Centre for Innovation & Development Strategy (CIDS) is a non-political, non-profit philanthropic
organization. Registered (Reg. No.:S-8321) on the year 2007 under the ‘Society Registration Act,
XXI of 1860’. Major concentration of the organization is to bringing happiness of human beings

Network and Partnership of CIDS
EDS is based on volunteerism and action research, stablished at 2005. EDS is for children and
youth and run by them. Children and youth decide everything in EDS and adults work as
facilitators (source: https://www.facebook.com/EDS2005).
Pedagogy specialist Dr. Hafizur Rahman with a strong research team conducted different research
on the education system of EDS, ultimately an effective sustainable education model was
developed. The components of the model are as follows:
i. Learning by doing
ii. Distance education/ e-learning
iii. Formal schooling
iv. Self-evaluation
v. Ethical education
vi. ICT education
vii. Field School
viii. Voluntary activity
Education for Sustainability and Development (EDS)
1. Well-equipped learning hub with sufficient rooms for the students
2. A computer lab with a good number (minimum 100) of computers with internet connectivity
3. Raise fund from the International/National donor for self-sustainability of EDS
4. Scale-up of the model nationally and globally
5. Develop a long term (minimum 5 years) strategic document (setting mile-stones to achieve)

  • 3. EDS is based on volunteerism and action research, stablished at 2005. EDS is for children and youth and run by them. Children and youth decide everything in EDS and adults work as facilitators (source: https://www.facebook.com/EDS2005). Pedagogy specialist Dr. Hafizur Rahman with a strong research team conducted different research on the education system of EDS, ultimately an effective sustainable education model was developed. The components of the model are as follows: i. Learning by doing ii. Distance education/ e-learning iii. Formal schooling iv. Self-evaluation v. Ethical education vi. ICT education vii. Field School viii. Voluntary activity Education for Sustainability and Development (EDS)

Raise fund from the International/National donor for self-sustainability of EDS 4. Scale-up of the model nationally and globally 5.
