The nature of logic and critical thinking go hand in hand. A person must use logic during the critical thinking process. However, each person's logic
may depend on his/her perceptual process or their perceptual barriers. No person can ever fully understand their own perceptual process in its
entirety. The reason being is that no person knows all of their perceptual barriers. Without knowing all of the barriers, how is a person able to
determine the process in which they perceive things? While a person may know or assume some of their perceptual barriers, some of their perceptual

A person's overall upbringing and self–concept can also be considered barriers at times. Other potential barriers are expectations and schemata. As
humans we take everything into our own perspective instinctively. Our emotional state also influences our thinking and perception. Certain situations
may come about that cause us to be so emotional that we cannot possible think critically or with logic because the emotion is so strong it will not
allow our brains to function at its full capacity to evaluate the situation properly. Some of the emotions that can cause perceptual barriers are passion
and depression. If a person is so passionate about something he/she will not be able to have and "open mind" about certain issues because their passion
is so strong it will not allow anything other than what they believe true. Depression can be a potential barrier because a person who is depressed is not
thinking with full logic. They are depressed therefore their thought and their thought process are inhibited. Stress can also cause a perceptual barrier,
especially since stress and depression are often times linked together. A person who is so stressed out cannot think straight and can be irritable and
irrational. This will cause a perceptual barrier so strong that it will be hard to go around it.

First, if the reason is inside God, it goes against our definition of God as a substance because substances necessarily exist (Proposition 7.) Thus the
reason is not inside God. Second, if the reason exists outside God, then we would be implying that a thing outside of God exists that is causing God's
non–existence. This thing that explains God then necessarily has the same nature as God because if not, it could not be the cause of God (Proposition
3.) But if it does have the same nature, we would consequently be claiming that God exists because this thing outside of god will identical to God.
Thus, no matter where the reason for God's non–existence lies, we cannot prove that God does not exist, and therefore God must exist.

pretenses: wearing these clothes will not make us look or play like Michael Vick; and false authority (Seagull Reader): what does a football
quarterback know about clothes?
This next ad is for a movado watch; the watch is celebrating the art of time. The ad also introduces trumpet player Wynton Marsalis,
composer–performer, and virtuoso. The product being advertised is the watch and the setting is Wynton Marsalis. The ad is comparing the watch to
Wynton's music, which is an art. Hence both Wynton's music and the watch are in some correlation to the art of time. The first fallacy that comes to
mind when viewing the ad is its tintillation (D. Frailey): which is the color of both the watch and Wynton Marsalis, it is of great comparison and the
blend is magnificent. Non sequitur fallacy is now referring to: wearing the watch would not make one become as talented as Wynton Marsalis; false
authority: what does a Wynton Marsalis know about movado watches. The ad appeal to popularity: Wynton Marsalis is a well–known artist he is used
to manipulate the sale factor of the watch.
The next ad is an advertisement of a shoe. The product is a shoe and the setting is a motorcycle wheel. Cleary the ad is comparing the shoe with the
