Main activities and responsibilities:
Defective Material Management
• Working on RFA process (Defective Material Management) wherein we make sure that the
replacement parts are shipped against different parts to OEM's across the globe.
• FSR raises RFA for defective replacement at customer’s end without affecting the production line
(Engine built at PWC) and we make sure that the parts are shipped well on time.
• Back order follow up on daily basis with the buyers and co-ordinate the same with PWC FSR
ensuring the part shipment dates match and there is no time lag. Once the part is available,
Infotech creates delivery (In SAP) virtually and the part is physically picked and shipped from
PWC to respective OEM.
• Once the part leaves the PWC dock Infotech monitors freight forwarded details by playing an
active role in supply chain management. And Infotech gives the AWB # to the FSR for tracking
the shipment.
• Proposal for the Inventory reductions by analyzing the inventory consumptions for the OEM
consignment materials and there after taken over the process from Pratt & Whitney Canada.
• Coordinate with client to ensure clarity on performance standards, alignment of performance
metrics with business objectives, performance dashboard reviews and resolving process
escalations.
Program Support
• Production Planning through Master Production Schedule.
• Initiating Material Transfer across Storage units to fulfill Production shortage and for Inventory
reduction.
• Initiating Job Orders for Conversion of D&S and cancelled parts to reduce dead inventory.
• Inventory reduction by tracking & analyzing requirement of dummy demands.
• Handling Material Master Creation Process.
• Providing visibility on Engine manufacturing status to OEM’s
• Tracking of Vendor/Outsource Parts for its on time delivery to the Vendor.
• Incoming Quality analysis by tracking the Volume and type of defect. Intend is to have control on
Quality of Parts supplied form the Vendor.
EC Management
• Analyze the engineering changes like part dimensions, material change for a given part and
ensure the right upgraded part is brought into production.
• Analysis of bill of material change to ensure whether the upgraded part is routed to the respective
engine at all OEM’s.
• Regular follow up is done with respective buyers to ensure the upgraded part is brought into
production well within the lead time.
• Defective engines coming back from different OEM’s to PWC are monitored regularly and
analyze the part that is affected for that engine by doing RRCA.
• Active participation in Quality activities RRCA (Relentless root cause analysis).
• Analyzing and transfer of materials from production stores to experimental stores.
• Follow up for the release of new purchase order against engineering changes and closure of the
purchase order against old part number.
• Identified process inefficiencies and resolved critical issues by effectively implementing the
Quality Clinic Process Chart tool.
