1. Articulate Introduction
What is Articulate?
Articulate is a slide authoring tools with
two kinds of features:
Static – this includes adding pictures,
videos and text boxes in slides
Dynamic – adding triggers and markers
This course will teach you how to use
articulate for creating courses
2. Learning Objectives
In this course you will learn how to:
• Create a Slide and Add a Character
• Create the Whiteboard and Text
• Review the Timeline
• Record Audio Narration
3. `Create the slide and add a character.
Insert a new slide. Select the blank
layout.
Go to the Design tab. Apply a new
design theme. Use one of the gradient
backgrounds.
Go to the Home tab. Add a rectangle to
the screen to create a horizon line.
Right-click the rectangle and select
Format Shape.
4. Create the white board and text.
Add a rectangle to the slide to create
a whiteboard.
Apply a white background quick style
to the rectangle.
You should have a screen that looks
kind of like the one below.
Review the timeline.
Look at the timeline and notice the
objects on the timeline. You can slide
them left or right to change when
they come in and out. You can also
change the layering position by
moving them up and down.
5. Record audio narration.
We’ll record some quick audio and
then sync the three paragraphs to
the audio.
Go to Insert tab. Select Sound and
then select Record Mic. Record
something simple like this text: "This
is paragraph one. It is very
interesting. This is paragraph two. It
is shorter. This is paragraph three."
You should see the audio track on
the timeline.
