Future Writing
How I Will Use Writing in My Life and in the Future
At one point or another everyone will use writing throughout the span of their lifecycle. These
writings can take many different forms. From speeches, personal or public journal entries,
newspaper or magazine writings, to internet blogs; just to name a few. In my lifecycle now and in
the future I will use writing in several different forms. College papers, is the first form of writing
that I am currently encountering in my life. I will continue to experience this form of writing in the
future as I continue to embark on my collegiate journey. Currently, I write 4 papers at least per
semester that I am enrolled in school. These papers are expected to follow a certain format before

Journal writings for me are personal. Although, I do use journal writings within this English course
as well. While writing most of my journals are personal, it does feel wonderful to get my thoughts
and feelings out onto paper. It is the most freeing and enjoyable form of writing that I use. Speeches
are the third form of writing that I currently use and will continue to use throughout my college
career. Speeches are the most dreaded form of writing for me. When writing a speech I have a
tendency to overthink and revise my speech several times, never getting it to be "just perfect."
Although speeches are a form of writing that I currently use and will use throughout my college
career, I am hopeful that I will not have to use them after college. Emails and letters are the final
form of writing that I use in my day to day and will continue to use throughout life. While emails
and letters are a shorter form of writing, I find that if they are not composed correctly, they can be
misconstrued. When composing these writings, as with most writings you need to watch the format,
wording, capitalization, and punctuation. I find this to be the most frequently used form of writing
that I currently use and will continue to

How Does the Poet Use Language and Form to Give Readers an...
How does the poet use language and form to give readers an insight into the thoughts and feelings of
the speaker?
Poems are a way of expressing yourself. To some people poems may seem like a bunch of meaning
less words, however if you analyze each line you will find a great story behind it. In this essay I will
be writing about two initially diverse poems, 'Flag' by John Agard and 'Out of the Blue' written by
Simon Armitage. Agard is originally from Guyana in the Caribbean and is known for his personal
voice seeping out of his poems and writings like "Checking Out Me History". On reading and
considering "Flag" it seems as if his individual feelings about flags have been portrayed. Whereas
Armitage's poem, which has been taken out ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also in the second and third line of the fifth stanza it rhymes. The final stanza is an effective
conclusion to the previous four as the form of the poem differs. John Agard makes a clear statement
in "Flag" that a colonialism is wrong and armies and nations that take control of another land has no
sense of right and wrong. The need for power in this generation, previous generations and for many
generations to come is corrupting this world and is causing mass bloodshed. As Agard states people
who take any part in this is blinding their conscience. "Flag" can mean different things when you
look at it from different perspectives and it really depends on how deep you take it; for some people
this poem is very political and for others it may merely tell us the significance of a flag. Maybe the
poem is imposing that a flag is a dangerous object that should be used with care. The poem as a
whole may be a warning or a reminder of what is happening in the world today and what has been
happening for as long as civilization. "Out of the Blue" is about the 9/11 attacks on New York,
America. Armitage interprets the happening from a victim's point of view. Firstly, the form of the
poem is not continuous or very structured however this gives an effect to the whole poem because
the victim does not feel very 'structured'. In fact he/she is unraveling into the unknown with no
particular direction just like the form of the poem; it could go anywhere.

Use of First Person Form in Academic Writing
Use of First Person Form in Academic Writing:
The use of first– and second–person pronouns like I, you, me, my, and your is normally discouraged
in academic writing for various reasons. This is despite of the fact that these pronouns can
sometimes be used effectively in academic writing to provide certain benefits that improve an
individual's writing. One of the major reasons why the use of these pronouns is discouraged is
because academic and college writing situations normally vary based on stylistic conventions,
purpose, audience, and tone. Actually, the audience and purpose of the writing not only determine
the context of writing but they also affect the way an individual writes.
Beneficial Uses of "I": As previously mentioned, the use of the first– and second–person pronoun
can be useful in academic writing. This effectiveness is largely because of the following benefits
provided by this pronoun:
Assertiveness:
First– and second–person pronouns can be useful in academic writing when emphasizing or
showing the agency involved in doing something. For example, the pronouns can be used when
showing how an individual's specific project is valuable to an academic discipline.
Clarity:
The use of the first person can be beneficial in academic writing because trying to avoid it can
sometime result in vagueness and awkward constructions.
Self–Positioning in the Essay: The first– and second–person pronoun can be useful in projects that
require the writer to explain

Metaphors, Forms Of Human Communication And Erapeutic Uses
Metaphors, forms of symbolic language, have been used as teaching and healing tools in stories for
centuries, cite Mills and Crowley (2014). PTUK course book (2017) also cites that research by
Levin and Modell has proven that more brain cells light up in response to metaphor than any other
form of human communication forming new neural pathways. In this essay I will be looking at the
theory behind using a therapeutic story and relating it to my process of using one with my client.
Sunderland (2000) states that stories can be an important part of therapeutic tool kit, as a vehicle,
through which a child can process troubled feelings. Sunderland (2000) adds that children can often
find it difficult to put their feelings into words, as their natural communication method is through
images and metaphors. A therapeutic story can express those feelings in child's language and help
the child to build trust that her feelings are understood, which then will help the child to share her
own feelings. Sunderland (2002) also advises that there are four ways a therapeutic story can work;
It can present the child options that she can use when coming across an obstacle, it can present new
ways and solutions of dealing with problems that might have felt unsolvable, it can show ways of
coping with emotional problems, and it can provide options for new ways of being. Ericson (1991)
cites that the therapist should encourage learning through experience, as this is more beneficial than
learning

Should Businesses Use Aggressive Forms of External Growth...
Should businesses use aggressive forms of external growth (such as takeovers) or should they rely
on less hostile options (such as mergers)? There are two ways a business can expand, internally
(which is also referred to as organic) and externally (which is also referred to as inorganic). In this
report, I'm mainly going to be focusing on external growth. Firstly, what is meant by 'external
growth'? "External Growth is when businesses grow by integrating (joining) with another business."
(Exercise Book) There are also two ways of externally expanding; merging or taking over. "Merging
is when two (or more) businesses reach an agreement to join together and operate as one business. It
tends to be mutually beneficial to both businesses. A ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Other Advantages of Mergers Increasing the confidence of the shareholders of the merged company.
Reduce redundancies Beneficial to a struggling company by helping it to survive. Making a strong
presence in the domestic markets. Financial Resources Sources: http://kalyan–
city.blogspot.com/2012/08/what–are–advantages–of–mergers.html Once again, "A takeover is when
one business buys another business. This tends to be more hostile as the buying business is the main
one to benefit." There are some advantages you can gain from this. Firstly, likewise to merging,
there can be international growth. "Businesses can make their services or products available globally
by acquiring businesses in various locations internationally. For instance, Belgium brewing
company, InBev took over Budweiser for $52 billion in 2008 in order to expand its presence in the
U.S. market and create one of the largest consumer beverage companies in the world, according to
The Times. Due to the acquisition, profits of the company rose by 11 percent in 2011, according to
France 24." (http://smallbusiness.chron.com/) Another advantage from a takeover that I also
mentioned earlier is Diversifying Products. "One example is Kraft 's 2010 takeover of Cadbury for
$19.5 billion. The acquisition diversified Kraft 's candy line with more than 40 brands, increased
revenue and sales as well as the company 's international presence, especially in

Cocain and amphetamines are Addictive and Dangerous Essay
Cocaine and amphetamines are highly addictive and dangerous drugs that have affected our society
today. There have been various forms of cocaine and amphetamines that have become popular and
abusive throughout the United States. The forms of cocaine are: powder and crack, and these two
forms are seen as highly dangerous to the individuals that abuse it. Also, there are several types of
amphetamines which have been noted to be just as addictive and dangerous as cocaine. In this paper
I will briefly discuss the different forms of cocaine and amphetamines as well as discuss the
treatment options used for individuals with cocaine and amphetamine abuse.
According to Maisto, Galizio, & Conners, (2011), there are two forms of cocaine that consist ...

