids named Jack, Lily,
Tommy, and Lola. According to Stewart, she treats them as "more like companions" and that she
absolutely "love them."
* Tori Spelling. An avid animal lover, Spelling recently included a mini–pig named Nutmeg as a

Stereotypes In The Film Legally Blonde: Elle Woods
Legally Blonde "Legally Blonde" is a 2001 comedy film starring Reese Witherspoon as Elle Woods.
The film starts with Elle being portrayed as the cliché, spoiled, and blonde rich–girl living a
privileged life in a mansion in Bel–Air, California. Although Elle may seem like the stereotypical
blonde–girl, her background includes a fashion major, a 4.0 GPA, and the president of her sorority.
Elle's life gets thrown a curveball after being dumped by her boyfriend Warner, played by Matthew

The opening of the film leaves viewers thinking Elle will be the "dumb–blonde" so common in the
media, only to be quickly shown as the opposite after shutting down a sales clerk who tries to
overprice a dress. Her quick and out–of–the–box thinking proves this otherwise, and helps convey
the issue that is very much a problems today in America's society. In the real world, blondes are
often seen as being stupid and dumb, and social media is filled with "dumb blonde jokes." This film
challenges that, and with a primarily teenage–girl audience, the uplifting message is being in the
right direction. Feminism is a big controversy being dealt with today, and despite this film being 15
years old, the issue is touched upon in the perfect way. Elle can be seen as being in leadership roles,
such as during the trial scene, and being better than the men. She even beats out Professor Callahan
in a huge murder trial. Callahan is one of the best defence attorneys in the state and a frilly, law
student is able to beat him out. This film helps to empower girls and women alike to stand up for
themselves an to not care about what any guy thinks of

society and popular culture will be identified, discussed and analyzed in the paper.
At the beginning of the scene reflects that of the future in Los Angeles where a great deal of
technology which includes presence and ruling of the world, there is a huge technological influence
to society and popular culture, The Terminator can be categorized as a science fiction, horror as well
as an action filled thriller movie. The movie was produced in 1984 during which it gained immense
success. An incredible shift of the film from the future to the present, that is Los Angeles in 1984,
displays the possibility of the war that has persisted for long, being completed at any moment
regardless of the weapons available.

My favourite scene with the 2 of them was near the end when there in concert singing "Ring of
Fire". It 's one of my favourite Johnny Cash songs and these 2 managed to convince me with this
performance that they were actually John and June. Without these 2 actors I don 't think this movie
would have been as remarkable as they managed to make it.
One film that was very close to this one was last years highly famous, "Ray". The biography of
blind musician ray Charles. Both are high profile motion pictures about major recording stars who
recently died (Cash passed away in 2003, four months after the death of his wife, June Carter). The
music the 2 of them play is different, but there are very similar plot fundamentals, among which are
drug use. "Walk the Line" I think is a better film. It 's put together with more style, and it never
seems to get boring, unlike "Ray" which near the end seems to drag on for a bit. "Ray" had much
more fantasy as opposed to "Walk the Line" which was all completely based on Cash 's own words.
This movie also has a powerful plotline that "Ray" didn 't, a love story! To me, that 's what made
this film much better than "Ray".
Overall I really enjoyed this movie; the only thing I want to complain about is the lack of Bob
Dylan. It is a known fact that Dylan single–handedly revived Cash 's career, yet they only mention

Gender Roles In Antigone
You may be wondering, what a fictional Greek character and Legally Blonde have in common. If
you think about it that way, not a lot of ideas come to mind. However, when you look closer, you
can see that both Antigone and Reese Witherspoon, the actress who plays Legally Blonde, share
many common traits as well as their personalities. In the Greek play Antigone, by Sophocles, the
female protagonist Antigone, defies society's expectations of women and follows what she believes
to be right, not in the least bit submissive/passive way. The injustice women still face today in our
modern society, predominantly in the film industry, is demonstrated by Reese Witherspoon's
powerful speech at the Glamour Women of the Year Conference 2015, analyzed and ... Show more

She was recently invited to give a speech at the Glamour Women of the Year conference in
November. She started off with a few anecdotes about her life growing up as a girl and then her
adventure into the entertainment industry. "See, I just kind of started wondering lately why female
ambition is a trait that people are so afraid of. Why do people have prejudiced opinions about
women who accomplish things?" (Moeslein). In this quote, Moeslein quotes from Witherspoon's
speech when she explains how the lack of female representation has been occurring for too long and
she wants to break the barrier of female subordination and the fear of a woman being too

