well as professor Dr. Ajay Semalty who offer the course Academic Writing.
3. WHAT IS RESEARCH ?
Research is creative and systematic work undertaking to increase
the stock of knowledge and use of this stock of knowledge to devise
new application
Research ethics provides guidelines for the responsible conduct of
research. In addition, it educates and monitors scientists conducting
research to ensure a high ethical standard
4. RESEARCH ETHICS
Derived from Greek word “ethos”
Ethics are the guiding principles for the research
Ethics will decide what is right and what is wrong
Definition :- Research ethics is concerned with moral issues that
arise during or as a result of research activities as well as ethical
conduct of researcher.
5. DIFFERENT RESEARCH ETHICS
Honesty - Honestly report data, results, methods and procedures, and
publication status. Do not fabricate, falsify, or misrepresent data.
Objectivity - Strive to avoid bias in experimental design, data analysis,
data interpretation, peer review, personnel decisions, grant writing, expert
testimony, and other aspects of research
Openness - Share data, results, ideas, tools, resources. Be open to
criticism and new ideas.
Confidentiality - Protect confidential communications, such as papers or
grants submitted for publication, personnel records, trade or military
secrets, and patient records.
Non-discrimination - Avoid discrimination against colleagues or students
on the basis of sex, race, ethnicity, or other factors that are not related to
their scientific competence and integrity.

Human subject protection - When conducting research on human subjects, minimize
harms and risks and maximize benefits; respect human dignity, privacy, and autonomy
Carefulness - Avoid careless errors and negligence; carefully and critically examine your
own work and the work of your peers. Keep good records of research activities.
Respect for intellectual property act - Honor patents, copyrights, and other forms of
intellectual property. Do not use unpublished data, methods, or results without permission.
Give credit where credit is due. Never plagiarize.
Responsible publications, mentoring - Publish in order to advance research and
scholarship, not to advance just your own career. Avoid wasteful and duplicative
publication. Help to educate, mentor, and advise students. Promote their welfare and
allow them to make their own decisions.
Respect for colleagues - Respect your colleagues and treat them fairly

I am thanking Swayam for giving a wonderful experience. It was
very use full class about Academic Writing. The way of taking class
was very good and the style of presentation also, Webinar was a
great experience to interact, it made a easy way of learning and
teaching. Its was quite informative and also well helped to solve our
queries, all the answers as well as the questions are relevant and
helped me to acquire more information regarding Academic Writing.