Also, Methamphetamine brand name is Desoxyn and the slang names are speed, crank, ice, etc.
Methylphenidate brand name is Ritalin and Concerta and the slang name is Vitamin R. Lastly,
Methcarthinone, which is mostly used in Africa, slang name is cat (Drug use and abuse, 2011, p.
120). Even though medically used amphetamines are used to calm children diagnosed with attention
deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), they are still considered to be an addictive and a quite
dangerous stimulant (Drug use and abuse, 2011, p. 120).
According to Emrick, Lassen, and Edwards (1977), the treatment options that are available for
individuals addicted to cocaine or amphetamines would consist of "peer self help groups" (Drug use
and abuse, 2011, p. 372). It was stated by Regier et al., (1993) that a national survey showed over
1.5 million individuals in the United States using self help groups to overcome their drug abuse
(Drug use and abuse, 2011, p. 373). In the self help group, the individual must first be ready or
motivated to make the changes before attempting to join. There are also professional drug
rehabilitation facilities, but not all individuals are able to afford to attend those costly facilities.
In conclusion, the different forms of cocaine and different types of amphetamines are all considered
addictive and dangerous to our society. Even though, there are medicinal uses for cocaine and
amphetamines, there are side effects that can make life for the individuals

HIPAA Discussion Paper
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, HIPAA was passed by Congress in 1996 to
provide the ability to transfer and continue health insurance coverage for workers as well as their
families after changing or losing their jobs. As a result, new patients are required to fill HIPAA
compliant forms while existing patients should update their information on a regular basis.
Documenting and maintaining the HIPAA forms properly ensures that healthcare providers focus
more on other aspects of their practice. The forms restrict access to patient's information by seeking
the patient's permission to disclose such information in certain circumstances only. The forms thus
must be available in the HIPAA compliance manual. The HIPAA forms are crucial in implementing
access controls to keep track of the persons who access the patient's information. The new patient
forms include patient history forms, patient registration form, advanced directive to physician forms,
authorization for use and disclosure of protected health information, HIPAA Contact Disclosure,
HIPAA notice of privacy practices (Acknowledgement), and well–being assessment form. Patient

signing the form. The patient also bears the right to request a restriction of information protection

patient needs to understand is, if they refuse to sign, it can prevent them from receiving the correct
treatment that they are in need of. The Authorization Form does not have an expiration date unless
the medical facility enters one. (Privacy rules and research 2014). The HIPAA privacy regulations
do not require you to obtain patient's consent to use their PHI for routine disclosures, such as those

Why Does William Gibson Use Helen To Form Annie
William Gibson uses Helen to form Annie's character and shows the depth of Helen's problem of not
being able to follow orders. This shows the reader how Helen and Annie don't get along well
because of Helen's problem to follow directions and Annie's problem of being over controlling. At
the beginning of the time that Helen will be working together with Annie. Gibson shows us that
Annie obviously lacks being able to give up. Instead she keeps marching forward with Helen and
her stubbornness. Helen however has the same spirit and won't give up until she gets her way. Helen
and Annie are not on good terms after the "breakfast scene" and after Helen a blind, deaf child is
able to fold her napkin and eat with a spoon. Because of the breakfast

Was Thomas Jefferson's Use Of Logical Appeal In The Form...
Thomas Jefferson has always been a very prominent writer even at a young age when he created a
pamphlet that was against parliamentary authority of Great Britain. Many praised him for this and
may of his other works later on. This praise led to the leaders of the thirteen colonies electing him to
be the main writer of the document that would enable all of their freedom from Great Britain: the
Declaration of Independence. Jefferson, as well as everyone else in the colonies, believed that they
should have their freedom because Britain was uprising the colonies, taking away their rights, and
trying to make slaves out of the colonists. With the help of other prominent people of the time,
Jefferson got straight to work on this what we know as one of the most important documents in the
history of the United States. He and his little team banded together and thought about how ... Show

Great Britain and anyone for that matter may have either been thick skinned or merely did not care
for the emphasis in the overall argument, but there is one thing that the enemy could not deny: facts.
Facts are a vital part of logical appeal in the form of persuasion. People will side more with facts
than getting emotional in an argument or simply repeating themselves about their struggle.
Jefferson's strongest argument was when he actually listed all of the things that Britain had done that
was none other than the truth. "To prove this, let facts be submitted to a candid world for the truth of
which we pledge a faith yet unsullied by falsehood. He has refused to assent to laws the most
wholesome and necessary for the public good..." Then Jefferson goes down his very long list of the
crimes against the king that has angered the colonists and drove them to this point of desiring
independence. No one could deny a fact, not even the king. Ultimately, this argument using logical
appeal was the most effective when regarding the tactic of

Explore the view that texting and/or web–based interactions can be very creative forms of language
use As time goes on, everything that we do in life modernises alongside us. Many people hold the
opinion that 'old fashioned' methods of language use were more caring and creative, and that
modern technology allows us to simply be 'lazy'. However by looking at examples of texting, and/or
web–based interaction, I will be able to show that modern language use can too be very creative. My
conversation with Sophie starts with a text from myself saying 'OMG YOULL NEVER GUESS
WHAT I JUST HEARD!!!!! Xx'. A key factor of the creativity in this text conversation is the
capitalisation. Capitalisation is used as a reflection of intonation and ... Show more content on

But seeing as this conversation is only over text, the only way to convey the shock or surprise is
through the emoticon's, which are now a very popular way of communicating through multi–modal
talk. Also by using four of these pictures instead of just using one, it suggests that Sophie cant get
over the shock of what has just happened. So this is a clear indication of how much the news I have
just told means to Sophie. My final text of the conversation is just a simple 'ikr!!!!!' this is a quick
abbreviation of saying 'I know, right?' which exploit's the use of limited space. It is used so that I can
quickly respond the Sophie's text to the excitement to my agreement. I finish this text with multiple
exclamation marks, to show that we are on the same level of understanding with one another,
without putting the exclamation marks the message may have been considered rude or blunt, as it is
quite short. The very final text of this conversation is from Sophie when she says 'Cant believe it!!!
G2G speak tomoz!!xx'. The 'G2G' is an abbreviation of the saying 'got to go', with Sophie
shortening the word it clearly indicates that she is in a rush and again exploits the use of limited
space and shows that she was trying to give me the information in the quickest way possible. I think
that texting, and/or web–based interactions can be very creative forms of language use

