WHAT IS STAR MARKETING?
 Star marketing refers to the concept of the overall brand image of the individual, not the
material they produce e.g. songs and music videos. The image of an individual is sold
through the media sites such as Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Vevo and Facebook.
 Star marketing is important because it can sell products because of the individual. It also
uses a range of different resources to market the star and using different platforms such as
social sites, it gains recognition.
STAR - Ella Eyre Timeline
 Ella Eyre is Ella McMahon stage name. She is an English singer and songwriter
signed to Virgin EMI (the record company we previously emailed for permission to
the rights to use one of her songs).
 In December 2012, Eyre featured on Bastille's cover and mash up of TLC's "No
Scrubs" and the xx's "Angels". Titled "No Angels", the song featured on the band's
2012 mixtape, Other People's Heartache, Pt. 2
 She is best known for her collaborations with Rudimental on their UK number one
single "Waiting All Night" (2013), which won the 2014 Brit Award for British Single
of the Year, and with DJ Fresh on his single "Gravity" (2015).
Ella’s Style
Ella is young and trendy. Her style is very vibrant, current and out there. Using her
fashionable sense is a good way to star market.
Ella’s Genre
 Ella’s genre of music is mostly contemporary pop music and R&B and Neo Soul.
 In her music videos she is marketed as passionate about career, who is always
having fun and embracing every moment.
 In some of her music videos narrative is used as well as just close ups of her
singing. We have taken inspiration from her style of music videos for our music
