This project are mainly used to preform the basic operation .

2.  An calculator is a small, portable electronic device
used to perform both basic and complex operations of
arithmetic.
 Aim of this project is to design a calculating device
capable of performing basic calculations (add,
subtract, multiply, divide) on two operands.

3. 1. ATMega 16 microcontroller
2. Basic calculator keypad
3. 2x16 LCD
 Keypad and LCD are connected with microcontroller to
make an easy man-machine interface to make the
calculator capable of performing the desired function.

7. • Move data to LCD port
• Select command/data register as
required
• Select write operation
• Send enable signal
• Wait for LCD to process the
command

8.  The functioning of calculator is as follows:
1. Enter first operand
2. Enter operator
3. Enter second operand
4. Press result key
 Along with the result, every key pressed on the keypad
(either for operand or for operator) is shown on the
LCD .