While student is reading each passage, evaluator must use a timer or stopwatch and note any

Jonathan Swift’s Use of Size: Satirizing the Negative Form...
Swift reveals the negative side of the Europeans in the 18th century. He satirizes Gulliver and the
different inhabitants Gulliver comes across. By using size, Swift shows the dreadful sides of the
Europeans and their faults. Although some readers say that Swift uses size in Gulliver's Travels to
satirize people positively, he uses satire to reveal the negative side of people showing their human
pride, existence, and knowledge. First of all, Swift claims that Gulliver's size symbolizes misplaced
human pride. He uses the Lilliputians, Houyhnhnms, Yahoos, and Gulliver to point out the
misplaced pride of humans. Swift writes, "...and the promise of honour I [Gulliver] made them

He uses the Laputans, Houyhnhnms, Yahoos, and Gulliver to compare the array of intelligence.
According to Swift, "...although they [Laputan woman] live here in the greatest plenty and
magnificence...and take the diversions of the metropolis, which they are not allowed to do without a
particular licence from the king..." In other words, Swift believes Gulliver's size symbolizes a vast
range of knowledge. Swift reveals the Laputan's knowledge, which is not made socially useful. Of
course, many will probably disagree with this assertion that Swift satirizes the knowledge of the
Laputans to the knowledge of the Englishmen at the time, but he acknowledges the Englishmen's
use of knowledge negatively. In addition, Swift states, "When I [Gulliver] happened to behold the
reflection of my own form in a lake or a fountain, I turned away my face in horror and detestation of
myself, and could better endure the sight of a common Yahoo, than of my own person." Swift
believes that the Houyhnhnms, the horse race, show their intellectual size versus the Yahoo's
intellectual size. Swift uses the horses and Yahoos to show the misplaced intellectual sizes. Of
course, many will disagree with this assertion that the Houyhnhnms shows a "utopia." While it is
true that Swift may use the intellectual sizes for a different purpose, it does not necessarily follow
that Swift doesn't use the Houyhnhnms, Yahoos, and Gulliver to show the

Use Of Purpose And Form In To Kill A Mockingbird, By...
While analyzing any sort of text it is very important to take a look at purpose and form. From
purpose and form a message or moral is thrived which provides a life lesson. Many times readers
may overlook the purpose and form of a text, which can cause confusion and misunderstanding
when expanding the reading to find a theme. Purpose and form are two critical aspects that are the
main contributors to a meaning. This can be seen through "To kill a Mockingbird" written by Harper
Lee, as she uses purpose and significantly uses form to create meaning. Furthermore this concept is
also present in "King Lear" by William Shakespeare, who majorly utilizes purpose and form to
illustrate meaning. While taking a look at these two very famous and well–known ... Show more

Purpose and form can be quite complicated to determine and understand but in order to get a deep
understanding of the moral it is necessary to breakdown key conceptions so that a full meaning can
be addressed. Harper Lee does a effective job highlighting purpose in "To kill a Mockingbird". She
sets her book in a era where racism is at its severe heights. She uses Tom Robinson an African
American accused of rapping a Caucasian female. Even though there is enough evidence to prove
Robinson not guilty he is proved guilty by and all white jury. From her novel it is clearly
demonstrated that the purpose of this novel is to break racial barriers and clear all stereotypical
ideas. Lee does an excessive job writing this novel through a child named Scout. She bases her
perceptions all through Scout and her point of view this represents the form of her novel, the style,
the shape of her literature. Extensively as Scout says, "you never really understand a person until
you consider things from his point of view... Until you climb inside of his skin and walk

Analysis Of Schiele 's Other Self Portrait
In Schiele's other self–portrait cataloged here Squatting Man (Self–Portrait), Schiele confronts the
viewer. It is the first image seen here that actually makes contact with the viewer. The eyes which
are often seen as the mirror to the soul stare back at the viewer in a challenging and unashamed way.
The position the figure is in is also one that alludes to birth as did his Nude Self–Portrait, the colors
here are a blend of cooler colors – browns, blues and grays fill in the figures body which is one of
the only full body self–portraits done of Schiele himself. The blend of purples, blues, and browns
here could evoke a sense of death or a decaying/ sick person or corpse. Also the colors can be
associated with bruising on the skin. There is an undertone of questioning of sexuality here as
Schiele draws himself squatting a position that is not usually seen as masculine in nature. His head
is tilted to one side as well almost in a questioning and unsure posture as his hands are folded over
the lower part of his naked form concealing his manhood. The squatting position is also associated
with release through the form of using the bathroom which could have something to do with the
colors of brown used here . "It has been noted that frontal self–portraits possess a healing function
for artists in times of crisis and transition". Schiele who does a series of paintings and self–portraits
in a crouching position (this one being one of the first) uses this crouching position to talk

English Verb Forms Of English Grammar
According to ELT and Greebaum's The Oxford English Grammar (1996) English verb forms can be
systematized under two huge categories, each of them includes sub–categories of forms.
1.Inflected forms:
1.1. Base Form of verbs: In English grammar a regular English verb has only on principal part, from
which all following verb forms can be derived. This form is available in dictionary and is called
base form. For example, base form is paint, the inflected forms are: paint, paints, painted, painting.
Hence we can notice, that the base may be called the bare infinitive and the another common way to
referring to verbs is combination with –to + infinitive, for example, to paint (Greenbaum, S., 1996,
Pp.118–121)
1.2. Irregular verbs have three principal parts (because the simple past and past participle are
unpredictable). For instance, the verb write with the base form write, past form – wrote, and past
participle – written, the remaining forms (writes and writing) are derived regularly (Greenbaum, S.,
1996, Pp.126–128)
1.3. Also there are such verbs as do, say and have that additionally have irregular third person
singular present tense forms.
1.4. That is, the copular verb be is irregular (forms: be, am, is, are, was, were, been and being),
1.5. On the opposition modal verbs (can and must) are defective verbs and are being used only in
limited number of forms (Greenbaum, S., 1996, Pp.125–129).
Another important part of verb form analysis is grammatical base form or plain form

Health Care Adoption Paper
The handwritten documentation has been the usual way of recording medical data since the
nineteenth century. However, the fast development of computer technology has led to the
advancement and use of electronic medical records (EMRs) throughout the past several decades
(Jerant & Hill, 2000). The evolution from a paper to an electronic setting can be somewhat
straightforward. The two leading reasons why most facilities chooses to convert to EMRs is patient
care and safety. Health–care Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) presented its
EMR adoption model in 2005 and now tracks the implementation growth of more than 5000 U.S

How Does Tony Adams Use Bob's Burgers As A Form Of Comedy
Throughout college I have found some media that has really peaked my interest both as a comedy
fan and a media and public communications fan. Bob's Burgers for example is a show that I watch
way more often than any normal human being should in a way they were able to take puns, a form
of comedy that is considered the lowest form of comedy and make it pop culture. This paper will be
an analysis of the Gene and how he uses queering throughout the series however, however the series
uses this as a form of comic relief. The character of Gene is very much portrayed the way any 11–
year–old boy would be. Often the comedy that he uses throughout the series revolves around fart
jokes and or things that one could think of course a 11–year–old said that. Tony E. Adams defines
queer as, "actions that rebel against–heterosexual–heteronormative–expectations of intimate
relationships including biases against being single, aspirations for marriage, norms about ... Show