Artificial Intelligence Argument Essay
Artificial Intelligence is undoubtedly a hotly debated topic in today's society, with many concerned
that it will soon enslave humanity and others saying that it's harmless and only here to help us.
Many sci–fi movies, such as the infamous 1984 film produced by James Cameron, The Terminator,
portray robots as becoming knowledgeable and taking over the world. Humanity creates an
artificially intelligent program known as Skynet, which becomes completely cognizant and
overthrows the world by initiating a nuclear holocaust. In the aftermath, a group of survivors creates
a resistance that attempts to destroy the program, however they are met with the challenge of
defeating Skynet's cyborg army. Skynet sends a terminator, played by Arnold ... Show more content

Nick Bostrom, a philosopher and the University of Oxford, states that, "...superintelligence could
emerge, and while it could be great [...] it could also decide it doesn't need humans around" (Ford).
This philosopher, like many other technology critics, can see the effects that artificial intelligence
may have on our future, however there is always the select group of people who cannot foresee the
consequences of their actions. For example, Victor Frankenstein was introduced to science at a
young age and when he went to college at Ingolstadt he met Professor Waldman shared a similar
scientific interest. Waldman proclaimed,"If your wish is to become really a man of science [...] I
should advise you to apply to every branch of natural philosophy..." much like how Waldman
himself devotes his life to all branches of science (Shelley 29). However, this sparked Victor's
interested and caused him to not immediately realize the ramifications of his attempts to bring the
dead back to life, which lead to the death of Victor's loved ones and the destruction of his world. The
entire human race in The Terminator closely resembles Victor Frankenstein considering that humans
create the superintelligent program, Skynet, which is supposed solely defend the nation's cyber
network, however it ends up taking over the world. This is extremely similar to Victor's situation, in
which both he and humanity neglect

Important Concepts on Film Edition
Section 1F 1. Define parallel editing, montage sequence, and master shot, using Nichols. Give an
example of parallel editing that you notice in The Terminator. a. Parallel editing is method of editing
scenes that shows two separate incidents happening at once. In The Terminator, this editing method
was used when, after calling Sarah Conner pretending to be her mom, the terminator comes to the
hotel that she and Kyle were staying at. During this scene, the scene where Sarah Conner and Kyle
are talking and preparing to leave and the scene where the terminator is approaching the hotel
crosscuts. Thus, the audience knows that the danger is approaching. b. Montage sequence is group
of shots that marks the change in time or "the unfolding of a process." (Nichols, 2010) c. Master
shot is a shot that provides an overview of the scene showing all the characters' movement and
gestures. It is different from establishing shot in that establishing shot often puts a bigger action into
play. In The Terminator, master shot is applied when Kyle, in the future world, enters the
underground hut where human beings stay, master shot is used to show the movement and gestures
of Kyle and all the other soldiers. 2. Briefly summarize Pudovkin's essay on editing. What does he
see as the function of editing in relation to narrative? What is his argument concerning "editing as an
instrument of impression"? a. Pudovkin, through his essay, states that combination of different shots

Ariana Grande's Song Dangerous Woman
Equality is lacking
Throughout history, women have always been seen as a less important piece in the role of politics,
economy and even in society. Many times the woman is seeing as not capable enough human beings
to do certain jobs, and while men were out studying or working, women were just useful to raise
children and being killed at the age of 45 because she had already given birth, cleaning or just to
look beautiful.
Women are often sexualized and pictured as an object for men. Examples of this can be seen in our
daily lives with such frequency, that it doesn't seem wrong anymore. One example of this is the song
Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke where women are represented as an animal, a thing without feelings.
"Ok, he was close,

As in the song Dangerous Woman by Ariana Grande, in which it is understood that she is telling a
man that she is looking for something.
According to Sheryl Sandberg at a TED conference entitled "Why do we have so few female
leaders?" As for the professions, in one way or another the woman is rarely taken into account, for
example: since 2002 of 190 heads and heads of state only 9 are women. And 13% of the world's
parliamentary staff are women.
Since this is happening, a lot of woman are creating campaigns supporting gender equality and the
women empowerment.
Like Reese Witherspoon, when in 2015, she won an award in the "Woman of the Year Awards" for
her work at creating stronger women roles in her movies.
She says that the word "ambition" is often seeing as a dirty word for men when it comes from a
woman's mouth. Women should speak for themselves and fight for their dreams despite what others
might think. For example, when she started her own production company, Pacific Standard Films,
many tried to stop her and underestimate her, nevertheless, that encouraged her and all the scripts
they published had very powerful women, and all of them won Academy

A Moral Examination of Roger Kumble's "Cruel Intentions"...
I can't remember ever seeing a film with more moral problems and issues than Roger Kumbles
Cruel Intentions. Although the film is intended to be a dark comedy and a teenage version of
Dangerous Liaisons, Cruel Intentions is a mature and often shocking look at a potential realistic
situation played up as a fantasy tale that offers a sickening example of the moral decay present in
our society. Morals seem to change from generation to generation, and as time goes on it seems that
at one time what was disgusting and immoral in our society is now second nature and pure
entertainment for today's generation. An example of this might be to take the idea of a show
consisting of uncensored sexual intercourse, and having it actually become a feasible ... Show more

