actually see. You were born to
have.

5. The actual self and the ideal self are two broad
categories or self-concept.
SELF-CONCEPT – refers to your awareness of
yourself. The construct that negotiates the
actual and ideal selves.

6. ACTUAL SELF
-Built on self-
knowledge.
- who you really are
- How you think, feel
and act.
- can be seen by
others.

IDEAL SELF
-How you want to be.
- idealized image that you
developed over time.
- may include components
of what your parents have
taught you.
- what you admire ion
others
- what the society
promotes
- what you think is best for
you.