Adams does a really good job at unpacking different definitions of queer, as well as saying that they
do not always deal with queer or gender roles. What I've taken most importantly from his study is
the notion of peculiar. This definition can be used to discuss every single character that has been on
Bob's Burgers since the genesis of the series, however, I believe that shows like this are merely
trying to conceive a sense of normalcy in everyday life issues that we face. Gene is a great character
to do this because of the peculiar ethos that the show has created for the child. The show never
presents the character as a homosexual character, but they do often use him to break the social
norms of a 11–year–old in any series. While a lot of his dialog does include dialog there is a direct
relationship to Gene and normalizing sexual identities in

Mosaics
SUBJECT: Art & Architecture
TOPIC: Mosaics
Introduction
A simple form of art, Mosaic uses hundreds of small tile or pottery pieces to build large pictures and
images either on the floor or on walls. The tiny little pieces of tile are known as tesserae. This
technique has been adopted by many cultures throughout such as in Rome, Greece and in Middle
East. The technique used in its cladding is very effective due to which this art form is long lasting
Popular belief states that the Middle eastern architecture is heavily influenced by the middle ages

The first impression of Mosaic art in the Islamic architecture is seen in the Dome of the Rock,
Jerusalem. Built between 688–692, it consist of glass mosaic work, and as it is an Islamic structure,
the motifs are geometric and do not contain any human or animal motif. The style is inspired by the
Byzantium traditions and thus incorporates many aspects of similar architecture. Even though
heavily adopted from the Byzantium era, use of anthropomorphism was strictly prohibited in Islamic
culture. This gave rise to evolving of unique mosaic form which included intricate geometrical
design dominated by use of contrasting colour. One of the common features of Islamic mosaic form
is the repetitive use of set patterns to formulate a uge geometric motif placed centrally over the
structure
The Umayyad Mosque situated in Damascus, which was the capital of the then Arab Caliphate,
makes use of mosaic art to depict heaven in the courtyard of the structure. It is complete with the
depiction of pretty flowers, beautiful trees and hills. A continuous depiction is observed in 'Barada
Panel' which makes use of huge tiles, unlike the former use of small tiles. Being an Islamic
structure, the mosque was devoid of any kind of human and animal motifs, even though being
heavily influenced by the Byzantium style of mosaic art which essentially incorporated life forms
and human and animal forms.
Recent excavations revealed intricate mosaic work at Qastal, Amman.

Emily Dickinson's Use Of Form
Dickinson's use of form adds to the uncertainty nature of her poems and the indeterminacy of the
overall theme, but also provides a window as to her honest thoughts. Because Dickinson's poems
weren't titled, they were given numbers instead. They were also referred by the first line of the
poem. For example, poem 620 (435) could also be called "Much Madness is divinest Sense –". It's
unclear as to the reason why she didn't title her work, but it's quite possible that she never titled any
of them because she never intended to publish them. Out of all the works she did publish, she did
them anonymously (Franklin 1) and she named them, but she didn't name any of the poems that she
hid away. As a result, Dickinson's poems could be perceived as her ... Show more content on

Throughout the poem, a Master is referenced numerous times and the narrator states that they'd do

How Does Beethoven Use Gcse Form In Symphony 8
Introduction One of the most crucial composers throughout the transition of the classical era to the
romantic era was Beethoven. He was pronounced as the greatest living composer by the time he was
50. Throughout his lifetime he had published 138 compositions and after his death there were over
200 more compositions published. This is an amazing feat as he had started suffering from hearing
loss at the age of 26 and by the time he was around the age of 46, he became fully deaf. He created
some of the most famous pieces of which includes Fur Elise, Symphony No.5, and Symphony No.9.

This theme begins with a legato and lyrical style that contrasts the staccato style of the first theme.
The violins are used as an accompaniment of the melodic exchange between the flute and the oboe.
This exchange creates a back and forth movement between the two instruments. The melody begins
with a rising fourth which is a link to the first theme. The accompaniment plays staccato arpeggios
which gives a reminder of the last measure of the first theme. From measure 65, the use of
syncopation previously heard measures 57 to 58 gives rhythmic drive through this section. The
violins then take the lead and restate the theme with the flutes and oboes answering. Beethoven's use
of diminished chords, in measure 65, and adding emphasis using sforzando adds more the dramatic
nature of the passage. In measure 69, the strings have rising eighth notes with semitones. A few
measures later the flutes and oboes double the violins' rising eighth notes which again underlines the
importance of the rising semitone. This last until measure 77 as the second theme returns to a soft
ending as the lyrical phrases played by the violins, oboes, and flutes are now played by the cellos
and double basses. The codetta, or closing, begins at measure 88 and lasts until measure 110. This
section creates a conclusion by combining familiar elements from the first and second themes. In
measures 94 to 99, the strings have tremolos which gives a sensation of the music being at fast
rhythmic tempo and in measures 100 to 109 the woodwinds and horns have slurred phrases which
resembles the lyrical phrases played in the second

Summary Of Lewis Thomas On Societies As Organisms
We, human beings feel distinctly unique, individual and most importantly, unmistakably superior
due to our exclusive intelligence. This is why we, as a society, tend to look down on other types of
life–forms, insect or animal, as they do not possess that desired intellect. Yet, Lewis Thomas, in his
opinion essay "On Societies as Organisms", argues that human society has much to learn from the
communal accomplishment of other life–forms. The author effectively conveys this main idea
through his use of analogy, enumeration of examples and through his level of language.
To begin, Thomas astutely uses analogies to make parallels between human society and other life–
forms as to inform us of our deficiencies when contrasted with those other life–forms. Thomas, first
of all, defines an organism as being a "live computer" (233) composed of "component parts" (233),
an accumulation of individuals communicating and working as one towards a common objective.
Subsequently, the analogy of the organism is used to represent the ideal human society. Hence, when
ants build their "nest" (233), "the Hill" (233), humans build their knowledge, accumulate a mountain
of knowledge (235). However, what Thomas wants us to acknowledge is that human knowledge is a
jigsaw puzzle in the sense that it is accumulated piece by piece, never all at once, never by a single
individual (Ziman qtd. in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In his essay, Thomas stresses the importance of working collectively and communication in

The Use of Form and Rhythm in William Carlos Williams's poem,"The Dance"
In William Carlos Williams's poem, "The Dance", Williams uses the inspiration of a painting by
Peter Breughel to shape his poem. Peter Breughel's painting called "The Kermess" depicts a peasant
dance of the mid fifteenth century. It shows the form and rhythm of the dance. Williams also
captures the form and the rhythm of this dance in his poem. In William Carlos Williams poem, "The
Dance" the open form, suggested images, and rhythm embodies the dance depicted in the painting
"The Kermess" by Peter Breughel.

