SUMMARY EXPERIENCE
As a Senior Technician I maintain a professional appearance and disposition at
all times, exhibiting professional courtesy whenever dealing with co-workers
and/or other persons involved with job project. The ROV Senior Technician will:
Assist ROV supervisors in determining field solutions and resolving
project barriers.
Adhere to all C-Innovation policies and procedures.
Foster a professional and safe work environment.
Maintain, repair and troubleshoot ROV systems.
Observe safe working practices and adhere to mechanical/electrical
principles and industry standards.
Work independently or as a member of a team.
Carry out assigned administrative duties in a timely manner.
Perform piloting, navigation and log keeping.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance, as well as troubleshoot
and give input to field solutions.
Establish priorities and accomplish objectives.
Read and generate schematics and perform other related duties as
required.
Strive to learn new technical and operational issues while on the job.
Foster the mentoring of ROV technicians in the field.
Report to the ROV supervisor while on board the installation or report to
the operations coordinator, operations manager and/or personnel
logistics department while on shore.
Be capable of the launch and recovery of the ROV system.
Perform all duties within the safe operating parameters for the handling
system.
Ensure that the ROV is checked before and after a dive in accordance
with relevant pre- and post-dive check lists.
Follow lock out and tag out procedures in accordance with C-Innovation
policies.
Perform weekly and monthly system maintenance.
Maintain a clean and presentable workspace.
Be adequate in experience of the work.
Have an adequate understanding of the system being worked on, as
well as practical experience of that class of system.
Be aware of the hazards that may arise during the work, as well as the
precautions that need to be taken.
Have the ability to recognize whether it is safe for work to continue at all
times.
Understand and operate within the established company HSE policies
and operating standards.
Operate the ROV system as directed by the system superintendent.
Be familiar with all relevant task procedures, ensuring operations and
data recording are carried out
correctly.
Carry out planned maintenance and repairs on the ROVs and
associated equipment as required.

2. Willing to work offshore in harsh weather environments on a rotation or call-out basis.
Responsible for the repair, maintenance and operation of the ROV umbilical cable handling system (winch
and hydraulic power unit).
Responsible for the repair and maintenance of the ROV hydraulic and mechanical systems.
Maintain the mechanical spares shipboard inventory.
Aware of legislation/guidance, e.g. reporting accidents and managing safety of team on night shifts.
Demonstrate a commitment to safety by setting an example on safety issues and demonstrating safety
leadership to subordinates and work colleagues.
Communicate safety information to team members when needed.
Effectively use the company safety management system.
Have a knowledge of emergency procedures.
Manage team members during an emergency.
Have a knowledge of the ROV team members' roles and responsibilities.