The opening scene sets the immoral tone for the entire movie when Sebastian humiliates his
therapist's daughter with nude pictures of her posted on the Internet (his reasoning: she was charging
too much). He then admits that he is tired of sleeping with these "insipid debutantes" and wants a
challenge worthy of his talents. At the same time Kathryn is upset that her ex–boyfriend dumped her
for a ditzy klutz named Cecile (Selma Blair), and wants Sebastian to "pop her cherry," so to speak,
to humiliate the boyfriend. As it turns out, this is nothing new for Sebastian, who has a reputation as
a master of deflowering virgins. He agrees and of course succeeds but he has more challenging goals
in mind. While turning through 17 Magazine one day, Sebastian came across the young Annette
Hargrove (Reese Witherspoon), who happens to be the first character the audience meets with

the wonders it would do for his reputation. The only reason that this

The Film Techniques Used By Cameron
Being a science fiction fan during his childhood, he worked his way in producing several highly
acclaimed science fiction movies such as Avatar, Aliens, and the Terminator. Born on August 16,
1954, in Ontario Canada and later moved to California to finish his college at California State
University. In order to pursue his dreams in cinematography, he worked as a truck driver and would
work on screenplays. Then his career began from an art director in Battle beyond the Stars (1980) to
directing various films. Now, he is an Oscar–winning director whose films Titanic (1997) and Avatar
(2009) remains the top grossing films of all time. He has won various awards from different sides of
the world, Norway, France, and the United Kingdom. Mise–en–scenes were well incorporated in
each of James Cameron's movies especially for science fiction movies that used elegantly crafted
visuals.
This paper will focus on the film techniques used by Cameron in his three most known movies,
Titanic (1997), Avatar (2009), and Terminator series. Mise–en–scene according to John Gibbs is
used in film studies in the discussion of visual style. Translated literally it means "To put on stage",
but for the purpose of students, it is defined as the contents of the frame and the way they are
organized (p 5). In addition, a director's style can be identified only through the arrangement and
orchestrations of the film's mise–en–scene (Nelmes, 425).The films Titanic, Avatar, and Terminator

Emily Giffin's Paper Towns
Most people would say they enjoy reading a good book now and then. A good amount of books are
being turned into films or have already been. For example, John Green's novel, Paper Towns, has
just been released as a feature–length film. And you are probably aware of the success of E.L. James
and 50 Shades of Grey. Lately, females have been dominating the literary world. Here are the top
five female authors we think are going to hit it big.
Number One: Emily Giffin.
Emily Giffin is a talented novelist with several books categorized as "Chick Lit." Her best–known
novel is Something Borrowed, which was adapted into a movie released in 2011 under the same
name. I saw the movie before I read the book, and let me tell you, the saying, "The book is ... Show

If you enjoy reading crime and mystery novels, you will love Gillian Flynn. She is known for her
best–selling book, Gone Girl, which recently graced the silver screen and even garnered a few Oscar
nominations. The movie is amazing, but it pales in comparison to the book, which is a real pager
turner. She has also written Sharp Objects and Dark Places, both of which are becoming adapted to
movies as well.
Number Three: Alice Clayton.
Alice Clayton is an author who is known for the Cocktail series. Her books are also categorized
under "Chick Lit." The Cocktail series consists of five books about a young group of girlfriends
going through life and trying to find Mr. Right along the way. Clayton's writing is quirky and honest,
while also managing to come off as genuine. These aren't your typical cheesy romance novels. This
series is smart, witty and is the perfect fun read for a twenty–something woman.
Number Four: Mara Leveritt.
Mara Leveritt is an Arkansas–based reporter best known as the author of Devil's Knot: The True
Story of the West Memphis Three. This crime novel is nonfiction and based on the infamous West
Memphis Three, Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jesse Misskelly. The West Memphis Three
were convicted of murder in Arkansas and subsequently set free after eighteen years. The film
adaptation was released in 2013 and stars Reese Witherspoon and Colin

Change In Pleasantville
How do people react when they sense change?
When people sense change, the most immediate emotion they feel is fright. They do not understand
the reason for the change, and most times they question whether it helps their society. In the movie
Pleasantville, George Parker, Bud and Mary Sue's father, best personifies the fear of change. After
Betty Parker leaves him, he asks Bud whether or not they can change back. This fear of change
governs so many people in their reaction to change. The citizens do not want to change their
lifestyle and react violently. Some, however, ignore the change and pretend that nothing has
changed. When Skip Martin missed shooting the basketball, the coach decided that it was just a
fluke and never mentioned it again. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both leadership styles yield similar results, however they both only work effectively if implemented
in the right way. Tobey was considered a "good kid" most of his life, and led by giving little pushes
to the members of Pleasantville. Take the case of Mr. Johnson, rather than give him the
responsibilities of the diner immediately, he started by pushing him to break his normal routine. Mr.
Johnson did not need to wait for Bud to close the doors with him, but instead could do it completely
himself. He then showed Mr. Johnson art, and inspired him to start creating his own. These small
pushes allowed Mr. Johnson to embrace the change he faced. Reese, however, led from the front and
took charge of change the minute she arrived in Pleasantville. By "pinning" Skip, she caused a
reaction from all of the teenagers from town. She began the change herself and did what she
believed was right to "modernize" the town. Even though both leadership styles are vastly different,
they push the followers to trying new things and not being afraid of the

