Subsea Specialist
I am responsible for the continual operation and maintenance in relation to
Halliburton’s Subsea product line. These duties include, but are not limited to;
servicing of all subsea equipment, preparing equipment for operations and
keeping the organization and cleanliness of the department at a high standard.
Further duties include on-site preparation and running a full range of
Halliburton Subsea products mainly in the Angola region but also at
international locations as required.
I am to ensure full compliance with company procedures, policies, JSA &
permit to work systems. Work within company HSE standards and to ensure
the customer receives the superior service quality expected.
The subsea products I am responsible for servicing and testing include;
Subsea Test trees, Retainer Valves, Lubricator valves, Test panels/pumps and
Reelers. I also assist with maintenance of the following DST equipment, SPS-
15 Samplers, Armada Carriers, SPS-A Samplers and Sample Cylinders. These
tools are pre-charged and pressure tested with Nitrogen/Water up to a possible
15,000psi in preparation for operation. Responsibilities also include running the
Subsea product line on-site and performing all operations as instructed by the
Driller.

Make up and operation of Subsea Landing strings and all associated
equipment.
Fault finding, Servicing and maintaining all subsea equipment including,
Hydraulic control panels, Hose Reels, Umbilical’s, Test trees

I Attended a 28 week training School at Halliburton’s manufacturing Plant in Carrollton
USA. Topics covered were the hands on strip and build of the various subsea landing
