GEORG SIMON OHM
• Georg Simon Ohm was a German physicist and mathematician.
He is Born on March 16, 1789 in Erlangen, Germany and he
died July 06, 1854 on Manich, Germany. He received award
Copley Medal. And he also known for Ohm’s phase law and
Ohm’s acoustic law.
• Georg Simon Ohm had humble roots and struggled financially
throughout most of his life, but the German physicist is well
known today for his formulation of a law, termed Ohm's law,
describing the mathematical relationship between electrical
current, resistance and voltage.
WHAT IS OHM’S LAW
• Ohm’s Law is the core equation used to study electrical circuits. It holds that the
potential difference between two points on a circuit equals the product of the
current between those two points and the total resistance of all electrical devices
existing between those two points. The greater the voltage of a battery (or its
total electrical potential difference), the greater its current will be. Likewise, with
greater resistance, there will be less current