Marilyn Monroe : The Stereotypes Of Marilyn Cameron Monroe
You may have heard of the famous actress Marilyn Monroe. If so you would know that she was an
actress in the 1950s and 60s and acted in movies such as Men Prefer Blondes and Some Like it Hot.
In most of her movies, she played the smaller parts but even though her characters had little to say
she still put just as much emotion into them as the main characters had. Billy Wilder describes her as
an "an absolute genius as a comic actress". But during the time period of her career, most blonde
women were portrayed as dumb on ditsy. She was fully aware of how most people who didn't know
her, thought of her because in her last interview she exclaims, "Please don't make me a joke". What
are the Stereotypes? The common assumption that all blondes are unintelligent is actually causing
some negative effects. For example, it is affecting blondes confidence and their ability to publicly
speak. In an article by Huffington Post about a Ted Talk by Cameron Russell, it states, "First,
imagine yourself answering [...] a question in front of a live audience and video cameras. That's by
itself nerve–wracking, but on top of that, the threat of knowing that a large portion of that audience
will automatically think "dumb blonde" if you mess up is all the more likely to make you, well,
mess up". This stereotype puts immense pressure on blondes to never mess up even though people
of all hair colors mess up on a daily basis but they don't have to worry about being labeled dumb
every time they do mess up. Another negative of the stereotype is the effect it had on the workplace.
In an experiment done by Ohio State University, it concludes that "employers who believe the
beauty part of the myth" will most likely higher a blonde woman "to work in front–line positions"
where looks and personality are key. Also "employers [who believe] the myth that blondes are
dumb" will higher fewer blondes in a position where 'intelligence is more highly valued than looks".
These beliefs about blondes being dumber than other people are making it harder for blondes to be
confident about themselves and to go for what they want in the workforce. How Pop Culture is

Stereotypes In Movies
Stereotypical Roles of Women in Films
Films reflect and reinforce the dominant ideology of how life should be, and this applies to how
women are shown in films. Although half of the population is female, they are underrepresented in
films. Most leads are men. Along with this issue of underrepresentation is how the women are
shown, cast stereotypically in traditional roles. Some of the most common stereotypes women play
are materialistic, desperate, catty, unintelligent, weak, broken, and so forth. Other than the popular
stereotypes we all see in movies we love, there is another issue with actresses in the media today.
Overweight women are very seldom recognized as a lead role, and when they are, they are usually a

An obvious example would be from Kristen Stewarts character Bella Swan from the vampire trilogy
Twilight. A controlling vampire stalks his girlfriend until she falls in love with him. Bella's low self–
esteem makes it easy for Edward to assert dominance as he isolates her from her family and defends
her from more nefarious vampires. Bella is attracted to his violent nature just like any woman
watching the movie is. Bella is a prime example that portrays women to be weak and insecure
enough to need a man to support them. This stereotype also sets standards that women need a
relationship to be happy or safe. This weak stereotype has been a very popular role for most women
because all sappy "chick flicks" incorporate an extremely suave man to save the day and eventually
reveal themselves as supernatural creatures...? That seems to be the most popular dream for most
girls watching. Nevertheless, Bella Swan is only one of millions of roles that support the idea that
women are usually too emotionally unstable to be

The Terminator By James Cameron
The Terminator was written by James Cameron and came out in 1984.1 It tells of a post–apocalyptic
world dominated by a war between humans and artificially intelligent robots, called terminators. The
movie was produced at the beginning of the Digital Age, and computer development and use was
beginning to increase. Computer companies like Apple and Microsoft had recently been founded
and some of the first personal computers were being created. "Many wondered if society was
becoming too dependent of technology". In addition to computers, all forms of technology were
rapidly improving during this time period. The Terminator predicts that the relationship between
man and computer turns bad when the computer is given too much power. Ultimately, mankind
creates its own downfall. Furthermore, the terminator is seen as superior to the human characters in
the movie. The Terminator has no feelings of pain, anger, remorse, or any other kind of emotions. It
seems to be a flawless killer, unmatched by its weak creators. The Terminator embodies people's
fears of the advancement of technology and its impact on society.
The Terminator takes place over the course of a week in the 1980s in an unknown town. The movie
is about a robot (a "terminator") that goes back in time to kill a woman named Sarah Connor and a
man named Kyle Reese who tries to save her. The terminator begins to systematically kill women
named Sarah Connor in the city the movie takes place in. The terminator finds the right

implements allusions, intertextual references through literature and art work and cinematic
techniques to convey themes of revolution, standing up for one's belief and liberation.
In 'Pleaseantville' the theme of standing up for one's belief is well portrayed with multiple references
to 'Catcher in the Rye', by J.D. Salinger and cinematic devices. The intertextual connection between

