Responsibilities:
Level 2 Technical support (Present responsibilities)
• Involved in maintenance of critical situation like BSC/RNC BREAKDOWN, BCSU, ICSU
breakdown and timely replacement of cards etc & also working on various issues in OMU,
BCSU, MCMU, ICSU, RSMU.
• Escalation of Critical, Emergency cases to CARE by raising case IDs and make the team to
implement CARE suggestions to solve the issues in Network.
• Creation of GB interface(GB over IP, SGSN Pooling & PCU pooling) and A interface
• Creation and deletion of 2G Functional Units (TCSM, BCSU, MCMU & OMU) and
Nonfunctional units (CLS, ET)

problem & take this up with respective teams for co-ordination.
• IP changing & configuration for PoAbis sites & deletion/recreation for IP sites
• TXN E1 cross connection verification on allocated time slots for site rectification
• Perform review of Network performance using PM reports (Worst
performing cells, sleeping cells, zero call cells, VSWR issues, TCH Completion / Assignment,
etc.) Analyze KPI reports & rectify the faults.
Level 1 System alarm monitoring
• Close Monitoring and minimizing of Equipment Related Alarms.
• Opening Trouble tickets from network alarms or external fault reports, escalating trouble
tickets, both technical and management.
• Escalation of the problems to Higher Level technical support center and regular follow up till
100% resolution.
• Periodic BSC/RNC Software backup bi-monthly to ensure safety of BSC/RNC data.
• Perform diagnosis & switchover of all computational units to minimize hardware faults, thus
prevent network outage, Co-ordination with BSS Team for additions and alterations.
• Leading the team for proper notification of Service Affecting / alarms & by resolving the same
in the network within the operator specific SLA & OLA.
• Analyze various Real Time reports & fix the issues immediately based on severity (Real Time
FM reports, online active alarm report, Real time CGR report, etc.)
• Preparation and Analysis of daily Network Performance Reports.
• Performing corrective Maintenance activities like Capacity addition in BTS/BSC
• Coordinating Card replacement activities in BTS and BSC
• Commissioning & integration of New BTS sites
