The pressure of them jumping pushed my side of the trampoline up. This launched my several feet
into the air. I couldn't see anything in sharp focus. I could just see bits and pieces of blue sky and
green grass. I did two and one half backflips before I landed on my back. When I landed my arm
had ended up in the awkward position behind my back. For several seconds, all I could focus on was
the pain coming from my right wrist. I couldn't see, hear, or smell anything. After several seconds,

about a world that was no longer barren, but full of life and beauty. Feeling dejected and jealous of
his dream, the bird finally awoke to the same desolate world it had always existed in. In "Ponder"
Cereal Abraham uses hyperboles, imagery, and diction to illustrate the idea that people may use their
imagination to escape the world but it will never replace their reality. Abraham uses a hyperbole to

woody species, giving desirable, native grass species a chance to bounce back, as they can be

2010). The focus of this study was observing the effects of summer patch fires on the reduction of
unwanted woody plants and prickly pear cacti. In this study, patches were burned rather than

My Most Memorable Experience In My Life
My heart was pounding out of my chest as I walked through the frigid, pitch–black forest alone. I
could hear was the sound of the night wind blowing against the trees, crickets chirping in the tall
grass all around me, the stream flowing peacefully on my right, and my unsteady breath, which
seemed like the loudest. I walked, step by step, along a path I could barely make out. Am I going off
the trail? I questioned myself, and kept walking through the silent forest. I was on my first, and only
solo–night hike in Yellowstone, Wyoming. This was a night that I will remember forever.
Over the summer, I took a trip to Yellowstone, Wyoming with thirty–eight other eighth graders and

my life, but there was one night that impacts me every single day since. On the third night that we
were staying at our campsite, my friends and I were getting ready for bed and hanging out around
the bonfire when the camp counselors made an announcement.

once profitable growth and reputation provide the resources and opportunity necessary. Thus, the
main focus in the early stages of the business will first be to build up a clientele for the basic lawn
care services. Because this area of basic lawn care competition often lacks quality and
professionalism, especially in this part of the city, it is a top priority to set myself apart and provide

watering, fertilizing, and mowing which is recommended for buffalo grass. Buffalo grass likes the
warm weather of the southwest desert but does not go into winter dormancy at elevations below
3,000 feet. Buffalo grass also requires less water than other grasses; however, if it runs out of water
during the summer, it will enter drought–induced dormancy. Drought–induced dormancy simply

the grass roots can spread easily, absorbent enough that it will collect water and rich enough that it

I saw the sun climb up over the mountainside. "Are we almost there?" I asked Todd. "Yes we are
getting there," he replied. When we finally got to the the hillside dawn had broken. We sat
overlooking a barren hillside with lot's of dead grass. The only problem was that there were clouds
that were blocking our view.
"If this fog keeps up we won't be able to see any deer," Justin stated in a worried voice.
Finally after about 30 minutes the fog cleared. We were able to see deer all over the hillside.
"Uh Todd I see a very big deer up at the top of the hill," my mom announced. I was starting to get

"It's up by those 3 diagonal trees up there," She answered.
"Oh yeah that's a legal buck," He announced.

"Alright let's go." We walked down the hill and to the center of the valley.
