8. Interview
I have interview about 10/15 people. I preferred to interview them instead of
giving out questionnaire. The reason for this is because in an interview I could
ask more questions from the conversations we have made. This gave me
more information which I haven’t included in my questions but I will include in
my magazine. On the next slide I have gave an example of one of the
people that I have interview. I decided to write about one instead of all of
them. I liked that I did this because it gives me an idea and a face to the
person from the interview. Not everyone wanted to have a picture taken so I
had to respect that.
9. I interviewed Melissa. She is 16 a
White British female which is currently
in a relationship.
This is psychographic information.
This mean that I am interested about
her hobbies, what brand she likes and
personal interest about her personality.
Melissa likes to shop in Zara, H&M,
Topshop and Jack Wills.
Melissa likes art and she even
takes
It for A levels. She loves
watching series
such as American Horror Story.
She says that she has no dress
style but
she likes to dress very casual
and cosy.
Melissa listens to; house,
chill,
rap, RNB and time to
time some
hip hop. She enjoys to
listen to music
while doing her
homework
or when she is relaxing.
However, she does not
go to gigs or festivals.
Even more, she doesn’t
spend money
on physical or
download music.
She does not buy music
magazines but if she looks at
one she would like to see what
the articles would be about. She likes to look at stuff online
and buy them because she says its much easier. Melissa likes to visit the
website called ‘buzz feed’ she finds it interesting as its full with random things.
Her favourite app is Instagram because she liked the photos and videos.
Melissa would not spend more than
£3 for a magazine. She likes it to be
weekly and the colours attract her to
the magazine.
10. Melissa likes the Masthead to be big because it’s the name of the magazine.
She says that bright colours are her thing. Some of the colours that she would like to find
on a music magazine are; red, black and blue.
Having cover lines on the left side is
very casual with her.
She doesn’t mind them if they are on
the right, but she
things its very popular to see
them on the left.
The cover lines should be
smaller then the Masthead. This way she
says that the masthead would not get lost.
There should be no colour, but then she added
depending on the cover image.
The font should be different so the magazine
looks more interesting and eye catching.
Melissa finds middle close up images better then full body.
She likes to look at the makeup and hopefully see a familiar artist’s face.
She thinks a lot of makeup is good for the front cover and that it should be female.
Finally, she doesn’t mind the pose of the model on the front cover but she would like
the model to look at the camera because it catches her eye.