The concept of geography and language is also displayed several times throughout this movie. At
the beginning, Melanie and Andrew think that they have a lot in common, but as Melanie continues
her stay in her hometown, she finds that they have more differences than she originally thought. The
concept of geography and language is continuously displayed in the way that Andrew interacts with
his friends and family and the way that Melanie interacts with her friends and family. The South has
been portrayed for years and years as having southern hospitality. The people who live in the South
have always had the stereotype of being warm, sweet, and welcoming to their visitors and those
around them. When Andrew and his mother first meet Melanie's parents, Melanie's parents welcome
Andrew and his mother with a warm hug and a loving attitude, which makes Andrew's mother
extremely uncomfortable because, during this time especially, people in the North weren't portrayed
as being as up close and personal as those in the South. Another more obvious difference between
Melanie and Andrew regarding geography and language is their basic lifestyle views and beliefs.
Andrew grew up in New York City with his mother who is highly involved in the Democratic Party,
while Melanie grew up in the South where, during this time, the majority of the southern region had

  • 13. Analyzing The Movie 'American Psycho' After watching Benjamin Walker on Stephen Colbert talk about the new musical he is staring in, American Psycho, I knew I had to look up this story. This is a storyline that started as a book, then produced into a movie, and is now musical. Knowing that I would not be able to get out to New York City to see this production I went straight to the video store to rent the movie version (because who would read a book when you can watch a movie). From the title itself I should have guessed that it wasn't going to be a warm and fuzzy movie, even if it has Christian Bale and Reese Witherspoon in it. From the opening scene I knew I was right. This first shot of Christian Bale will stick with me for way to long. This scene starts with a tracking shot ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The movie stars some of today's most famous movie stars and some unknown. Colin Firth plays the role of John (Jack) Worthing, he plays it well and was fit for the character, although the book makes him seem younger. He was also seen in the King's Speech and Kingsman: The Secret Service. Rupert Everett plays Algernon (Algy) Moncrieff. The way the book portrays him, he seems obese and not as skinny as Rupert. He was also in Shrek 2 and Shrek the Third. Reese Witherspoon plays Cecily Cardew and she is perfect for the role for what the book portrays Cecily to look and act like. Reese was also seen in Legally Blonde 1 and 2 and This Means War. Frances O'Connor plays the role of Gwendolen Fairfax, she got the role perfectly as well. She was also seen in The Conjuring 2 and The Hunter. In the movie there were two young men, Algernon Moncrieff and John (Jack) Worthing were seeking excitement and love in their life. • 25. Movie Analysis : Going Audience Whenever any film is released to the mainstream American movie going audience, it becomes subject to the wrath or appraise of movie critics. Audiences not set on whether or not they intend to see a particular film usually turn to these critics for their professional opinions and judge whether or not the movie will be worth the time and money. When Election hit the silver screen in 1999, it was met with critical acclaim and well–received by audiences. Since its premier, the film was gained a legacy as one of TIME's Top 50 Films about High School and was even listed as President Obama's favorite political film. At its release, three critics, Roger Ebert, David Butterworth, and James Berardinelli, shelled out their varying opinions on the many factors of the film, such as characterization and script. Although none had any scathing comments for the film, they did all reach different opinions regarding the overall quality and potential of the film, and Roger Ebert's review, due in part to his relatability and detailed understanding, stands above the writings of Butterworth and Berardinelli. The late Roger Ebert is perhaps the most well–regarded and influential film critic of the modern age. Ebert achieved notoriety in the world of film criticism with his review of George Romero's Night of the Living Dead. The review was picked up by Reader's Digest, and what followed Ebert was a substantial career in film criticism, culminating in a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, successful ... Malessica's body remained coated with concrete, enlarging her fist on the downed opponent. Yuri rolled out of the way, creating a blade to cut the vines off of her legs. Gaining some distance, she created an assault rifle, aiming at Malessica. Firing away at her, Malessica formed another scutum style shield. • 37. Artificial Intelligence In Frankenstein Artificial intelligence is undoubtedly a widely debated topic in today's society. Many groups suggest that it could soon enslave humanity, while others proposing that it's harmless and only here to make our lives better. Mary Shelley's 1818 Gothic text, Frankenstein, recounts the story of an ambitious, young scientist, Victor Frankenstein, who is intrigued by alchemy and natural philosophy. Victor becomes interested with these subjects after beginning at Ingolstadt and eventually executes experiments that bring the dead back to life. He creates a creature who is outcast by society, which provokes it to vow revenge on its creator. The creature sequentially kills everybody that Victor loves and ruins his life (Shelley). Frankenstein has the indisputable theme of creating artificial intelligence that turns bad, much like James Cameron's 1984 film, The Terminator. In Cameron's film, humanity creates an artificially intelligent program known as Skynet, which becomes completely cognizant and overthrows the world by initiating a nuclear holocaust. In the aftermath, a group of survivors create a resistance that attempts to destroy the program; however, they are met with Skynet's cyborg army. Skynet sends a terminator, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, back in time to destroy Sarah Connor before her son, the leader of the resistance, is born. Kyle Reese is then sent after the terminator and, in conclusion, saves Sarah and destroys the terminator (Terminator). This movie and text are closely related in the sense that a character from either the book or motion picture