Showing Cerebrum with its poles, lobes, borders and surfaces. For all its anatomy colorful pictures are shown for students to understand better.
Along with anatomy functional areas with functions is shown diagrammatically so that student will remember the functions.
Sulci and gyri of each surface are shown diagrammatically with
with the list of each lobe
Anatomical position helps students during practicals.
9. CEREBRUM
CEREBRUM (PALLIUM) – is the largest part of the brain.
• It occupies anterior, middle and upper part of posterior cranial fossa
• It is made-up of outer grey matter and inner white matter and basal
ganglia within the white matter
• Each hemisphere contains a cavity called lateral ventricles
EXTERNAL FEATURES:
• 1. Has three surfaces
• 2. Four borders
• 3. Three poles
• 4. Four lobes Vijaylaxmi Pattanshetti
