Tracey Bhana
Possessing experience and knowledge from over 25 years in the hospitality industry; having been
involved in general management for the past eight years I have diverse knowledge, skills and
experience ranging from operational, guest satisfaction, policies, procedures, revenue management,
risk and compliance and legal aspects. I am passionate with regards to mentoring and coaching the
team around me and with the risk compliance and audit compliance aspect of the business.
I am able to add value and perform independently using my own initiative and innovative thinking. I
have logic and work in a methodical manner, managing priorities and time, whilst empowering,
guiding, influencing and developing the team around me.
On a personal note, I am married with no children and am an avid animal and nature lover. I enjoy
relaxing with a good book, preferably suspense or management principles, in a calm and peaceful

- The decoration aspects of the hotel in order to create the best possible ambiance
and atmosphere for the guests and patrons, keeping in mind the spirit and
positioning of the product in coordination with the Company/ Property
ADMINISTRATIVE AND LEGAL:
- Proper maintenance of all Administrative and legal documents (books, staff
salaries, medical, labour inspection, security control)
- Application of laws in the areas of prices, labour security, safety, customer
Protection, risk, compliance, health and safety, etc.
- Maintenance of all administrative procedures implemented Company/ Property
HUMAN RESOURCE:
- Staff turnover, planning, recruitment and development of Head of Departments and
- all Employees of the hotel.
- Evolution of the career of subordinates.
- Setting of goals and objectives to the Division heads.
- Adherence of wage and salary policies.
- Organisation of the Assessment Appraisal standards of the Division heads.
- Information flow in the hotel in ensuring that it reaches all levels of the hotel
- hierarchy both quantitatively and qualitatively.
- Regular organisation of Staff Information & Communication meetings.
- Perfect working rapport and coordination of the respective Divisions and
- Departments of the hotel.
- Creative development and active participation of the team.
- Ambassadorship of the Management through overall attitude and
- demeanour towards Guests and staff of the hotel.
COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establishment of the hotel’s Marketing and Revenue Plans and to ensure that once
approved, the contents of which are enforced.
- Public Relations of the hotel in the community.
- Collaboration with the Sales Manager and team to elaborate on sales strategies.
- Commercial and Guest (complaints and compliments) correspondences.
- Guest reception standards in the lobby and restaurants.