relate to a character in the alternative. Nick Bostrom, a philosopher and the University of Oxford, states, "...superintelligence could emerge, and while it could be great [...] it could also decide it doesn't need humans around," (qtd. in Ford). This philosopher, like many other technology critics, can see the effects that artificial intelligence may have on our future, yet there is always the select group of people who cannot foresee the consequences of their actions. For example, Victor Frankenstein is introduced to science at a young age and when he went to college at Ingolstadt he met Professor Waldman, whom shared a similar scientific interest. ... • 41. Cheryl's Relationship With Mother Bobbi Wild has been one of the best books I've read in a long time. While I honestly don't get to read as much as I would like, I am very grateful that we were assigned this reading for the semester. Once we were assigned the reading, I decided to watch the film on HBO. I really enjoyed the film and thought that the book would be even better, I was not let down. The film did the book justice in my opinion. There were several things left out in the film, however I believe that all of the important and most valuable lessons were featured. One of my favorite parts of the book was the relationship that Cheryl had with her mother Bobbi. They were extremely close to one another. Even though Cheryl may not have appreciated everything that her mother had done for her or lack thereof, she eventually realized that her mother one was one of the greatest people she had ever known. I believe the film captures their relationship very well and we were able to understand how much of a loss it was for Cheryl to lose her mother at such a young age. Once her mother passed, it was hard for Cheryl to accept love from anyone else, including her husband Paul which ultimately led to them divorcing due to her infidelities. ... For example Cheryl's encounter with Frank in the book when she runs into him there were two other individuals mentioned. The film only mentions Frank, but does elaborate on what Frank does in the vehicle and how he makes her feel uncomfortable. Cheryl senses his fear and lies; saying that she is meeting up with her husband on the trail later. Frank takes Cheryl home with him to get a hot meal from his wife Annette, shower and sleep for the night. • 45. Representative Heuristic And Representative Bias Definition Representativeness Bias or Representativeness Heuristic is a shortcut in trying to associate present people or events to past experience. It is the probability that event A is connected to event B because they share common physical characteristics. We observe a person or object and if it shares similar qualities from another object we are familiar with, then we assume that the object is a part of that category. I used Legally Blonde because it is a great example of how Elle (Reese Witherspoon) was underestimated. Elle is a blonde sorority girl, from California, and has a lot of money. She always has the best clothes, friends, and dates. Based upon, her physical attributes, people categorize her as being unintelligent, and unable to complete ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The movie depicts how there is no longer the "American Dream" and no longer a perfect way of life and the changes the world has made. The world that the teenagers come from is filled with sex, drugs, money, and is very different from the way the world was in which the Pleasantville Show took place in. Morals and values have changed in the people and in society that the teenagers came from and shows it would be impossible to return back to the kind of life style the world had in the 50's. Some embrace the changes as others fight against any change. As more people become influenced by David and Jennifer's ideas the more color is added to the show, which is depicting how certain changes can have a ripple effect. As more people accepted the changes, the more color was added to the show and the changes became their new normal and life wasn't so defined as it had been and there were a lot more choices and acceptable scenarios of life. In the world we live in today we understand that experiencing different things is OK. The black and white in the film is represented by a more traditionalist value which is how most of the world was. • 53. Informative Essay On Exotic Animals Most households own a dog or a cat, and perhaps some reptiles or a fish. For some people, however, they keep exotic animals as pets. When you say exotic, it means pigs, tigers, snakes, chimpanzees, and even a raccoon. The film starts with Elle being portrayed as the cliché, spoiled, and blonde rich–girl living a privileged life in a mansion in Bel–Air, California. Although Elle may seem like the stereotypical blonde–girl, her background includes a fashion major, a 4.0 GPA, and the president of her sorority. Elle's life gets thrown a curveball after being dumped by her boyfriend Warner, played by Matthew Davis, and she follows him to Harvard Law School in an attempt to prove his mistake wrong. The opening of the film leaves viewers thinking Elle will be the "dumb–blonde" so common in the media, only to be quickly shown as the opposite after shutting down a sales clerk who tries to overprice a dress. In the real world, blondes are often seen as being stupid and dumb, and social media is filled with "dumb blonde jokes." This film challenges that, and with a primarily teenage–girl audience, the uplifting message is being in the right direction. Feminism is a big controversy being dealt with today, and despite this film being 15 years old, the issue is touched upon in the perfect way. Elle can be seen as being in leadership roles, such as during the trial scene, and being better than the men. She even beats out Professor Callahan in a huge murder trial. The biography of blind musician ray Charles. Both are high profile motion pictures about major recording stars who recently died (Cash passed away in 2003, four months after the death of his wife, June Carter). The music the 2 of them play is different, but there are very similar plot fundamentals, among which are drug use. "Walk the Line" I think is a better film. It 's put together with more style, and it never seems to get boring, unlike "Ray" which near the end seems to drag on for a bit. "Ray" had much more fantasy as opposed to "Walk the Line" which was all completely based on Cash 's own words. This movie also has a powerful plotline that "Ray" didn 't, a love story! To me, that 's what made this film much better than "Ray".

