1. Contributed to advance many CAR-T/immuno-oncology projects: Engineered 8-
10 antigen presenting cells (APCs) cell lines to support chimeric antigen receptor
(CAR)-modified T cells using proprietrary non-viral expression systems at Intrexon.
2. Increased lab workflow and management efficiency: Authored and co-authored 4-
5 SOPs. Participated in Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) launch for recordkeeping,
and conducted multiple optimization assays for validation
3. Experience with all processes of tissue culture for cell lines and primary cells:
single-cell cloning, PBMC isolation, cell enrichment/depletion. Experience with
human biological samples and infectious agents (BSL2/3 lab).
4. Expertise in using flow cytometry (FACS) to analyze target or receptor
expression, phenotype, activation, proliferation or cytotoxicity, and other assays
such as WES, ELISA, DNA/RNA isolation and analysis, qPCR, gene cloning,
siRNA/shRNA.
5. Optimized/Validated bioassays (proliferation, cytotoxicity, cytokine production),
and tissue culture conditions (growth, expansion, cryopreservation) resulting in
process or downstream assay improvement.
6. Excellent track record in GLP/GMP environment: 1) Achieved a >95% on-time,
accurate data delivery in performing GLP/GMP assays, 2) Increased revenue by 45%
and testing efficiency by 15% by validating new qPCR assays

error in performing GLP/GMP assays). Managed team of 8-10 lab operators
(BioReliance), 2 lab technicians and 3 students (UCI and NIH).
