S.A.V.E.

 1. 1. Sponsor A Volunteer Engagement Program S.A.V.E. InComing eXchange (Development Traineeship and Education Traineeship) AIESEC in USM
 2. 2. Sponsor A Volunteer Program (SAVE) is the latest initiative by Incoming Exchange Department (DT/ET) of LC USM SAVE’s objective is to help NGO to gain access to AIESEC’s global talent and help Companies to run Corporate Social Responsibility programs at the same time
 3. 3. Motivation of SAVE ~ the need to work with NGOs~

Most NGO in Malaysia has a good organization background and wants to recruit international volunteers to work.

However, recruiting internationals require a lot of financial support

 4. 4. Motivation of SAVE ~Tapping into the Corporate Social Responsibility Market~ Corporate Sectors in Malaysia are interested to run CSR programs. The only way holding them back is the right channel to do it. Coming up with a specialized CSR program requires a lot of resources which includes Human Resource. Its also very risky to run CSR programs on their own platform as its not related to their core business.
 5. 5.

AIESEC in USM realises the potential of the NGO and CSR Market

Hence SAVE is developed to counter all the

threat and capitalized on all the opportunites

that NGO and CSR can offer!

 6. 6. Product Development For NGOs , Development Trainees of AIESEC will work with them for no charge at all This will enable AIESEC to have access on their ongoing projects, syllabus and expertise which usually takes us months of research through PBOXes
 7. 7. Product Development For CSR programs , Corporate Sectors need not to come up with new modules or program for CSR Corporate Sectors will just have to collaborate with AIESEC to sponsor Development Trainees to selected NGOs.
 8. 8. Methadology of SAVE ~ How does SAVE actually works?~ The TN Taker are split into two.. One being the Volunteer Engager and another one being the Volunteer Sponsor
 9. 9. Volunteer Engager Volunteer engagers are actually the NGO who is going to accept to work with them Engagers are selected based on their track record, program and job description which they can offer the DT Interns
 10. 10. How to become a Volunteer Engager? NGO with strong track records will have to provide the interns with a strong Job Description. NGOs too are encourage to provide minimum remunerations such as accommodations and transportation. NGOs are required to take in 3 or 5 interns at a batch.
 11. 11. Volunteer Sponsors Volunteer Sponsors are actually the Corporate Sectors who is going to accept to sponsor the DT Interns to work for the NGO. Sponsors are selected based on their past records of working with NGO or ran CSR programs before.
 12. 12. How to become a Volunteer Sponsor? Corporate Sectors or InKind Sponsors will just have to sponsor the DT interns in this two packages. Package A – 3 DT Interns ( RM 1200 ) Or Package B – 5 DT Interns ( RM 2000 ) Sponsors too are to provide minimum remunerations such as accommodations and transportation.
 13. 13. Comparison between Normal DT Programs and SAVE Comparison between Normal DT Programs and SAVE Able to tap into CSR Grants and In-Kind Sponsors Unable to tap into CSR grants and In-kind Sponsors Cooperate with Corporate sectors together with NGO to have better quality forms with added value. Cooperate with Corporate sectors in PBOX which requires a lot of manpower to run High success rate as NGO are taking in DT Interns for free Success rate is low because it is too costly for NGO to engage with AIESEC DT TN forms are raised at the rate of 3 or 5 forms at once DT TN forms are raised at the rate of 1 or 2 forms at once SAVE Normal DT Programs
 14. 14. Advantages of SAVE

Flexibility – Sponsors can be companies or in-kind sponsors

Speed – Raising 3 or 5 forms at once

Market Expansion – DT not bounded by NGO, corporate sectors can join in the programmes

Testimonial for MT/TT – Potential TN taker can invest in DT volunteers before they take in MT/TT interns – lower cost

Advantages of SAVE Flexibility Sponsors can be Corporate Sectors or In-kind sponsors Speed DT TN Forms are raised at the rate of 3 to 5 forms at every one time Total Market Expansion Development Traineeship are no more bounded by NGOs only. Corporate Sectors can join in the program as well. Testimonial for MT/TT Potential TN taker can invest in DT volunteers before they take in MT/TT interns. DT Interns will be a living example of how AIESECers work in the society.
 15. 15. Sponsor A Volunteer Engagement Program Providing NGO with a golden opportunity to work with AIESEC’s international Interns Changing the world, One Exchange at a Time