Artificial Intelligence Argument Essay Artificial Intelligence is undoubtedly a hotly debated topic in today's society, with many concerned that it will soon enslave humanity and others saying that it's harmless and only here to help us. Many sci–fi movies, such as the infamous 1984 film produced by James Cameron, The Terminator, portray robots as becoming knowledgeable and taking over the world. Humanity creates an artificially intelligent program known as Skynet, which becomes completely cognizant and overthrows the world by initiating a nuclear holocaust. Nick Bostrom, a philosopher and the University of Oxford, states that, "...superintelligence could emerge, and while it could be great [...] it could also decide it doesn't need humans around" (Ford). This philosopher, like many other technology critics, can see the effects that artificial intelligence may have on our future, however there is always the select group of people who cannot foresee the consequences of their actions. For example, Victor Frankenstein was introduced to science at a young age and when he went to college at Ingolstadt he met Professor Waldman shared a similar scientific interest. Waldman proclaimed,"If your wish is to become really a man of science [...] I should advise you to apply to every branch of natural philosophy..." much like how Waldman himself devotes his life to all branches of science (Shelley 29). However, this sparked Victor's interested and caused him to not immediately realize the ramifications of his attempts to bring the dead back to life, which lead to the death of Victor's loved ones and the destruction of his world. The entire human race in The Terminator closely resembles Victor Frankenstein considering that humans create the superintelligent program, Skynet, which is supposed solely defend the nation's cyber network, however it ends up taking over the world. • 98. Important Concepts on Film Edition Section 1F 1. Define parallel editing, montage sequence, and master shot, using Nichols. Give an example of parallel editing that you notice in The Terminator. a. Parallel editing is method of editing scenes that shows two separate incidents happening at once. In The Terminator, this editing method was used when, after calling Sarah Conner pretending to be her mom, the terminator comes to the hotel that she and Kyle were staying at. During this scene, the scene where Sarah Conner and Kyle are talking and preparing to leave and the scene where the terminator is approaching the hotel crosscuts. Thus, the audience knows that the danger is approaching. b. Montage sequence is group of shots that marks the change in time or "the unfolding of a process." (Nichols, 2010) c. Master shot is a shot that provides an overview of the scene showing all the characters' movement and gestures. It is different from establishing shot in that establishing shot often puts a bigger action into play. In The Terminator, master shot is applied when Kyle, in the future world, enters the underground hut where human beings stay, master shot is used to show the movement and gestures of Kyle and all the other soldiers. 2. Women are often sexualized and pictured as an object for men. Examples of this can be seen in our daily lives with such frequency, that it doesn't seem wrong anymore. • 122. Marilyn Monroe : The Stereotypes Of Marilyn Cameron Monroe You may have heard of the famous actress Marilyn Monroe. If so you would know that she was an actress in the 1950s and 60s and acted in movies such as Men Prefer Blondes and Some Like it Hot. In most of her movies, she played the smaller parts but even though her characters had little to say she still put just as much emotion into them as the main characters had. Billy Wilder describes her as an "an absolute genius as a comic actress". But during the time period of her career, most blonde women were portrayed as dumb on ditsy. She was fully aware of how most people who didn't know her, thought of her because in her last interview she exclaims, "Please don't make me a joke". What are the Stereotypes? The common assumption that all blondes are unintelligent is actually causing some negative effects. For example, it is affecting blondes confidence and their ability to publicly speak. In an article by Huffington Post about a Ted Talk by Cameron Russell, it states, "First, imagine yourself answering [...] a question in front of a live audience and video cameras. That's by itself nerve–wracking, but on top of that, the threat of knowing that a large portion of that audience will automatically think "dumb blonde" if you mess up is all the more likely to make you, well, mess up". This stereotype puts immense pressure on blondes to never mess up even though people of all hair colors mess up on a daily basis but they don't have to worry about being labeled dumb every time they do mess up. Another negative of the stereotype is the effect it had on the workplace. In an experiment done by Ohio State University, it concludes that "employers who believe the beauty part of the myth" will most likely higher a blonde woman "to work in front–line positions" where looks and personality are key. Also "employers [who believe] the myth that blondes are dumb" will higher fewer blondes in a position where 'intelligence