on using technology, specifically online
tutoring to help ameliorate the gaps we
see in reading nationally across K-12
schools.
Indicate to the audience that we have a
very special keynote speaker that has spent

stage we will display a brief video of his
work outlining the key aspects.

slides Factors: loss of motivation, poor
phonics background/poor decoding skills,
ESL, not modeled at home, poor sight word

With a computer, headset w/mic and
appropriate software like Adobe Connect,
Skype, or many others on the market
students can log on and receive
differentiated-one on one instruction in the
form of remedial reading.
