This is the list of the equipment and software that was used when producing my trailer.

3. Canon EOS 1100D Camera
This camera was the one that we used
to film our trailer on. Features such as
the aperture allowed us to change the
exposure so that the lighting was
correct. Also, we could easily focus the
camera and zoom using the zoom lens.
Therefore, this camera was helpful to us
in a number of ways during the
production of our trailer.

4. Tripod
We used a tripod provided by our
college in a lot of our filming of our
trailer. This is because it is used to
steady the camera to ensure that
scenes filmed on it aren’t shaky and
don’t make the audience feel
disorientated. However, in some scenes
of our trailer we didn’t use the tripod as
we wanted to create a POV shot which
would be shaky such as in the scene
where Jamie is running away from the
car within the jump cuts.

5. Zoom Microphone
This was used to record our sound
effects in our trailer such as the shower
running and the breathing over the top
of the running scene. We plugged
earphones into the zoom microphone in
order to be able to hear whether we
were getting clear sound easily. We
ensured we recorded our sounds in a
quiet environment and once we had
done each sound several times we put
them onto the computer and listened to
them back. The zoom microphone was
easy to use and meant we could record
our sound quickly and effectively.

6. SOFTWARE

7. Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015
We used adobe premiere pro to edit our
film trailer. Tools within this programme
such as the pen tool allowed us to
create effects necessary in order to
make our trailer fit horror conventions.
The software was difficult to use at first
however after continually using it and
learning new features each lesson, it
quickly became easy to do.

8. Garageband
This software was very helpful to use
during the time of making the sound for
our horror film trailer. We first tested it
out by looking at several different
instruments and playing around with
them. Then, after learning which
instruments we liked and which fitted
with our genre, we began to create the
music using this software as it had been
simple and quick to use. Garageband
helped us a lot in the production stage
of our trailer as it meant that the music
could easily be created to make
something unique and original yet still
fitting the genre of our trailer.
