Uterine Fibroid
• Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous cells which can grow in the
muscle cells of the uterus.
• Also known as Uterine Myoma, can either grow as single
tumors or in clusters.
• Uterine fibroids can rarely turn to cancerous calls and do not
spread to other parts of the body.
• Women in their late 30s or early 40s can see the symptoms of
Uterine Fibroid.

Symptoms of Uterine Fibroid
• Abnormal Periods — often longer and heavier, with possible clots.
• Menstrual cramping can be more severe than usual.
• Vaginal blood discharge in between periods.
• Lower abdominal pain or pressure between the hip bones or back
of legs.
• Change in urination.
• Bloating and constipation which can include enlarged belly, or
painful bowel movements

• Age
• Obesity
• Family history of uterine fibroids
• High blood pressure
• Deficiency of Vitamin D
• Beginning of the menstrual cycles at an early age
• Alcohol consumption regularly