Throughout the poem word choice such as "kicking", "rolling", "swinging", and "rollicking"
(Kennedy 235) and visual referencing keeps the reader bouncing along all the way to the end of the
poem.
In the middle of the poem Williams uses a device called enjambment to create a pause in the rhythm
of the poem. Critics say that Williams is trying to not only give the feel of the dance but also
accurately describe how the dance was performed. "In "The Peasant Dance" there was a pause, or a
stop, in the middle of the dance. Williams tries to show this part of the dance by using an
enjambment to give the poem a pause just like the dance was actually performed" (Viveinne 82).
The use of the enjambment not only gives the poem the physical form of the dance but also the
rhythmical pause mirrors the performance of the dance.
Breughel paints "The Kermess" with round figures and robust people. Williams accordingly uses
words such as "bellies" and phrases like "those shanks must be sound to bear up under such
rollicking measures" (Kennedy 235) to convey these points. Using such words contribute to the
round, open form of his poem. Williams also states that the peasants are drinking. "..whose wash
they impound" and in doing so adds a little bit of comical vision of the people tipping to and fro and
going around as they

The Use Of Adars And Other Forms Of Rna Editing And Their...
Introduction Transposable elements (TEs) such as Arthrobacter luteus (Alu) sequences make up
approximately 20% of the human DNA genome. The repeated DNA sequences were once thought to
be "junk" for decades after its discovery in the 1940s, however, recent data suggest that these
sequences cause codon alteration and splice site relocation. Ultimately these events change the
human genome. The transposable elements are believed to have risen from retrotransposition and
constant RNA editing over evolution (Kim 2013). The primary mechanism for retrotransposition is
caused by adenosine deaminases acting on RNA (ADARs). ADAR reactivity and potency will
enable scientists to track small RNA and gene interference activities. The retrotransposition of RNA
into common introns serve as indicators of sites of cancer initiation, progression, and therapeutic
effects. The influx in the concentration and frequency of production Alu sequences trigger sequence
mutation, generating different protein isomers, leading to cancer (Crews 2015). This Review
analyzes current findings of the application of ADARs and other forms of RNA editing and their
potential to revolutionize biomarker development. The future of personalized therapeutic drugs and
transplant medicine is in the RNA fingerprinting and the regulation of RNA editing activities. This
can be done through induction of pluripotent stem cells (isPSCs) and other stem cell applications

In the novel Lord of the Flies William Golding uses many forms of symbolism to point out the
underlying conflicts in their society. By using these symbols he makes the reader not only think
about the problems that arise in the book, but also hints towards problems in our society today. The
story uses the conch, fire, and the glasses to reference other meanings in the story. These symbols
play a crucial part in the story in which they provide the reader with information that isn't directly

looking after the fire. Any day there may be a ship out there"–he waved his arm at the taut wire of
the horizon–"and if we have a signal going they'll come and take us off.""(Golding, 42). At this
point in the novel their society has its first hopes of rescue and success. The fire symbolizes the
society wanting saved from the island and the burning hope that it may one day happen. The Beast
also appeared throughout the story as the fear of the society not succeeding and the apparent danger
they were in. Piggy doesn't believe that the fear is real. He states that ""I know there isn't no beast–
not with claws and all that, I mean–but I know there isn't no fear, either""(Golding, 83). The beast
represents the evil of the boys and the darkness that surrounds the society. Jack on the other hand
believes that the beast is real and says ""Bollocks to the rules! We're strong–we hunt! If there's a
beast, we'll hunt it down! We'll close in and beat and beat and beat–!"" (Golding, 102). Jack believes
that the beast can be hunted down but the beast is a symbolism for the fear inside of each and every

How Did Rosalind Franklin Use X-Ray Crystallography?
Rosalind Franklin used X–ray crystallography to discover the structure of DNA. With the use of X–
ray crystallography, or X–ray diffraction, she was able to create Photo 51. With the close
examination of this photo and other photos similar, she was able to conclude that the structure of
DNA is a double helix. She was the first to successfully discover the correct structure of DNA.
Franklin had made a breakthrough in the world of DNA. She also identified the two different forms
of DNA, the A form and B form. Through the use of x–ray crystallography, Rosalind Franklin, was
able to use a crystalline DNA sample to discover that the structure of DNA is a double helix.

She exposed the DNA sample to x–rays, usually overnight, and did this many times at many
different angles to get a 3–dimensional image of the DNA. While working with different humidity's
she discovered that there were two forms of DNA the common "A" or "dry" form that she had been
using and a longer, thinner, heavily hydrated "par crystalline" form, which she called the "B" or
"wet" form. She discovered that the forms would change depending on the humidity. The B form
produced sharp diffraction pictures. Franklin continued to photograph and observe the A form of
DNA. She believed that the A form would produce better images because it was more crystalline
than the B form. After no success with the A from she was getting ready to leave King's college. She
looked again at a picture she took labeled #51. This photo was of B form DNA. A few days later she
concluded that A and B form of DNA were two chain helices. The B form of DNA was sure to be a
double helix while she was not completely positive that the A form was also a double helix. She had
to make the conclusion that the A and B form were similar (U.S. NLM,

The Use of Various Forms of Power in an Export and Import...
Export and import company: The use of various forms of power Working in an export–import
business, I am continually reminded of the truth that power is not something that is simply done 'by'
someone 'to' someone else. According to French and Raven's (1960), power exists in five
fundamentally different forms: coercive, reward–based, legitimate, referent and expert–related
power (Straker 2012). The ability of the leader to use such power depends on his or her position,
personality, and also the contextual nature of the relationship with the follower. For example,
although coercive power is often seen as a negative thing, given that it is a power which is
dependent upon force, it is sometimes necessary to use when a supplier is not honoring his or her
obligations to our organization. We must invoke the law and the fact they are breaking a contract to
see justice done. Coercive power is defined as "the power to force someone to do something against
their will. It is often physical although other threats may be used" (Straker 2012). Coercive power, I
have found, is often ineffective within an organization, but can be necessary to use when dealing
with recalcitrant outside entities whom are not swayed by the other types of power. A second form
of power is reward–based power (Straker 2012). This is often used to motivate employees,
particularly lower–level employees. Most employees work with their eye upon a paycheck to some
extent, particularly in occupations such as stocking

Pragmatics: Appropriation And Use Of Different Forms Of...
Section1
A) Pragmatics refer to the appropriation and use of different forms of language in their appropriate
social situations. Across the spectrum of social situations there's a range of language forms that are
socially acceptable for each. Learning to recognize in which instance different language forms are
appropriate is known as following pragmatic rules of speech. Communication competence refers to
our capacity to use our different language elements in a way that's effective and completes our
output of speech in a way that helps our communication come across in the context we intended it
for. This relates closely to pragmatic rules and our understanding of them directly relates to our own
communication competence as without following ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This significant jump is vastly theorised but remains unexplained. There is evidence of early
language being based on imitated, repetitive utterances of duality. The idea of imitated, repetitive
utterances originated in the bow wow theory of hunters making animal noises while tracking these
animals. Somehow from this we have developed into having extremely complex language which can
be very ambiguous and its complexity exceeds the possibility for duality in most instances. It has
developed so much to the point where there is literally an open possibility in terms of the sort of
messages that can be portrayed with use of language. The discontinuity problem addresses this gap
in development. Even though language is very innate to most living things, the way it originated and
developed into the complex system it is today the discontinuance of certain parts of one system
when transitioning into the next is unexplainable.
Section 2
Noise is and can be responsible for the misperception of communication which can have disastrous
effect. It can occur internally and externally and affect communication between the sender and
receiver. On March 27th 1977, February 17th 1981 and December 29th 1972 there were catastrophic
air plane crashes as a result of miscommunication, the kind that can only be attributed to

