2. Importance of a brand guildeline
It is important for each media product to have a brand guideline. This is
essentially a template on how to process the product in a similar format
each time. Applying this to real-life, this is useful for the team of people
who print and process magazines as they know how the magazine
company want their final prints to look in terms of fonts and colour
schemes. This also maintains the identity of the product and keeps it
recognisable and established for their audience.
3. COLOUR SCHEME
After many changes within my colour scheme, I
finally decided on pink and purple tones
throughout. The reason for this was because my
feature pages including my front cover are all
based on a black or dark undertone background
so I found that more prominent vibrant colours
like shades of pink and purple worked best
against the backgrounds.
The colours essentially allow important wording
and aspects of page to stand out more.
Furthermore, with a larger percentage of the R&B
demographic being female, these colours are
representative of female empowerment and
glorifies them within the music industry.
4. FONTS
The majority of my main fonts that I used were downloaded from ‘dafonts’.
