• Byju is an e-learning platform founded in 2015 by Think and Learn Pvt Ltd.
keeping the focus on primary and secondary school education in India. It was
founded by Byju Raveendran who himself was a teacher for various
competitive exams. Byju app has more 3 lakh annual paid subscriber.
• Byju’s objective to make learning easy for the student and every student
should love learning and get addicted to learning. Byju app trying to make it
possible by use of a mix of video lessons and interactive tools to personalize
learning for every student.

3. Online education is growing fast in India as many students have access to smartphones and consume
content through digital mediums. According to a joint report by Google and KPMG, India's online
education industry is expected to grow almost eight times to hit US$ 1.96 billion by 2021, with the
number of paid users rising six-fold from 1.6 million now to 9.6 million.1 While this space is expected
to see an uptrend in the next few years, BYJU’s – The Learning App founded by Byju Raveendran,
has carved a niche for itself. Known for his unconventional and practical methods of teaching that
grew popular over the years, his app now has more than 1.5 crore users with around 10 to 11 lakh
students being added each month.
