2. GRADING PROCEDURES
Students' academic standing in this course is
determined by the combined results of essays,
assignments, class attendance, and general
evidence of regular and consistent participation.
Your grade will be based on mastery of the subject
and the ability to communicate clearly, effectively,
and accurately in both oral and written form.
Letter grades will be used to indicate a student's
quality of achievement in a given assignment. The
letter grades A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, D+, D, and
F, are assigned a "quality point value"
3. ASSIGNMENT SUBMISSION
The academic week begins on Monday and ends the following
Sunday night at 11:59 p.m. Mississippi time.
Each assignment’s due date must be met. Assignments
submitted after the original deadline will be considered late,
and will lose 5% of the total points for each day the
assignment is late.
Once an assignment has been submitted I will grade and
return it within 4 days from the assignment. due date
4. COMMUNICATION AND PARTICIPATION
You are expected to be an active participant in the
course. Regularly communication with classmates
and instructors online is expected and is a part of
your final grade.
Read and utilize all feedback given.
The electronic grade book will be used to track and
calculate your grades throughout the course.
Do not hesitate to ask questions. You are strongly

7. GRADING RUBRIC
The grading guidelines are based on four assignment
criteria. Keep these in mind as you complete an
assignment:
1. Assignment completion -the extent to which you’ve
followed assignment instructions
2. Understanding of materials—the extent to which
you’ve demonstrated understanding of readings or other
materials
3. Expression -the extent to which your expression is
clear, effective, and appropriate for scholarly writing
4. Grammar, mechanics, APA -the extent to which you
have used correct grammar, word choice, punctuation,
and APA formatting.