Future Writing

  • 1. Future Writing How I Will Use Writing in My Life and in the Future At one point or another everyone will use writing throughout the span of their lifecycle. These writings can take many different forms. From speeches, personal or public journal entries, newspaper or magazine writings, to internet blogs; just to name a few. In my lifecycle now and in the future I will use writing in several different forms. College papers, is the first form of writing that I am currently encountering in my life. I will continue to experience this form of writing in the future as I continue to embark on my collegiate journey. Currently, I write 4 papers at least per semester that I am enrolled in school. These papers are expected to follow a certain format before they are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Journal writings for me are personal. Although, I do use journal writings within this English course as well. While writing most of my journals are personal, it does feel wonderful to get my thoughts and feelings out onto paper. It is the most freeing and enjoyable form of writing that I use. Speeches are the third form of writing that I currently use and will continue to use throughout my college career. Speeches are the most dreaded form of writing for me. When writing a speech I have a tendency to overthink and revise my speech several times, never getting it to be "just perfect." Although speeches are a form of writing that I currently use and will use throughout my college career, I am hopeful that I will not have to use them after college. Emails and letters are the final form of writing that I use in my day to day and will continue to use throughout life. While emails and letters are a shorter form of writing, I find that if they are not composed correctly, they can be misconstrued. When composing these writings, as with most writings you need to watch the format, wording, capitalization, and punctuation. I find this to be the most frequently used form of writing that I currently use and will continue to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. How Does the Poet Use Language and Form to Give Readers an... How does the poet use language and form to give readers an insight into the thoughts and feelings of the speaker? Poems are a way of expressing yourself. To some people poems may seem like a bunch of meaning less words, however if you analyze each line you will find a great story behind it. In this essay I will be writing about two initially diverse poems, 'Flag' by John Agard and 'Out of the Blue' written by Simon Armitage. Agard is originally from Guyana in the Caribbean and is known for his personal voice seeping out of his poems and writings like "Checking Out Me History". On reading and considering "Flag" it seems as if his individual feelings about flags have been portrayed. Whereas Armitage's poem, which has been taken out ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Also in the second and third line of the fifth stanza it rhymes. The final stanza is an effective conclusion to the previous four as the form of the poem differs. John Agard makes a clear statement in "Flag" that a colonialism is wrong and armies and nations that take control of another land has no sense of right and wrong. The need for power in this generation, previous generations and for many generations to come is corrupting this world and is causing mass bloodshed. As Agard states people who take any part in this is blinding their conscience. "Flag" can mean different things when you look at it from different perspectives and it really depends on how deep you take it; for some people this poem is very political and for others it may merely tell us the significance of a flag. Maybe the poem is imposing that a flag is a dangerous object that should be used with care. The poem as a whole may be a warning or a reminder of what is happening in the world today and what has been happening for as long as civilization. "Out of the Blue" is about the 9/11 attacks on New York, America. Armitage interprets the happening from a victim's point of view. Firstly, the form of the poem is not continuous or very structured however this gives an effect to the whole poem because the victim does not feel very 'structured'. In fact he/she is unraveling into the unknown with no particular direction just like the form of the poem; it could go anywhere. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Use of First Person Form in Academic Writing Use of First Person Form in Academic Writing: The use of first– and second–person pronouns like I, you, me, my, and your is normally discouraged in academic writing for various reasons. This is despite of the fact that these pronouns can sometimes be used effectively in academic writing to provide certain benefits that improve an individual's writing. One of the major reasons why the use of these pronouns is discouraged is because academic and college writing situations normally vary based on stylistic conventions, purpose, audience, and tone. Actually, the audience and purpose of the writing not only determine the context of writing but they also affect the way an individual writes. Beneficial Uses of "I": As previously mentioned, the use of the first– and second–person pronoun can be useful in academic writing. This effectiveness is largely because of the following benefits provided by this pronoun: Assertiveness: First– and second–person pronouns can be useful in academic writing when emphasizing or showing the agency involved in doing something. For example, the pronouns can be used when showing how an individual's specific project is valuable to an academic discipline. Clarity: The use of the first person can be beneficial in academic writing because trying to avoid it can sometime result in vagueness and awkward constructions. Self–Positioning in the Essay: The first– and second–person pronoun can be useful in projects that require the writer to explain ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Metaphors, Forms Of Human Communication And Erapeutic Uses Metaphors, forms of symbolic language, have been used as teaching and healing tools in stories for centuries, cite Mills and Crowley (2014). PTUK course book (2017) also cites that research by Levin and Modell has proven that more brain cells light up in response to metaphor than any other form of human communication forming new neural pathways. In this essay I will be looking at the theory behind using a therapeutic story and relating it to my process of using one with my client. Sunderland (2000) states that stories can be an important part of therapeutic tool kit, as a vehicle, through which a child can process troubled feelings. Sunderland (2000) adds that children can often find it difficult to put their feelings into words, as their natural communication method is through images and metaphors. A therapeutic story can express those feelings in child's language and help the child to build trust that her feelings are understood, which then will help the child to share her own feelings. Sunderland (2002) also advises that there are four ways a therapeutic story can work; It can present the child options that she can use when coming across an obstacle, it can present new ways and solutions of dealing with problems that might have felt unsolvable, it can show ways of coping with emotional problems, and it can provide options for new ways of being. Ericson (1991) cites that the therapist should encourage learning through experience, as this is more beneficial than learning ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. Should Businesses Use Aggressive Forms of External Growth... Should businesses use aggressive forms of external growth (such as takeovers) or should they rely on less hostile options (such as mergers)? There are two ways a business can expand, internally (which is also referred to as organic) and externally (which is also referred to as inorganic). In this report, I'm mainly going to be focusing on external growth. Firstly, what is meant by 'external growth'? "External Growth is when businesses grow by integrating (joining) with another business." (Exercise Book) There are also two ways of externally expanding; merging or taking over. "Merging is when two (or more) businesses reach an agreement to join together and operate as one business. It tends to be mutually beneficial to both businesses. A ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Other Advantages of Mergers Increasing the confidence of the shareholders of the merged company. Reduce redundancies Beneficial to a struggling company by helping it to survive. Making a strong presence in the domestic markets. Financial Resources Sources: http://kalyan– city.blogspot.com/2012/08/what–are–advantages–of–mergers.html Once again, "A takeover is when one business buys another business. This tends to be more hostile as the buying business is the main one to benefit." There are some advantages you can gain from this. Firstly, likewise to merging, there can be international growth. "Businesses can make their services or products available globally by acquiring businesses in various locations internationally. For instance, Belgium brewing company, InBev took over Budweiser for $52 billion in 2008 in order to expand its presence in the U.S. market and create one of the largest consumer beverage companies in the world, according to The Times. Due to the acquisition, profits of the company rose by 11 percent in 2011, according to France 24." (http://smallbusiness.chron.com/) Another advantage from a takeover that I also mentioned earlier is Diversifying Products. "One example is Kraft 's 2010 takeover of Cadbury for $19.5 billion. The acquisition diversified Kraft 's candy line with more than 40 brands, increased revenue and sales as well as the company 's international presence, especially in ... There have been various forms of cocaine and amphetamines that have become popular and abusive throughout the United States. The forms of cocaine are: powder and crack, and these two forms are seen as highly dangerous to the individuals that abuse it. Also, there are several types of amphetamines which have been noted to be just as addictive and dangerous as cocaine. Even though medically used amphetamines are used to calm children diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), they are still considered to be an addictive and a quite dangerous stimulant (Drug use and abuse, 2011, p. 120). According to Emrick, Lassen, and Edwards (1977), the treatment options that are available for individuals addicted to cocaine or amphetamines would consist of "peer self help groups" (Drug use and abuse, 2011, p. 372). It was stated by Regier et al., (1993) that a national survey showed over 1.5 million individuals in the United States using self help groups to overcome their drug abuse (Drug use and abuse, 2011, p. 373). In the self help group, the individual must first be ready or motivated to make the changes before attempting to join. There are also professional drug rehabilitation facilities, but not all individuals are able to afford to attend those costly facilities. In conclusion, the different forms of cocaine and different types of amphetamines are all considered addictive and dangerous to our society. Even though, there are medicinal uses for cocaine and amphetamines, there are side effects that can make life for the individuals ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

