2. Interpersonal/Neighbor and Social
Relationship
- it is relating to relationships or
communication between people.

3. What is Neighbor?
- The neighbor, on the other hand, is the
personal relationship that we have with
people. This is a relationship characterized by
intimacy and a choice to be friend somebody,
not just because of the given situation or
social functions, but because of the other
person himself or herself, the other person’s
very being.

4. What is Socius?
- The socius is the indirect relationship that we
have with people brought about by structures,
institutions, or social functions.

5. Paul Ricœur
Socius is the human relationship that you
have with an organized group or the
person that you can encounter through
his/her social function. On the other
hand, Neighbor is the personal way that
you can encounter another as a person,
the interpersonal, with varying degrees of
intimacy.

We are in the world of connections;
intentionally or unintentionally everybody is
connected to everybody, to everything, to the
world, to God thus making human life as
social.
