Organizational Structure
Evaluate the decision-making process and its effect within the context of increased competition
for health care dollars. Assess the wide range of challenging issues that you perceive will over
the next five years affect NURSING HOMES. Consider the following: What issues do you
perceive will need to be addressed in NURSING HOMES? What organizational structure would
best position NURSUNG HOMES as a leader in its industry?
Solution
In order to run a nursing home correctly, many staff members with different skill sets are
required to come together. Providing medical care, food and drink, personal assistance, and
activities represent the most prominent day-to-day requirements that must be met to care for the
residents. In addition, supplies must be ordered, budgets must be balanced, and money such as
payroll and taxes must be handled. Having a strong organizational structure makes it much easier
for everyone to do their part and keep the nursing home running.
Following are the points that are considered so the nursing homes function smoothly because
nursing home is not a single entity but it is place where people of multiple cultures, values come
together .

Consider the following: What issues do you perceive will need to be addressed in NURSING HOMES? What organizational structure would best position NURSUNG HOMES as a leader in its industry? Solution In order to run a nursing home correctly, many staff members with different skill sets are required to come together. Providing medical care, food and drink, personal assistance, and activities represent the most prominent day-to-day requirements that must be met to care for the residents. In addition, supplies must be ordered, budgets must be balanced, and money such as payroll and taxes must be handled. Having a strong organizational structure makes it much easier for everyone to do their part and keep the nursing home running. Following are the points that are considered so the nursing homes function smoothly because nursing home is not a single entity but it is place where people of multiple cultures, values come together . 1 Inspiration/values ? reputation of organization ? organizational values and behaviours ? quality of leadership ? risk sharing ?recognition ? communication 2 Tangible rewards ? competitive pay ? good benefits ? fairness of reward ? incentives for higher performance ? ownership potential ? recognition awards 3 Quality of work ? perception of the value of the work ? challenge/interest ? opportunities for achievement ? freedom and autonomy ? workload ? quality of work relationship 4 Work