HIPAA Discussion Paper The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, HIPAA was passed by Congress in 1996 to provide the ability to transfer and continue health insurance coverage for workers as well as their families after changing or losing their jobs. As a result, new patients are required to fill HIPAA compliant forms while existing patients should update their information on a regular basis. Documenting and maintaining the HIPAA forms properly ensures that healthcare providers focus more on other aspects of their practice. The forms restrict access to patient's information by seeking the patient's permission to disclose such information in certain circumstances only. The forms thus must be available in the HIPAA compliance manual. The HIPAA forms are crucial in implementing access controls to keep track of the persons who access the patient's information. This praise led to the leaders of the thirteen colonies electing him to be the main writer of the document that would enable all of their freedom from Great Britain: the Declaration of Independence. First of all, Swift claims that Gulliver's size symbolizes misplaced human pride. He uses the Lilliputians, Houyhnhnms, Yahoos, and Gulliver to point out the misplaced pride of humans. In other words, Swift believes Gulliver's size symbolizes a vast range of knowledge. Swift reveals the Laputan's knowledge, which is not made socially useful. Of course, many will probably disagree with this assertion that Swift satirizes the knowledge of the Laputans to the knowledge of the Englishmen at the time, but he acknowledges the Englishmen's use of knowledge negatively. In addition, Swift states, "When I [Gulliver] happened to behold the reflection of my own form in a lake or a fountain, I turned away my face in horror and detestation of myself, and could better endure the sight of a common Yahoo, than of my own person." Swift believes that the Houyhnhnms, the horse race, show their intellectual size versus the Yahoo's intellectual size. Swift uses the horses and Yahoos to show the misplaced intellectual sizes. English Verb Forms Of English Grammar According to ELT and Greebaum's The Oxford English Grammar (1996) English verb forms can be systematized under two huge categories, each of them includes sub–categories of forms. 1.Inflected forms: 1.1. Base Form of verbs: In English grammar a regular English verb has only on principal part, from which all following verb forms can be derived. This form is available in dictionary and is called base form. For example, base form is paint, the inflected forms are: paint, paints, painted, painting. Hence we can notice, that the base may be called the bare infinitive and the another common way to referring to verbs is combination with –to + infinitive, for example, to paint (Greenbaum, S., 1996, Pp.118–121) 1.2. Irregular verbs have three principal parts (because the simple past and past participle are unpredictable). For instance, the verb write with the base form write, past form – wrote, and past participle – written, the remaining forms (writes and writing) are derived regularly (Greenbaum, S., 1996, Pp.126–128) 1.3. Also there are such verbs as do, say and have that additionally have irregular third person singular present tense forms. 1.4. That is, the copular verb be is irregular (forms: be, am, is, are, was, were, been and being), 1.5. On the opposition modal verbs (can and must) are defective verbs and are being used only in limited number of forms (Greenbaum, S., 1996, Pp.125–129). Mosaics SUBJECT: Art & Architecture TOPIC: Mosaics Introduction A simple form of art, Mosaic uses hundreds of small tile or pottery pieces to build large pictures and images either on the floor or on walls. The tiny little pieces of tile are known as tesserae. This technique has been adopted by many cultures throughout such as in Rome, Greece and in Middle East. The technique used in its cladding is very effective due to which this art form is long lasting Popular belief states that the Middle eastern architecture is heavily influenced by the middle ages roman and Byzantium culture and therefore has included their signature style of mosaic art form in their architecture. This holds true because the Middle Eastern region makes extensive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The first impression of Mosaic art in the Islamic architecture is seen in the Dome of the Rock, Jerusalem. Built between 688–692, it consist of glass mosaic work, and as it is an Islamic structure, the motifs are geometric and do not contain any human or animal motif. The style is inspired by the Byzantium traditions and thus incorporates many aspects of similar architecture. Even though heavily adopted from the Byzantium era, use of anthropomorphism was strictly prohibited in Islamic culture. This gave rise to evolving of unique mosaic form which included intricate geometrical design dominated by use of contrasting colour. One of the common features of Islamic mosaic form is the repetitive use of set patterns to formulate a uge geometric motif placed centrally over the structure The Umayyad Mosque situated in Damascus, which was the capital of the then Arab Caliphate, makes use of mosaic art to depict heaven in the courtyard of the structure. It is complete with the depiction of pretty flowers, beautiful trees and hills. A continuous depiction is observed in 'Barada Panel' which makes use of huge tiles, unlike the former use of small tiles. Being an Islamic structure, the mosque was devoid of any kind of human and animal motifs, even though being heavily influenced by the Byzantium style of mosaic art which essentially incorporated life forms and human and animal forms. Recent excavations revealed intricate mosaic work at Qastal, Amman. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Emily Dickinson's Use Of Form Dickinson's use of form adds to the uncertainty nature of her poems and the indeterminacy of the overall theme, but also provides a window as to her honest thoughts. Because Dickinson's poems weren't titled, they were given numbers instead. They were also referred by the first line of the poem. For example, poem 620 (435) could also be called "Much Madness is divinest Sense –". It's unclear as to the reason why she didn't title her work, but it's quite possible that she never titled any of them because she never intended to publish them. Out of all the works she did publish, she did them anonymously (Franklin 1) and she named them, but she didn't name any of the poems that she hid away. He was pronounced as the greatest living composer by the time he was 50. Throughout his lifetime he had published 138 compositions and after his death there were over 200 more compositions published. This is an amazing feat as he had started suffering from hearing loss at the age of 26 and by the time he was around the age of 46, he became fully deaf. He created some of the most famous pieces of which includes Fur Elise, Symphony No.5, and Symphony No.9. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This theme begins with a legato and lyrical style that contrasts the staccato style of the first theme. The violins are used as an accompaniment of the melodic exchange between the flute and the oboe. This exchange creates a back and forth movement between the two instruments. The melody begins with a rising fourth which is a link to the first theme. The accompaniment plays staccato arpeggios which gives a reminder of the last measure of the first theme. From measure 65, the use of syncopation previously heard measures 57 to 58 gives rhythmic drive through this section. The violins then take the lead and restate the theme with the flutes and oboes answering. Beethoven's use of diminished chords, in measure 65, and adding emphasis using sforzando adds more the dramatic nature of the passage. In measure 69, the strings have rising eighth notes with semitones. A few measures later the flutes and oboes double the violins' rising eighth notes which again underlines the importance of the rising semitone. This last until measure 77 as the second theme returns to a soft ending as the lyrical phrases played by the violins, oboes, and flutes are now played by the cellos and double basses. The codetta, or closing, begins at measure 88 and lasts until measure 110. This section creates a conclusion by combining familiar elements from the first and second themes. In measures 94 to 99, the strings have tremolos which gives a sensation of the music being at fast rhythmic tempo and in measures 100 to 109 the woodwinds and horns have slurred phrases which resembles the lyrical phrases played in the second ... • 61. Summary Of Lewis Thomas On Societies As Organisms We, human beings feel distinctly unique, individual and most importantly, unmistakably superior due to our exclusive intelligence. This is why we, as a society, tend to look down on other types of life–forms, insect or animal, as they do not possess that desired intellect. Yet, Lewis Thomas, in his opinion essay "On Societies as Organisms", argues that human society has much to learn from the communal accomplishment of other life–forms. The author effectively conveys this main idea through his use of analogy, enumeration of examples and through his level of language. To begin, Thomas astutely uses analogies to make parallels between human society and other life– forms as to inform us of our deficiencies when contrasted with those other life–forms. Thomas, first of all, defines an organism as being a "live computer" (233) composed of "component parts" (233), an accumulation of individuals communicating and working as one towards a common objective. Subsequently, the analogy of the organism is used to represent the ideal human society. Hence, when ants build their "nest" (233), "the Hill" (233), humans build their knowledge, accumulate a mountain of knowledge (235). However, what Thomas wants us to acknowledge is that human knowledge is a jigsaw puzzle in the sense that it is accumulated piece by piece, never all at once, never by a single individual (Ziman qtd. in ... Throughout the poem word choice such as "kicking", "rolling", "swinging", and "rollicking" (Kennedy 235) and visual referencing keeps the reader bouncing along all the way to the end of the poem. In the middle of the poem Williams uses a device called enjambment to create a pause in the rhythm of the poem. Critics say that Williams is trying to not only give the feel of the dance but also accurately describe how the dance was performed. "In "The Peasant Dance" there was a pause, or a stop, in the middle of the dance. Williams tries to show this part of the dance by using an enjambment to give the poem a pause just like the dance was actually performed" (Viveinne 82). The use of the enjambment not only gives the poem the physical form of the dance but also the rhythmical pause mirrors the performance of the dance. Breughel paints "The Kermess" with round figures and robust people. Williams accordingly uses words such as "bellies" and phrases like "those shanks must be sound to bear up under such rollicking measures" (Kennedy 235) to convey these points. Using such words contribute to the round, open form of his poem. Williams also states that the peasants are drinking. • 69. The Use Of Adars And Other Forms Of Rna Editing And Their... Introduction Transposable elements (TEs) such as Arthrobacter luteus (Alu) sequences make up approximately 20% of the human DNA genome. The repeated DNA sequences were once thought to be "junk" for decades after its discovery in the 1940s, however, recent data suggest that these sequences cause codon alteration and splice site relocation. Ultimately these events change the human genome. The transposable elements are believed to have risen from retrotransposition and constant RNA editing over evolution (Kim 2013). The primary mechanism for retrotransposition is caused by adenosine deaminases acting on RNA (ADARs). ADAR reactivity and potency will enable scientists to track small RNA and gene interference activities. The retrotransposition of RNA into common introns serve as indicators of sites of cancer initiation, progression, and therapeutic effects. The influx in the concentration and frequency of production Alu sequences trigger sequence mutation, generating different protein isomers, leading to cancer (Crews 2015). This Review analyzes current findings of the application of ADARs and other forms of RNA editing and their potential to revolutionize biomarker development. The future of personalized therapeutic drugs and transplant medicine is in the RNA fingerprinting and the regulation of RNA editing activities. This can be done through induction of pluripotent stem cells (isPSCs) and other stem cell applications (Germanguz 2014). Extensive research in ADARs ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

