2. With the help of design basics, it is clear that how to use
element of design while designing a dress. We learned about
element :- point, shape , form etc. how to create line with the
help of point and many more. About of this, we also learned
how to dra the shape and pa erns through these shapes.
And also have created Islamic pa erns etc. created mo f at
oun, and through repea ng these mo fs, pa ern take places.
Also created forms that is 3d form of shape and designed a
dress have different silhoue es, with these 3d forms.
INTRODUCTION

3. PLISSE EFFECT
Plisse effect is the concept of paper folding in any direc on.
First of all we learned about some paper folding and created
Japanese fan pleats.
A er than these pa erns were taken onto the fabric and thus
created a design with the help of plisse effect. The fabric I clear
form this effect was- co on, polyester. And later select organdi
fabric for s ffness.

4. This year our college held the
event named :- iden ty
exhibi on on -9th &10th Nov.
2017. the exhibi on concept was
‘hooked’ living out the budding
designer. The are same devious
types of pleats by hand using
methods like furl, crimp, tuck
even plisse smoking, shirring one
of many other specialist terms

industry this is usually done .

This year we got opportunity to
showcase our crea on though
iden ty exhibi on We worked on
the plisse effect. For this I have
created folds on the paper and
them on the organdi fabric in my
crea on I have used mountain &
valley shapes V form. In this V
form each panel heavily same
size. I was also inspired by
origami art so I chose the
mountain & valley pa ern