is more highly valued than looks". • 134. The Terminator By James Cameron The Terminator was written by James Cameron and came out in 1984.1 It tells of a post–apocalyptic world dominated by a war between humans and artificially intelligent robots, called terminators. The movie was produced at the beginning of the Digital Age, and computer development and use was beginning to increase. Computer companies like Apple and Microsoft had recently been founded and some of the first personal computers were being created. "Many wondered if society was becoming too dependent of technology". In addition to computers, all forms of technology were rapidly improving during this time period. The Terminator predicts that the relationship between man and computer turns bad when the computer is given too much power. Ultimately, mankind creates its own downfall. Furthermore, the terminator is seen as superior to the human characters in the movie. The Terminator has no feelings of pain, anger, remorse, or any other kind of emotions. It seems to be a flawless killer, unmatched by its weak creators. The Terminator embodies people's fears of the advancement of technology and its impact on society. The Terminator takes place over the course of a week in the 1980s in an unknown town. The movie is about a robot (a "terminator") that goes back in time to kill a woman named Sarah Connor and a man named Kyle Reese who tries to save her. • 138. Intertextuality In Pleasantville Through the post–modernist film 'Pleasantville' (1998), director Gary Ross, incorporates intertextuality to express his attitude towards idea of control through the characters of David (Tobey Maguire) and Jennifer (Reese Witherspoon) who are transported into the 1950s sitcom. Ross implements allusions, intertextual references through literature and art work and cinematic techniques to convey themes of revolution, standing up for one's belief and liberation. In 'Pleaseantville' the theme of standing up for one's belief is well portrayed with multiple references to 'Catcher in the Rye', by J.D. Salinger and cinematic devices. The intertextual connection between the novel and film is most evident in the protagonist's quest to enlighten the society ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 146. Film Analysis: Sweet Home Alabama One of my favorite movies of all time is Sweet Home Alabama. This movie came out in the early 2000s starring two of my favorite actors, Reese Witherspoon and Patrick Dempsey. Reese Witherspoon plays an up and rising fashion designer in New York, Melanie Carmichael. Melanie has the perfect life in New York with her career, friends, and boyfriend, Andrew, who happens to be the son of the mayor of New York. But when Andrew proposes to her, Melanie has to face the skeletons in her closet and her past that is awaiting her back down South. Melanie decides to take a quick trip down to her hometown, Greenville, Alabama, to convince her husband, who she hasn't seen in seven years, to sign the divorce papers that he keeps returning unsigned to her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The concept of geography and language is also displayed several times throughout this movie. At the beginning, Melanie and Andrew think that they have a lot in common, but as Melanie continues her stay in her hometown, she finds that they have more differences than she originally thought. The concept of geography and language is continuously displayed in the way that Andrew interacts with his friends and family and the way that Melanie interacts with her friends and family. The South has been portrayed for years and years as having southern hospitality. The people who live in the South have always had the stereotype of being warm, sweet, and welcoming to their visitors and those around them. When Andrew and his mother first meet Melanie's parents, Melanie's parents welcome Andrew and his mother with a warm hug and a loving attitude, which makes Andrew's mother extremely uncomfortable because, during this time especially, people in the North weren't portrayed as being as up close and personal as those in the South. Another more obvious difference between Melanie and Andrew regarding geography and language is their basic lifestyle views and beliefs. Andrew grew up in New York City with his mother who is highly involved in the Democratic Party, while Melanie grew up in the South where, during this time, the majority of the southern region had ... • 154. Courage In Ruth Gordon's Water For Elephants An enlightened women named Ruth Gordon once said, "Courage is like a muscle, it is strengthened by use." In the novel, Water for Elephants, courage is moderately demonstrated. How would you react if on one ordinary day, you're confidently taking an exam that you have been preparing for, you're just inches away from your dream, and all of a sudden your hearing pessimistic news that your parents are dead? You realize you'll obtain no more delicate kisses from your mother. You already miss the muscular hugs from the father you so diligently looked up to. In Water for Elephants, Jacob, magnificently played by Robert Pattinson, took the courageous risk to jump on a train and commence his life all over. Jumping on a train as it's in motion is a ...