At this point in the novel their society has its first hopes of rescue and success. The fire symbolizes the society wanting saved from the island and the burning hope that it may one day happen. The Beast also appeared throughout the story as the fear of the society not succeeding and the apparent danger they were in. Piggy doesn't believe that the fear is real. He states that ""I know there isn't no beast– not with claws and all that, I mean–but I know there isn't no fear, either""(Golding, 83). If there's a beast, we'll hunt it down! We'll close in and beat and beat and beat–!"" (Golding, 102). Jack believes that the beast can be hunted down but the beast is a symbolism for the fear inside of each and every one of them. The beast cannot be hunted or killed because the beast is them. Export and import company: The use of various forms of power Working in an export–import business, I am continually reminded of the truth that power is not something that is simply done 'by' someone 'to' someone else. According to French and Raven's (1960), power exists in five fundamentally different forms: coercive, reward–based, legitimate, referent and expert–related power (Straker 2012). The ability of the leader to use such power depends on his or her position, personality, and also the contextual nature of the relationship with the follower. For example, although coercive power is often seen as a negative thing, given that it is a power which is dependent upon force, it is sometimes necessary to use when a supplier is not honoring his or her obligations to our organization. We must invoke the law and the fact they are breaking a contract to see justice done. Coercive power is defined as "the power to force someone to do something against their will. It is often physical although other threats may be used" (Straker 2012). Coercive power, I have found, is often ineffective within an organization, but can be necessary to use when dealing with recalcitrant outside entities whom are not swayed by the other types of power. A second form of power is reward–based power (Straker 2012). This is often used to motivate employees, particularly lower–level employees. Across the spectrum of social situations there's a range of language forms that are socially acceptable for each. Communication competence refers to our capacity to use our different language elements in a way that's effective and completes our output of speech in a way that helps our communication come across in the context we intended it for. This significant jump is vastly theorised but remains unexplained. There is evidence of early language being based on imitated, repetitive utterances of duality. The idea of imitated, repetitive utterances originated in the bow wow theory of hunters making animal noises while tracking these animals. Somehow from this we have developed into having extremely complex language which can be very ambiguous and its complexity exceeds the possibility for duality in most instances. It has developed so much to the point where there is literally an open possibility in terms of the sort of messages that can be portrayed with use of language. The discontinuity problem addresses this gap in development.
