2. First section of radio advert
(voiceover and title)
• The use of the voiceover at the start is very conventional for post
apocalyptic film radio ads. This will attract our audience as it shows
our genre straight away.
•As the voiceover has a sophisticated voice this can be conventional to
war films and with the use of the added on effects to give it a walkie
talkie effect with a slight echo helps to capture the audience attention
even more.
•By having the symptoms of the virus being said it shows how they are
in a dangerous world and gives them a visual for what it could be like
however it doesn’t reveal any of the plot.
•The use of scores in this section fits nicely with the tone of the
voiceover and fits well together. Also the added on affects of the
breathing help it give a more cinematic feel to the radio ad and this
would appeal even more to our sophisticated audience.
3. Second section of radio advert
(narrative description/dialogue from
film)
• The tone used for the narrative description was very conventional and gave
a dark tone to the film and kept it cinematic.
•The use of language for the description was good as it didn’t as it wasn’t
made to be too smart too target our sophisticated audience and would allow
us to get a larger secondary audience as they will now be able to understand
it more.
•The dialogue extracted form the film is convenient as it captures the
audiences attention as they would want to know what happens to him as they
like to solve enigmas. As it doesn’t give away much of the narrative it makes
the radio ad more interesting while keeping it cinematic.
4. Third section of radio advert
(institutional info/ release dates)
•The tone again used for these voiceovers were conventional and kept with the
tone of the film.
•The institutional info used again wasn’t seen as too sophisticated and showed
how it is a independent film helping to attract our audience who would use
independent cinemas.
•The release dates show how it is a sophisticated film as it is being released during
the time when films get nominated for awards and that it is being shown in
independent cinemas and film festivals.
