5. design basics, it is clear that how to use
element of design while designing a dress. We learned about
element :‐ point, shape , form etc. how to create line with the
help of point and many more. About of this, we also learned
how to dra the shape and pa erns through these shapes.
And also have created Islamic pa erns etc. created mo f at
oun, and through repea ng these mo fs, pa ern take places.
Also created forms that is 3d form of shape and designed a

8. Point
A point depicts and limited loca on, it is also
used in Indian culture in the form of tradi on
auspicious symbol known as bindi or bindu. It
creates a contrast with the background which
impious a strong iden ty and approach.
Line
A line is series of connects point it is the
simplest of design element all line now
direc on length and width. three and four
line created a shape and form. Line crated
movement by eye.

9. Shape
Shape is outer edge of an area sounded by a
closed line. Silhoue e is the garment when
being wearer. Space is the area with in the
shape. Garment have a 3d from that the are
view from front view, side view, back view.
Volume
The amount of space that the garment have
occupies.
Mass
Mass is men on for the weight of the
garment.

10. Pa ern
In fashion design pa ern are created on the
texture. Or surface of the fabric by using
shape, line, and that design is repeated two
or more me that called pa ern.
In fashion design texture refers to the nature
of the surface of the fabric or trimming which
we used for the garment. It can be defined
through visualizing and feeling there are
many type of texture like:‐ smooth, rough,
so etc.

Colour, important role play a garment. Colour
is the first thing which a ract the costumes.
Form
When we join point, line, shape, texture it
create a form or silhoue e of the garment.
Ornament
Which we use on the garment for the
decora ve purpose like:‐ bu on etc.

12. Proposing/scale
This is use to divide the fabric or a garment
according to the body shape.
Light
Light effects the colour of the garment.
Colour is change according to day and night.
Space
The inaner area of the garment.
Time
Time taken by garment for comple on.
