3. FEMALE - April
April is 22 year old ex ballet dancer who is in a relationship with Elias. She began dancing when she was little as her mum
had always inspired her to follow her dancing dreams. She met Elias through ballet at university and they have been dating
ever since. During their university life, April began taking a variety of different drugs to fit in with some fellow students and
Elias. Soon she realised that the drugs were taking over her life and ruining her chances of becoming a professional ballet
dancer. In the end, she dropped out of university and checked in to a rehab clinic to stop her addiction without the help
from Elias as he was still using.
Since checking into to rehab she has understood that the drugs turned her into a different person that she didn’t want to be.
She knew that being with Elias would be tough as he was still using but she was willing to help him as long as he wanted the
help…
They have been TOGETHER for 4 years and since her return from rehab they have been continuously arguing about Elias’
drug issue.

4. MALE - Elias
Elias is also a 22 year old that is an ex ballet dancer and in a relationship with April. Elias grew up without the support from
his parents as they were always at work or away, so he is has always been independent. However when he met April at
university he relied on her a lot and when she began taking drugs Elias was reluctant as to what would happen to them, so he
started using too.
Elias started to take more and more to that state where he was in debt. He also had to drop out of university as he couldn’t
afford it due to his drug habits and his attendance slacked. Instead of gaining help from the rehab clinic April went to. Elias
continued using and slumping into debt. This has rocketed their relationship and Elias and April have been arguing to help
get him back to the person he was before.

9. Throughout our music video we will be using a variety of different props. These include –
- Cigarettes (in a scene of the characters)
- Subsidised ‘alcoholic’ drink (in a scene of the characters)
- Phone (representing a dealer calling and the female character looking at her phone)
The props emphasise the narrative and the phone can we classed as a use of product
placement.
