Initial ideas for student film
1 an agent is tasked with the rescueof a high profile political figure
A controversialmember of parliament is kidnapped by terroristgroup antina
(anti nationalist action) and a secret agent is tasked with retrieving the
member of parliament and bring his kidnappers to justice.

my film will follow typical action movie conventions and will be a traditional
action movie my main influence is 2008 movie: Taken and will follow a similar
story with my own take
Narrative
TITLE
the disappearanceof Oliver Barrett
logline
with elections nearing a gang of terrorists bring the law into their own hands
when they decide to kidnap Oliver Barrett, a far rightpolitical figurebent on
brining forth controversialchanges that has pushed him to the spotlight agent
tanner, an MI5 agent proven to get unconventionaljobs done is tasked with
finding kidnapped Oliver Barrett and bringing his kidnappers to justice.

Oliver Barrett
A high-profileMP running for prime minister and has made many enemies
during his employment
Matthew carney
A social media blogger for a social media page that includes far left content
He gets involved in the kidnapping when he documents it unknowingly
Agent Tanner
A professionalMI5 agentwith a long history of successfulmissions
Gary raikes
Tanners boss extremely distant demeanor
Mike towers
Middle class university studentfeeling unimportantand his voice is not heard
joins far left terroristgroup antina to make a difference. Before this he was
always in trouble with the police and never really fit in
Thug
Not much is known he hides his face and is a man of few words little is known
about his motive either
Security
simple security guard working for a security company, his job is mainly to
chaseteens out of abandoned warehouses butis paid by antina to keep quiet
about their dwelling of an abandoned building.
PLOT
In an alternate take on modern day England, Oliver is running for prime
minister and will have to move from north east England to London before this
mike towers a troubled university studentfed up with not being heard decides
to take matters in his own hands and kidnap the man he sees as an enemy.
While Oliver is being harassed by Matthew carney a social media page owner
livestreaming for his followers after Oliver Barrett’s kidnapping an MI5 agent
called tanner is tasked with the retrieval of both OB and his main kidnapper
alive, agent tanner knows of the main suspectand immediately works on
finding him and it turns out the suspicion of mike towers being the main
aggressor is trueand tanner knows of all of his possiblehideouts and begins to
work on finding him after a run in with a warehouse security guard paid off by
mike who tells Mike that an agent is looking for him mike sends a thug after
tanner but the thug is disposed and tanner is told the location of Oliver, tanner
runs to confrontMike and they each have a standoff mike makes a run for it
and tanner chases he catches up and arrests him. He is commended and the
film ends.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The target audience is people who are looking for a fastpaced action movie
wherethe protagonistalways prevails this is mostly male but can be female
aged 16-35 and is quite a mainstream audience the film will be 4-5 minutes
long so is accessible to everyone .
This film pays homage to the taken trilogy as well as the James bond movies.
Costumes and props
I have toy weaponry to act as guns the implementation of guns will havea
more dangerous effect to every scene they are used
All costumes will be provided by me and the casts casualclothing. the villains
will wear streetwear and casualclothing the mi5 agents will wear white shirts
and black jeans/trousers

The recording studio in Sunderland college bade campus
Barnes park
The exterior of the abandoned building in backhousepark
the studio in Sunderland college
I will ensure to get permission from the owners of backhousepark to use the
exterior in filming
